Family Sound Cinema
Family Sound Cinema was founded in March 2020 as Talk Revival Radio. The show originally combined both news, interviews and comedy from a conservative Christian perspective. The show quickly gained a loyal following across the world, as well as expected opposition. It quickly became apparent that there was great demand for both the teachings and interviews as well as top notch Christian audio adventures. With this in mind we decided to re-launch as Family Sound Cinema, which continues the news and teaching through Talk Revival Radio podcast but incorporates our original series of audio adventures, such as The Man from WOTM. On top of this, Family Sound Cinema incorporates speaking events and concerts with bands such as Transatlantic Uke - all to preach the good news about Jesus Christ.
Patricia Engler of AIG Canada was visiting Great Britain, Ireland and Europe recently, so was a great time to host an in person seminar, on "how to think about "facts" that challenge your faith".

Dr. Guliuzza—known to many ICR staff members as Dr. G—grew up in a close-knit family on an Air Force base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Though military families are known for frequent relocations, his family stayed in Cheyenne throughout his childhood. His mother was a homemaker and dedicated mother to her three children, and his dad was a hardworking Air Force master sergeant.
Higher education has played a significant role in Dr. G’s life. After high school, he moved to South Dakota to study mining engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. but after the second year he and June felt the Lord was leading them into ministry, so they transferred to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Dr. G. said, “What a change that was!...It was really transformational in my life with Moody. I picked up so much education in theology, but mainly I read for the first time the Acts & Facts newsletter, and that changed my life.”
That newsletter later became the creation science magazine ICR publishes today.
Upon completion of his Doctor of Medicine degree, he joined the Air Force and served as 28th Bomb Wing Flight Surgeon and Chief of Aerospace Medicine for about nine years.
Dr. Guliuzza was sent to Iraq several times. During one deployment, he served at an Air Force emergency medical clinic stationed on the airport runway in downtown Baghdad. He treated casualties from the battlefield and stabilized them so they could be transported to the hospital for more critical and long-term care. On another assignment, he assisted with the flight transfer of those patients to the hospital in Germany. Thanks to medical and technological advancements, transport was so rapid that he and his colleagues were able to save many servicemen with injuries that would have guaranteed their deaths in previous wars.
Dr. G has spent most of the last 12 years as ICR’s National Representative, writing for ICR publications, contributing to ICR video projects, and developing a theory of biological design to explain how creatures rapidly adapt to changing environments. Part of the groundbreaking nature of the theory is that he’s conducting the research from a biblical perspective rather than an evolutionary one and viewing biological systems with an engineer’s eye rather than the expectation that organisms developed their traits through trial and error. His unique combination of education and experience has helped him greatly in this endeavor.

Patricia Engler serves as a speaker, writer and youth outreach coordinator for Answers in Genesis (AiG) Canada. Her passion for biblical apologetics ignited at age 14, when she first heard a seminar by AiG founder Ken Ham.
After 12 years of homeschooling, Patricia completed a BSc with distinction at a liberal Canadian university. There, she studied intensely evolutionary courses to learn firsthand how Christian students can navigate secular education without compromising their biblical worldview. Her experiences showed her the importance of Biblical teaching, apologetics and mentors for students, with her own long-time mentor being Dr. Margaret Helder (PhD biology).
To learn from other students’ experiences, Patricia backpacked 360° around the world solo in 180 days, documenting how Christian students in multiple countries kept their faith during university. Now, she is excited to equip youth across Canada with the message of biblical authority that AiG proclaims. Using AiG resources, the tools she developed, and insights from students she met worldwide, she provides invaluable “real world” training to Christian youth and young adults in how to navigate secular education. In her spare time, Patricia can often be found adventuring outdoors, exploring back roads, or playing ukulele.
Patricia is a passionate and engaging communicator who speaks to a variety of audiences. She is available for speaking at children’s/family, youth, young adult, and women’s events/conferences. We are continuing our third out of four Answers in Genesis interviews. This week we welcome Calvin Smith of AIG-CA.
Calvin has spoken at churches across Canada (and sometimes internationally) on creation apologetics since 2001. He is well known for his ability to engage audiences of all ages and being able to communicate theological concepts and scientific information in an easy-to-understand manner.
Calvin was formerly on the pastoral staff of a church in Guelph, Ontario, overseeing the youth and small group ministries. Through working with young people, both inside the church and with a small group at the University of Guelph, Calvin personally witnessed the devastation brought to our youth by the teaching of evolutionary rationalism. But he also saw the life-transforming effect of biblical answers that encourage people to know that God’s Word can be trusted from the very first verse.
He is now the executive director and speaker for Answers in Genesis–Canada, and is excited about bringing the ministry of Answers in Genesis to Canada.
Calvin lives with his wife in Ingersoll, Ontario. His hobbies include music and wrestling.

