On the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was made available to the Gentiles and about 3,000 souls were sanctified. Brother Harry preaches in Campmeeting 1986 that just like those souls, the true Jews are now those that have received the gift of the Holy Spirit and have been sanctified. The true Jew is now inwardly, with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Even though Bro. Harry Collins, Sr. preached with great effect throughout his life, only a few of this brother’s sermons were recorded and preserved for our benefit. Please take advantage of this opportunity to hear this voice of the past (1952) from a man that was widely respected in his generation as a preacher and a man of God. In “Have you ever read about Elijah?” he preaches that it is absolutely necessary that we be holy sanctified and that this be a holy church without spot and without wrinkle. He concludes with Balaam’s blessing from Numbers 24. The full meeting includes testimonies from Bro. Levy Hagan, Bro. Shuford Price, and Bro. Billy Gray.

Bro. Ed Miller was sanctified and joined Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church in Palatka, Florida in 1899. He, along with his brothers, Frank and John, left home and traveled the breadth of the United States preaching the gospel of entire Sanctification. At the 1952 Camp Meeting, in his waning years, Bro. Ed was selected to preach; “I’m Jealous over you with a Godly Jealousy” would be his last public recorded sermon. Along with experiencing a taste of CSHC history, you will be encouraged, challenged, and inspired as Bro. Ed Miller gives one last exhortation to the church he loves, leaving his hearers something of his passion for preaching the gospel as he reflects on scripture, history, and “practical religion”.

Bro. Jeff Price opens this sermon reading from Hebrews 12, “Looking unto Jesus.” He moves to Philippians 2 and reads about Jesus “humbling himself.” To leave heaven and be confined in the flesh of a man would have been a tremendous humiliation in and of itself, but this man of Galilee, the “Son of Man,” was born of a virgin, laid in a manger, grew up in Nazareth with a family of low estate, and became the “man of sorrows, acquainted with grief.” Bro. Jeff takes us on to see other manifestations of Jesus Christ; a vision of judgment with the Son of God in the midst of the candlesticks, showing the wrath of the Lamb, an awesome display of his power and righteousness, and the picture of Christ as the cleansing fountain for the “healing of the nations.” Listen and be encouraged, and join us in “looking unto Jesus”.

In Camp Meeting 1993 Bro. Thomas Mustin declares himself a product of Sis. Fannie Rodgers preaching, potentially from the back of a wagon, in 1914 in Montgomery, Alabama. About 35 years after this young lady’s preaching, Bro. Thomas’ father was sanctified, and then about 20 years later Bro. Thomas made his consecration. He uses Hebrews 11 to highlight God’s plan to redeem mankind. Referencing Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Moses, the Passover, deliverance from Egypt, Caleb and Joshua, the walls of Jericho, Rahab, and Daniel and finally the birth of Jesus, he makes the case that God can deliver from sin in every circumstance of life.

At the 1975 Camp Meeting, Bro. Horace Curry Sr. preached a sermon on the road of holiness vs. the road of sin and gave a tremendous call to sinners to make a start for God before it was too late. On a personal note, my parents have often told me of what a loving, caring soul Bro Horace was, and that he visited their apartment just after I was born and prayed a “beautiful prayer” over me. He died not long after. I often wonder what he prayed for that day and have often desired that I could have known him. Recordings like these help me to feel connected to old saints like Bro Horace to whom we owe so much. I hope you enjoy this recording as much as I have.

After the miracles of the loaves and fishes, Jesus said “Labor not for the meat that perisheth”. As they were seeking food, we can also seek to serve God for the benefits and blessings, rather than being motivated by sincere love, sacrifice, true commitment, and service from the heart. Without His drawing and the true love of God, would-be Christians will disperse as the crowds did when the loaves and fishes ended. When the crowd left, it didn’t seem to bother Jesus; he understood their heart. The question Jesus asked his disciples still applies today; “Will you also go away?”

‘Uncle’ Joseph powerfully applies the scripture “I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;” from Deuteronomy chapter thirty. In this text he makes it plain that we all have a choice to serve God or not, and that the consequences of that choice rests on each one of us.

