A veteran of the Falklands war, Edward Denmark is currently seeking justice for many of the Argentinian soldiers he faced during the conflict.
Currently, the Argentinian government does not recognise several thousand soldiers who were stationed on the mainland at the time, and as result, they do not receive many of the benefits that come with that.
Facing a terminal illness, Edward has vowed to get his former adversaries recognised by their government, and with the aid of Justin Hopper and former Argentinian soldier Julio Herrera Vidal, is hoping to raise awareness of the issue both nationally and internationally.

Footballing legend David Dein's plan to use football to help rehabilitate offenders has passed its launch target with 32 Premier League and English Football League clubs signing up to be twinned with their local prisons.
Both Liverpool and Everton were among the first wave of clubs to sign up to the scheme, and Ant Harden from Everton in the Community joined Mick Coyle to discuss the club's participation in the project, as well as their Safe Hands program which works with young offenders.

Head of Welfare for City of Liverpool FC, Mike Caulfied, was alongside Owen Cotterell from State of Mind sport, to talk about their upcoming mental health event at the Purps home game vs Ashton this weekend.
Chasing the Stigma and State of Mind are the two dedicated charities for the day and will be holding a bucket collection to support both organisations.
The players will wear warm up t-shirts which will carry a positive message "It's OK not to be OK" and they are also planning to hold a balloon release immediately prior to kick off of 50 purple balloons each carrying a card with a positive message and also resources that could be used by anyone who feels that they need support with their mental health.
There will also be a safe space provided for anyone who may want to talk in more depth about their mental health.
Chief Executive of The Women's Organisation, Maggie O'Carroll, was alongside Mick Coyle to talk about the roll out of Universal Credit in Merseyside.
Maggie was involved in a study looking at the impacts of Universal Credit on the region and who it will affect the most.
She also reacted to the question by Frank Field in parliament in regards to women turning to sex work as they can't afford to live.
Bob Eaton, Royal Court favourite and writer & Director of Lennon, has written a brand new musical about one of Liverpool’s most legendary characters.
Maggie May – The Musical is set in Liverpool before the outbreak of the second world war. It tells the story of the girl from the traditional Liverpool folk song about the girl who used her looks and charm to prey on sailors and empty their pockets.
Cheryl Fergison, best known for her role in Eastenders as Heather Trott, is one of its stars, she came in to talk about the production taking place in the Royal Court from 12th October - 10th November.
Mick was joined by the British Legion on Liverpool Live to talk about their play "Unspoken".
The production, presented by "Bravo 22 Company" which is a recovery through the arts programme, is performed by military veterans and is currently touring the UK.
One of the case members, "Griff", told Mick about his time in the military and why he has decided to be involved in the production. He was alongside Bill Martin from the Royal British Legion who also spoke about the importance of projects like this and the upcoming fundraisers they have for the charity.

The team at Teenage Cancer Trust joined Mick Coyle on Liverpool Live to talk about raising awareness of leukaemia after the death of 23 year old Liverpool mum, Kirsten Hawksey.
Kirsten's family have set up "Kirsten's Wish" to tell her story and how to spot the signs of Leukaemia early on and the work Teenage Cancer Trust have done to help Kirsten and her family since her death on Christmas Day 2017.
Kirsten's Auntie, Kellie, and her best friend, Lydia, were alongside Miriam Goodall from Teenage Cancer Trust to talk about the charity and how young people can get involved today.

The family of a Merseyside teenager killed in the Manchester Arena attack have launched a charity in her memory.
15 year old Megan Hurley was among the 22 people who lost their lives in the terror attack last year .
Megan's brother Bradley told our reporter, Adam Phillips, about "The Megan Hurley Foundation" and how it aims to provide support for self employed families who have lost a loved one.
Mick Coyle was joined by Liverpool Mum and campaigner Frances Molloy to give an update on the "Tyred" campaign.
Frances' son Michael was killed in the Bestival coach crash in 2012 and she is now fighting to change the law on tyres older than 10 years being used on commercial vehicles.
She told Mick how she is expecting a meeting with the transport minister on October 18th and what she hopes to achieve in the talks.
Red Box is a scheme to get sanitary products to girls that need them for NO cost.
They operate across different parts of the country, and have branches across the North West including Prescot and Whiston.
Karl Duvall and his wife are volunteers for Red Box, and take products into schools so that girls don’t have to miss classes because of so-called “period poverty”.
He joined Mick Coyle to talk about the work they do, and the impact it makes.
One school even reported a 2% increase in attendance based purely on access to sanitary wear.