In September 2015, AiG employed Simon to be the executive director and primary speaker for the UK ministry based in Leicester. Simon is excited about the opportunity that the Lord has opened for him with AiG UK in spreading the importance of creation apologetics, biblical authority, and the gospel.
Simon is married to Jessica and has seven children. He holds a BA and MA in theology. Simon has written several articles for AiG’s Answers Research Journal, some of which include “Review of John Lennox’s Book Seven Days That Divide the World,” “Did Death of Any Kind Exist Before the Fall?,” and “Jesus, Scripture and Error: An Implication of Theistic Evolution.”

Our guest for this episode is Joe Karabensh, President of MFI.
In 1996, Joe began work as a missionary pilot and mechanic with Missionary Flights International (MFI). After a short time, in addition to flying, Joe was asked to temporarily work as the warehouse manager until the position could be filled. In 1998 Joe then transitioned from the warehouse to the office where he became the Executive Assistant to MFI’s President Dick Snook. In 2001 when MFI had to move the office and warehouse six miles south of the airport, Joe took on more responsibility and was named MFI’s Executive V.P. Over the next decade or so Joe worked closely with Dick as MFI moved from West Palm Beach to Fort Pierce where God provided a facility beyond anything “asked for or imagined.” Joe also worked together with Dick and others at MFI as it became apparent that the complete transition from piston engine DC-3s to turbine engine DC-3s was necessary for MFI to be efficient and economical.
In January 1, 2015, after over 18 years at MFI, Joe assumed the role of president.

Kyle Justice is the Emmy nominated producer of many creation science DVDs and programs. He is the father of eight children, the oldest being Noah Justice. Kyle has been married for over twenty-seven years to Dawn Justice. Kyle and Dawn homeschool, incorporating most of the kids into the travel, shooting, and marketing of their DVD titles. As they travel in their 36' motorhome, the kids learn about production, photography, science, geography, public speaking, and public relations. Through the 1990s Kyle worked for Moody Bible Institute, The Family Channel, and Regent University. In 1997, together with the newly formed Answers in Genesis ministry, Kyle produced his first creation science DVD project,The X-Nilo Show. In 1999 Kyle became an independent television producer, creating content for major networks such as ESPN, National Geographic, the Outdoor Channel, Fox Sports, and Comcast SportsNet. Kyle continued producing creation science programming by developing The Creation Network a weekly program airing nationally on Sky Angel during 2000-2001.

Todd is an Ordained Minister and a Pastor. Dr. Jake Hebert earned a master's degree in physics in 1999 from Texas A&M University and a Ph.D. in physics in 2011 from the University of Texas at Dallas, where he did cutting-edge research on the connection between cosmic rays, solar activity, and weather and climate. He has taught at both the high school and university levels. He joined ICR in 2011 as a research associate and is currently researching the post-Flood Ice Age, the dating methods used to assign ages to the seafloor sediments and deep ice cores and cosmology, among other research endeavors. He is the author of The Ice Age and the Flood: Does Science Really Show Millions of Years? and The Climate Change Conflict: Keeping Cool over Global Warming. In this episode we interview Dr. Brian Thomas. Dr. Thomas received a master’s in biotechnology in 1999 from Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas, and a Ph.D. in paleobiochemistry in 2019 from the University of Liverpool. He taught junior high and high school at Christian schools in Texas, as well as biology, chemistry, and anatomy as an adjunct and assistant professor at Dallas-area universities. In 2008 Dr. Thomas joined the Institute for Creation Research as a science writer and editor, contributing news and magazine articles, speaking on creation issues, and researching original tissue fossils. He was appointed as Research Associate in 2019. Calvin has spoken at churches across Canada (and sometimes internationally) on creation apologetics since 2001. He is well known for his ability to engage audiences of all ages and being able to communicate theological concepts and scientific information in an easy-to-understand manner.
Calvin was formerly on the pastoral staff of a church in Guelph, Ontario, overseeing the youth and small group ministries. Through working with young people, both inside the church and with a small group at the University of Guelph, Calvin personally witnessed the devastation brought to our youth by the teaching of evolutionary rationalism. But he also saw the life-transforming effect of biblical answers that encourage people to know that God’s Word can be trusted from the very first verse.
He is now the executive director and speaker for Answers in Genesis–Canada, and is excited about bringing the ministry of Answers in Genesis to Canada.

