A lot of anger and anxiety in this episode as the election approaches. Robert Kraft can’t tell me how to vote. Hollywood has to stop making movies depicting old white men as action stars. In major league baseball this offseason, we have seen a flurry of moves that have defied the trends of the last several years. Specifically, several MLB teams have shown a willingness to spend heavily this offseason on free agents, when in the past they have not. However, the question remains as to whether or not being a high roller on your team payroll equates to wins on the field, in particular wins of the championships type. So the question is, what is the money to win formula that tells teams when to spend big and when to pass? And is this a baseball only question or does it span across sports?
