A Prayer for World PeaceO Lord our God, who’s will is for us to live at peace with all people.
Whose will is to restore all things in your beloved Son, the King of all and the Prince of Peace.
You are the source of all goodness and love,
accept the fervent prayers of your people for the nations.
In the multitude of your mercies look with compassion
upon all who turn to you for help.
We ask that you govern the hearts and minds of those in authority in places where peace is challenged, and people’s lives are in turmoil. Where people are divided and torn apart by the ravages of sin.
Deliver us from a world without justice
and a future without mercy.
In your mercy, establish justice,
and in your justice, remember the mercy
revealed to us in Jesus Christ our Lord.
We pray that all people be subject to just and gentle rule
We ask for peace among nations,
Peace in towns and cities,
Peace in our homes, and most of all peace to reign supreme in our hearts.
God of love, turn our hearts to your ways
and give us your lasting peace.
For we ask this in the name of your dear son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Lord, we are starting to experience preparations for Christmas with bright and joyful decorations on view and songs being heard and also with our conversations about Christmas coming. Our expectations and anticipation of Christmas coming is building.
We ask that in our plans, no matter how big or how small, that you help us so our minds and hearts are focused rightly on the meaning of your first coming into the world.
Thank you for the plan you have for us and the reason for your coming.
May we examine our hearts this Advent season and find great joy in the story of your coming.
Help those who find it difficult this time of year because of sadness and loss. May they know you as the Wonderful Counsellor, the Mighty God the Everlasting Father and the the Prince of Peace.
Help us as we gather as family, friends and community this season, to be thankful, joyful and helpful to those around us.
Thank you Lord for coming to us and for us at just the right time and for giving us your peace and joy.
In Jesus name we pray.

Lord, we thank you that we can come to you with prayers for ourselves, others, and the world. You provide us with your peace and security knowing that nothing can separate us from your love.
We thank you that your word reminds us that in this world we will have troubles and tribulations, wars and rumours of wars until you return.
May we put our trust in you and your love knowing that your love casts out all fear.
O God, the comfort of all who are sorrowful, and the salvation of those who put their trust in you, in this dying life, give us that peace for which we humbly pray, and finally receive us into eternal joy in your presence; through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
NICENE CREED We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us* and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. Father, you are the God of Israel and they are your people.
You named them, though they did not know you.
Lord, cleanse them from their iniquities, and pardon all of their sins. Save them with an everlasting salvation that only comes through Jesus.
Raise them up in righteousness and direct all their ways.
Redeem Israel out of their troubles.
Be a shelter to your people, and the strength of your children Israel.
Bring health and healing to them and to their land, revealing to them your abundance of peace and truth.
Let the eyes of their understanding be enlightened.
Give them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let Israel be to you a name of praise, and an honour before all the nations of the earth, proclaiming all the good you do for them, and causing fear and trembling among the nations because of the goodness and prosperity you provide for it.
Let Israel dwell safely in their land, delivered from the trouble from all the kingdoms of the earth.

May the God of endurance and encouragement
grant us to live in such harmony with one another,
in accord with Christ Jesus, that together we may
with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord,
You loved the world so much,
That you gave your one and only Son,
That we might be called your children too.
We are so grateful for your unconditional love and sacrifice for a world so underserving.
Lord, help us to live in the gladness and grace of Easter, everyday.
May we have hearts of thankfulness for your sacrifice.
May we have eyes that look upon
Your mercy and grace and rejoice in our salvation.
Help us Lord to walk in that mighty Grace and tell of your Good News to the world so all will know of your love.
We are eternally thankful for the life Jesus gave so that we might live.
All for your glory do we pray.

A Prayer for Lent.
Lord God, we thanks you for this period of Lent where we reflect on our need for you in all things. Thank you for the Holy Spirit who helps guide us because we cannot find our own way to you.
In the midst of our weakness, we ask that you would be strong on our behalf. Lord let you Spirit shine our of every broken place we've walked through. Allow your power to be evident through our own weakness, so that others will recognise it is you who is at work on our behalf.
Thank you too that you strengthen us against the temptations of the evil one. Shield us against our foes, seen and unseen.
Teach us to do your will, that we may always love you before all things with a pure mind. For you are our maker and our redeemer, our help, our comfort, our trust, our hope, and we praise you, for you make all things new.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
A prayer for the worldwide pandemic of the COVID-19 Virus.
Lord, we are faced with the worldwide pandemic of the COVID-19 virus.
We pray for those we love, our community, our country, and the world.
We pray also for ourselves, that our efforts to stop the spread and from contracting the virus would be effective.
We pray for all our healthcare workers. Would you sustain them and protect them as they attend to those who have become sick from the virus.
We pray for government. Help them continue to serve citizens with information and assistance as the challenges stretch society economically and socially.
Lord, you are our rock, our firm foundation. We submit ourselves to you asking that you provide our daily bread, protecting and sustaining us all during this challenging time.
Lord, as the psalmist reminds us in Psalm 94, we also pray…. When I was burdened with worries you comforted me and made me feel secure.
Thank you for hearing and answering our prayer.

The Peace of God, which passes all understanding,
keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God,

I believe in God,

Steve prays for our community.
A healthy unified and active community is pivotal to society and so wherever we are we pray for our community that it is strong and healthy and we pray for those who lead us.
Steve prays for healthcare services.
Often we take for granted our healthcare professionals who are on the frontline in providing us with care. We pray for good care and those who provide it for us.
Steve prays for the grieving.
Every person will experience seasons of grief because death and loss are a part of this transitory life. Psalm 34:18 says that “the LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” God understands our grief and offers to be with us and comfort us with promises from His Word and with the “peace that passes all understanding”. So we pray for those who are going through grief and loss.
Steve prays for the vulnerable.
Psalm 46 reminds us, God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
We pray for people who are vulnerable that they would find protection and shelter and be helped by others.
Steve prays for families.
The physical family is the most important building block to human society, and as such, it should be nurtured, prayed for and protected. We pray thanking God for families and for good healthy family relationships and leadership.
Steve prays for children.
Children are a gift from God and are to be nurtured and cherished. Children are also subject to the forces and influences in the world and they need protection and strong leadership.
We pray for God’s help as parents and community help raise children and be examples to them.
Steve prays for the advancement of the Gospel.
It's a constant desire and burden for a true Christian to tell others of the glorious Gospel that Jesus Christ is not dead; He is alive and living in our hearts today. The Good News of Jesus is the remedy to the worlds woes and true and lasting satisfaction and peace is only found in Christ.
Joanne prays for our emergency services.
It is easy to take our emergency services, men and women who risk their lives for our safety, for granted. We pray that God would sustain and protect them as we have a greater appreciation for those who serve and protect us.