In our first show, after a short break, we are continuing our second out of four Answers in Genesis interviews. This week we welcome Simon Turpin of AIG-UK.
In September 2015, AiG employed Simon to be the executive director and primary speaker for the UK ministry based in Leicester. Simon is excited about the opportunity that the Lord has opened for him with AiG UK in spreading the importance of creation apologetics, biblical authority, and the gospel.
Simon is married to Jessica and has seven children. He holds a BA and MA in theology. Simon has written several articles for AiG’s Answers Research Journal, some of which include “Review of John Lennox’s Book Seven Days That Divide the World,” “Did Death of Any Kind Exist Before the Fall?,” and “Jesus, Scripture and Error: An Implication of Theistic Evolution.”

We also welcome back to the show for the third time our regular guest, Patricia Engler of Answers in Genesis Canada. This episode we find out a bit more about what Patricia and Answers in Genesis Canada have been up to recently and how students and adults alike can be equipped to defend their faith more effectively through some great resources available.
For those that missed previous episode's
After 12 years of homeschooling, Patricia completed a BSc with distinction at a liberal Canadian university. There, she studied intensely evolutionary courses to learn firsthand how Christian students can navigate secular education without compromising their biblical worldview. Her experiences showed her the importance of Biblical teaching, apologetics and mentors for students, with her own long-time mentor being Dr. Margaret Helder (PhD biology).
To learn from other students’ experiences, Patricia backpacked 360° around the world solo in 180 days, documenting how Christian students in multiple countries kept their faith during university. Now, she is excited to equip youth across Canada with the message of biblical authority that AiG proclaims. Using AiG resources, the tools she developed, and insights from students she met worldwide, she provides invaluable “real world” training to Christian youth and young adults in how to navigate secular education. In her spare time, Patricia can often be found adventuring outdoors, exploring back roads, or playing ukulele.

Instead of the normal comedy section this episode we feature a dramatic audio based on the real life happenings on how communism infiltrated the western world and afterwards we discuss, "is what we are seeing happening politically today, coincidence, or part of a long term socialist plan?"

Brian Moonan holds degrees from both Munson Williams Proctor Institute of Fine Art and Syracuse University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts, where he studied color theory, graphic design and video production. He is a veteran Media producer with over 25 years experience working in local TV, Advertising, Independent Film and Music Production.
Saved by God’s grace in 2004, he began studying the Bible. In 2013 Brian was called and allowed by God’s grace to start online “watchman” ministry called Turn From Your Idols. Moonan has produced nearly one hundred Christian videos and has over two Million video views to date, and distributed Hundreds of thousands of gospel tracts world wide, all glory to God. A robot to teach Sunday School? Good idea or bad idea?
Our guest for this episode is Joe Karabensh, President of MFI
In 1996, Joe began work as a missionary pilot and mechanic with Missionary Flights International (MFI). After a short time, in addition to flying, Joe was asked to temporarily work as the warehouse manager until the position could be filled. In 1998 Joe then transitioned from the warehouse to the office where he became the Executive Assistant to MFI’s President Dick Snook. In 2001 when MFI had to move the office and warehouse six miles south of the airport, Joe took on more responsibility and was named MFI’s Executive V.P. Over the next decade or so Joe worked closely with Dick as MFI moved from West Palm Beach to Fort Pierce where God provided a facility beyond anything “asked for or imagined.” Joe also worked together with Dick and others at MFI as it became apparent that the complete transition from piston engine DC-3s to turbine engine DC-3s was necessary for MFI to be efficient and economical.
In January 1, 2015, after over 18 years at MFI, Joe assumed the role of president.

Kyle Justice is the Emmy nominated producer of many creation science DVDs and programs. He is the father of eight children, the oldest being Noah Justice. Kyle has been married for over twenty-seven years to Dawn Justice. Kyle and Dawn homeschool, incorporating most of the kids into the travel, shooting, and marketing of their DVD titles. As they travel in their 36' motorhome, the kids learn about production, photography, science, geography, public speaking, and public relations. Their brand of creation videos is under the label of Awesome Science Media.
Many of their video titles are used for science education in the church, Christian schools, and home school programs.
Through the 1990s Kyle worked for Moody Bible Institute, The Family Channel, and Regent University. In 1997, together with the newly formed Answers in Genesis ministry, Kyle produced his first creation science DVD project,The X-Nilo Show. In 1999 Kyle became an independent television producer, creating content for major networks such as ESPN, National Geographic, the Outdoor Channel, Fox Sports, and Comcast SportsNet. Kyle continued producing creation science programming by developing The Creation Network a weekly program airing nationally on Sky Angel during 2000-2001.