Liverpool Live regular and local fundraiser, George McKane, told Mick Coyle about his battle with prostate cancer and his upcoming heart operation.
George wants to raise awareness of men's health and encourage other men to regularly check on their health.

The government have been accused of not stepping in to save the hospital which has stalled due to the collapse of construction company Carillion.
The Shadow Health Secretary told Mick it was an "absolute shambles".

Liverpool legend Crissy Rock joined Mick Coyle to talk about her new book "Scouse, Choppers & Space Hoppers"
The book is described as a "childhood and youth-hood nostalgia memoir recalling Liverpool in the 1960s and 70s" and looks at all different aspects of family life, Beatle mania and much more.
Crissy's book is being launched at a lunch on the 28th September for Cash For Kids.
At the moment, Claire House isn’t reaching all the children it needs to across the North West, which is why they are building a second Hospice in Liverpool.

The #KnivesDownBikesUp movement was started by Blaen Roberts, 21 from Kirkby, who created an Instagram page to arrange "rideouts" with youths to help prevent knife crime
The group ride their bikes from the city centre every Sunday to places like Crosby, Freshfields, Southport etc. and can have numbers up to 130 riders from around the city and also the country.
Blaen told Mick Coyle how he hopes it keeps young people off the streets by getting out on their bikes on a weekly basis and how he educates the teens about the dangers of gang and knife crime.
The Owen McVeigh Foundation is hosting a family fun day at David Lloyd Knowsley this Saturday.
The day features a host of activities for people young and old, and there’s even a live performance from Jamie Webster.
It gets underway from 10.30am – and tickets cost a fiver for adults, £2.50 for kids.
The Foundation was set up in Owen’s name after he lost his battle with leukaemia.

Organised by the James Bulger Memorial Trust (JBMT) the annual festival honours the life of toddler James Bulger.
James' mum Denise Fergus was alongside her husband Stuart to talk about the fun day event which takes place each year and the work the charity is doing to fund and organise holidays and respite breaks for deserving children and their families.
According to Merseyside-based charity Autism Together, autism community heroes take many forms.
A hero may have helped out in an emergency or stepped in when no-one else was prepared to, to help a family in distress. A hero may be a kind shopkeeper, a patient bus driver or a friendly swimming instructor.
A hero may have made a point of getting to know someone on the autism spectrum and become a friend. Their friendship may mean the world to that person.
Autism Together is calling for members of the public to nominate community heroes for its Autism Gold awards.
The Awards are part of the charity’s golden anniversary celebrations and winners will be announced at a gala ball at the Shankly hotel in Liverpool in November.
Everton Football Club and its official charity, Everton in the Community, have launched a new mental health focused campaign to raise funds to build a permanent facility – called ‘The People’s Place’ - in conjunction with local charity Chasing the Stigma.
The ‘People’s Place’ campaign has the backing and support of Everton CEO Professor Denise Barrett-Baxendale, first team manager Marco Silva and support from the first team squad .
Jake Mills, founder of Chasing the Stigma, and Michael Salla, Director of Health and sport at Everton in the Community, joined Mick to talk about the ground-breaking project.

Caroline was the first officer to transition gender in the British Armed Forces (1999). She had already served 19 years in the RAF, on fighter aircraft and battlefield helicopters, and following her transition, completed a further 16 years.
She is now a patron of this year's festival and she told Alex her incredible story.

Thousands of people have signed a petition hitting out at plans to BAN dogs from some areas of the Wirral.
The Council is proposing stricter rules on where dog walkers can go to make places cleaner and safer .
It could lead to people being fined for taking their pets to places like sports pitches and parts of the beaches
Wirral Council say there will still be “over 20 miles of unrestricted beach” for letting dogs off the lead all year round, and outside of the warmer season, dogs would be able to go anywhere on the bathing beaches.
A consultation on the new so called Public Space Protection order is underway - until the middle of July.