"There are two works in the plan of salvation, and I can prove it by the scriptures," Bro Ed Merritt says as he begins his sermon, and then it is off to the races through the Old and New Testament. Along the way, he discusses the role of conversion, the necessity of sanctification, and how the resurrection relates to our spiritual life. At the 1959 Campmeeting, Bro. Charles Riggs begins his sermon by asking his wife, Sis. Lottie, to join him in the pulpit. Together they read and expound on the true House of God, punctuated by three songs and lively exhortation.
I marvel at the freedom these brothers and sisters display in their worship. This recording is a glimpse into Christ's Sanctified Holy Church as it continued to transition from a travelling group to what we know today. God has been good to us, or, as Bro Charles Riggs said, "God has always taken good care of Little Charlie."

On Sunday night of Camp Meeting 1960, Bro. B.A. Hobby began his sermon "Don't Pamper The Old Man" reading from Ephesians 4 which states "That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."
Bro. B.A. goes on to enumerate the ways the old man, which is the sin nature, holds back the sinner and trips-up the converted man or woman.
He concludes by emphasizing the biblical truth that the old man must be destroyed and we must put on the new man (new nature) through sanctification (the second work of grace) to make it to heaven.

I was in attendance when “Esther” was preached; I was 11 years old in 1992, and quite honestly my only remembrance of it was that it was "that time that Uncle Bernard preached for a whole hour and covered the entire book of Esther!" Twenty-six years later I have revisited this sermon, and it is deep and rich, simple and also complex, easy to understand and digest yet detailed and spiritual. In Camp Meeting 2012 Bro. Jeff Price shared “Absalom – Our Righteous God has no Pleasure in a Sinner’s Death” He uses Absalom’s rebellion against his father, King David, (2 Samuel 15 to 19) as an allegory of our lost spiritual state. Just as David loved Absalom and mourned his death, in spite of his uprising, God loves man, even in sin and rebellion, and desires our deliverance. Though a just and righteous God must absolutely punish sin, rebellion and unrighteousness, He says “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked… for why will ye die, O house of Israel?” (Ezekiel 33:11). The penalty for our sin and transgressions is provided in deliverance with Christ’s sacrifice to forgive sin and provide the earnest of His spirit in our hearts!!

About 35 years after this young lady’s preaching, Bro. Thomas’ father was sanctified, and then about 20 years later, Bro. Thomas made his consecration. He uses Hebrews 11 to highlight God’s plan to redeem mankind. Referencing Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Moses, the Passover, deliverance from Egypt, Caleb and Joshua, the walls of Jericho, Rahab, Daniel and finally the birth of Jesus, he makes the case that God can deliver from sin in every circumstance of life. Sis. Jessie Sullivan in Camp Meeting 1970 preached “A Spirit of Intercession” just 2 months after her husband, Bro. Elliott Sullivan passed away. She exhorts that the Lord is moved by the prayers of the faithful as she reads from Genesis 18:17-19. Sis. Bro. Jeff in the 2006 Atlanta feast meeting evaluates the popular quote "I like your Christ; I do not like your Christians". Perhaps this bumper sticker slogan has more merit than we like to admit as Jesus' teaching is so contrary to the natural man. Jesus' mission was to glorify His Father and He taught faithfully regardless to whether the audience was a one-on-one with the woman at the well or the crowds that followed Him into the wilderness. Saturday evening of Columbia’s 2016 Mother’s Day meeting Sis. Joanna Basham delivered “The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto….”. From Matthew 13 she reads the parable of the sower explaining that our inheritance is among them that are sanctified while the deceitfulness of riches will choke the Word out. She moves on the parable of the tares to prove we have to be willing to do whatever it takes to make it to heaven!! Our spiritual heroes have been our example in holding up the Word of God and He has blessed them!

Bro Harry Collins Jr preached a mighty sermon in 1975 on the ‘Harvest of the Lord’. Ranging from the minor prophets (Bro. Harry says he doesn't think them to be so minor) through the Gospels and deep into Revelation, Bro. Harry convincingly connects the prophecies of the end of the world to it's fulfillment in Christ. This is strong doctrinal meat from a strong preacher - may it feed your soul as it did mine.

In 1903 in Lake Charles, LA, Bro. Rudolph Esclavon heard the sanctified people preaching on the street corner. Out of curiosity he stopped to hear what they had to say. He realized his lost condition when they preached that without holiness, “no man shall see the Lord”. He then gave his all to Jesus and enlisted in the fight.