Don Beldin was just one man flying a small single-engine airplane in the 1960s for Youth for Christ evangelism in the Bahamas. Responding to need, Don began transporting other missionaries and equipment in his plane. In 1964, the Lord guided Don to incorporate Missionary Flights International (MFI) to meet the growing needs of Bible-centered missions. The need for air service increased, so MFI acquired larger planes and added new countries.
After 42 years in West Palm Beach, MFI moved to Fort Pierce, FL in 2006. Today, MFI operates out of two hangars flying turbine-powered DC-3s to meet the needs of over 450 missions in the Bahamas, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and wherever the Lord directs. About 300 tons of cargo and 4,000 Christian workers are transported every year.

He has taught at both the high school and university levels. He joined ICR in 2011 as a research associate and is currently researching the post-Flood Ice Age, the dating methods used to assign ages to the seafloor sediments and deep ice cores and cosmology, among other research endeavors. He is the author of The Ice Age and the Flood: Does Science Really Show Millions of Years? and The Climate Change Conflict: Keeping Cool over Global Warming. He is also a contributor to Guide to Creation Basics, Creation Basics & Beyond, and Guide to the Universe.

Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas, and a Ph.D. in paleobiochemistry in 2019 from the University of Liverpool. He taught junior high and high school at Christian schools in Texas, as well as biology, chemistry, and anatomy as an adjunct and assistant professor at Dallas-area universities. In 2008 Dr. Thomas joined the Institute for Creation Research as a science writer and editor, contributing news and magazine articles, speaking on creation issues, and researching original tissue fossils. He was appointed as Research Associate in 2019. He is the author of Dinosaurs and the Bible and a contributor to Guide to Creation Basics, Creation Basics & Beyond, Guide to Dinosaurs, Guide to the Human Body, Guide to the Universe, and Dinosaurs: God’s Mysterious Creatures. Benjamin John is currently the Development Officer for the Wilberforce Academy a branch of Christian Concern. Christian Concern help Equip you to be an effective ambassador for Jesus Christ in today’s culture. They are passionate about bringing the love, justice, truth, freedom and hope of Jesus Christ to the heart of society and are building a movement of Christians who share that passion. Brian Thomas received a master’s in biotechnology in 1999 from Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas, and a Ph.D. in paleobiochemistry in 2019 from the University of Liverpool. He taught junior high and high school at Christian schools in Texas, as well as biology, chemistry, and anatomy as an adjunct and assistant professor at Dallas-area universities. In 2008 Dr. Thomas joined the Institute for Creation Research as a science writer and editor, contributing news and magazine articles, speaking on creation issues, and researching original tissue fossils. He was appointed as Research Associate in 2019. He is the author of Dinosaurs and the Bible and a contributor to Guide to Creation Basics, Creation Basics & Beyond, Guide to Dinosaurs, Guide to the Human Body, Guide to the Universe, and Dinosaurs: God’s Mysterious Creatures. His dissertation, Ancient and Fossil Bone Collagen Remnants, is available in book form.

3 cups milk of choice
4 tbsp cocoa or cacao powder
4 tsp maple syrup or honey
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 tsp turmeric powder
pinch of black pepper
pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
Whisk all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Keep whisking for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat, serve & enjoy

David Daniels, B.A., M.Div., is trained in Bible and linguistics. After twenty years of searching the Hebrew and Greek scriptures and studying the history of the Bible, he concluded that the King James Bible is God's preserved words in English. Once he understood that the King James Bible is the words of God in English, David Daniels became a careful literalist who believes his Bible without reservation.
David works for Chick Publications which was founded by the late Jack Chick (1924-2016).
Fresh out of the U.S. Army in 1948, this young, chain-smoking, hard-swearing cartoonist became a Christian after hearing a Gospel radio message on his honeymoon. Now, he wanted to tell the world about it.
He felt convicted when he saw a group of teens hanging out on a curb. Heavily burdened, he stopped the car. What he wanted to tell them started rolling through his head and in just a few minutes he sat and wrote his first soul-winning tract, A Demon's Nightmare. There, the VISION for Chick Publications was born.
Chick Publications has received testimonies from all over the world. Suicides were stopped in time. Rebel fathers returned to their families. The aimless became dedicated pastors. Bitter, angry prisoners were broken by love. The list is endless.
