The Lion King is the 2019 remake of the original 1994 animated classic. It is the story of young Simba, son of King Mufasa, who is betrayed by his uncle Scar, denied his father’s throne, and exiled. He must then choose whether to remain in his banished state or to take back what is rightfully his. This film is the latest in a string of Disney live action remakes of their animated predecessors.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is the sequel to 2014’s Godzilla reboot. Members of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. The Joker Review is an origin story about the making of the most iconic villain in DC Comics and perhaps one of the most intriguing villains in all of fiction literature. This movie does a deep dive into the early childhood experiences and the series of events that contribute to the development of Arthur Fleck, as The Joker. This movie strays from its comic book roots in ways that makes sense and increases the tragedy of the character.
