Why honor just our birth mother? In the Q'ero tradition, it is said that our physical parents are merely genetic contributors for the physical body and that our spiritual mother is the feminine spirit of our place of emergence.
The only thing that is real is the navel and the rest of us is woven into the illusion. After birth, they typically perform a ceremony to do a soul retrieval for the trauma of birth and being cut from the mother.