Kenny Saunders has been campaigning for grass roots football for 40 years and he told Mick Coyle how he feels he may have to walk away if new fees are implemented for junior football teams.
Kenny believes that the council and Premier League teams need to do more to help local children who play football and that there should be a levy imposed on Premier League teams to go towards grass roots football.

Rob’s campaign for better symptom awareness has been prompted by losing his wife Alison to the disease in March 2018, aged 54, and just a few months after she was diagnosed.
He is also embarking on a week’s worth of information and fundraising events starting 18 June at The Oak Bar & Bistro in Greasby in Alison’s memory, to raise awareness among the community that both he and Alison have spent their lives serving, and to raise money for more research into the disease.

Manchester Arena attack survivor, Andy, joined Mick Coyle ahead of the one year anniversary on May 22nd.
Andy was injured in the blast waiting for his family and he told Mick how the emotion is still very raw and how he has dealt with the attack terms of counselling for his mental health.
He has arranged a trek for 30 fellow survivors up Snowdon on the day of the anniversary as his own tribute to the victims.

7th June 2018 will mark 50 years since women sewing machinists at Ford’s plant in Dagenham walked out in a row over equal pay.
However, the role of ladies working at Ford’s plant in Halewood, who downed tools in solidarity with their southern colleagues, is a part of the story that has largely been forgotten.
Metro Mayor, Steve Rotheram, is trying to track down some of the women who were involved in the walk out at Halewood, and invite them to a commemoration event that is being organised in conjunction with Dagenham Council.

Local mum, Kate Toohey, is urging the NHS to fund a drug which she believes could help her 6 year old son, James, to lead a normal life after he was diagnosed with the extremely rare 'batten disease'.
The condition can lead to dementia and also stop the body from working.
She told Mick Coyle how James was lucky enough to go on a medical trial for a drug that can slow down the progression of the disease and even stabilise it.

One of Barry Bennell's victims, Steven Walters, spoke to Radio City Talk's Adam Phillips outside Liverpool Crown Court following the former football coach's sentencing for 50 child sexual offences.
Bennell was sentenced to 31 years in jail and Steven Walters told our reporter of his relief and how he wants to encourage others to come forward now that he is behind bars.
Mick Coyle brought you all of the latest updates from Liverpool Crown Court where former youth football coach Barry Bennell was found guilty of 43 counts of child sex abuse.
The 64-year-old denied all of the offences which took place from the late seventies into the nineties. But his trial heard he was a child molester 'on an industrial scale'.

Christopher was only four doors away from the explosion and he told Mick it was "the most frightening experience of his life".

YPAS have seen their funding cut by 43% - last year they say they helped over 2 thousand children and hundreds of families.
Charity CEO Monique Collier told our reporter Adam Phillips that it's a desperate situation.
We contacted Liverpool CCG for a statement:
"NHS budgets are under increasing pressure both locally and nationally, with demand for health services continuing to grow.
NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group needs to make significant savings to its budget over the next two years, which unfortunately means that we cannot continue to fund all of the services we have in the past.
Around 90% of our budget has to be spent on the provision of core NHS services, including GP services, hospitals, community health and mental health, so we have to find savings in other areas.
After a review of other spending, we have made the very difficult decision not to renew or to reduce funding for a number of different services provided by voluntary and community organisations, which includes YPAS.
These decisions have not been taken lightly - we fully recognise the valuable role that the voluntary and community sector, including YPAS, plays in supporting the health and wellbeing of local young people."

Liverpool Live reporter Adam Phillips joined Mick Coyle live from Angela Eagle's Wallasey office where Merseyside Police are investigating criminal damage after a brick was reportedly thrown through a front window.
The incident follows the formal announcement on Monday by Angela Eagle that she is challenging Jeremy Corbyn for the Labour leadership. She may face moves by local party members to de-select her after the Wallasey Constituency Labour Party (CLP) had urged her to support Mr Corbyn.

Joe was only 5 at the time and was spotted on a man's shoulders on the pitch. He desperately wants to find him to thank him for saving his life.
