As someone who loves fashion, but also the environment, the two can contradict each other quite a bit. Fast fashion is destroying the environment and I would love for the school to implement not just a fashion class on how to style oneself, but also how people can do it in a more sustainable manner.

Hello, I’m 17 year old Owen from Earth and have you woken up feigning to cut your own hair? Oh boy I know I sure have. Today, I’m proposing a course I like to call cutting on command. CoC as other faculty refer to it, will give students the ability to cut their hair whenever necessary throughout their lives. Personally, I see this as an invaluable skill due to health as well as teaching students how paying something small adds up over time. My passion for hair cutting started a few years ago when my pop’s explained to me how it changed his life knowing this skill due to unique interactions with people, bridging any differences in culture. Being able to cut it up has the reciprocal function of allowing students to possibly make money in the likely situation they need a job in the future. This one semester course will meet every other day to walk students through the process starting with cleaning wigs hair and cutting it to specific lengths and styles, moving on to their piers as the course comes to an end. By the time people will be applying for a job, years of experience will be under their belt. Money will be saved by not cutting hair and health effects will accompany such a skill due to the positive health effects proposed by trimming (StyleCaster) and the confidence received by getting a fresh fade. Melvin, a perfect example of haircut failures, is merritt to prove the myriad of positives due to being able to fix his brothers “expertise.” The simple supplies required to teach this skill and the increasing confidence as time passes, prove how useful this skill will become both mentally, financially and when you have to say an interesting fact in the name game.(Cosmo)

My proposal is for a ‘study hall’ class that focuses specifically on the college application process. In this class, students are kept on track to complete their applications by each school’s due date. Teachers can assist students on how to fill out the common application or can help edit their essays.
