Burning Edge
A bit of downtime between runs as Catherine and Deuce get settled into their new suburban life. Their house is slowly starting to feel like a home, and if they ever get to retire from shadowrunning, might be a place they can see themselves living into old age. Sure, it’s missing the white picket fence and the swing set out back, but it’s homey and has a shooting range in the basement. What else can you really ask for?

The team managed to pull off a few successful runs along with all of the carnage of their less-successful jobs. With those successes they’ve built up some breathing room and started to look at more permanent places to stay. Since Catherine and Deuce wouldn’t let Jean-Baptiste stay with them, he sets out to find a place to call his own. I think we all can guess his idea of the perfect bachelor pad doesn’t involve flowers and a white picket fence out front…

Weil die letzte Folge so dezent verspätet kam, haben wir beschlossen relativ schnell unsere erste Special Folge zu veröffentlichen. Wir haben uns mit Sascha Morlok zusammengesetzt und uns über die Arbeit als Freelancer, das Schreiben für Shadowrun und den Datapuls ADL unterhalten. Zwischendurch schweifen wir gesprächsflußbedingt ein paar mal zu anderen Themen ab, kommen aber meistens wieder zum Punkt. Wir möchten uns für die leicht fragwürdige Audioqualität entschuldigen. Wow, diese Folge bricht alle Verspätungs Rekorde bisher. Aber sie ist draussen. Wir geben uns Mühe diesen Rekord fürs erste stehen zu lassen und nicht direkt einen neuen aufzustellen.
Man merkt uns in der Folge leider an das wir ein bisschen außer Übung sind, daher sind wir an ein paar Stellen in unseren Notizen verrutscht, und haben außerdem zwei Punkte komplett vergessen. Die ausgelassenen Dinge erkläre ich jetzt hier kurz in Textform.
Zum ersten ist dies Schaden an Fahrzeugen. Wir haben gehört das das bei Riggern durchaus vorkommen kann. Die Zustandsmonitore von normalen Fahrzeugen haben 12 + [Rumpf / 2] (aufgerundet) Kästchen. Bei Drohnen 6 + [Rumpf / 2] (aufgerundet). Fahrzeuge weichen mit Raktion + Intuition [Handling] aus. Wenn sie vom Autopiloten gesteuert werden mit Pilot + Ausweichen [Handling]. Wenn Fahrzeuge getroffen werden widerstehen sie dem Schaden mit Rumpf + Panzerung. Wenn die Erfolge kaufen Regel (Anzahl Würfel / 4) schon mehr Erfolge produziert als Schaden verursacht wird kann man aufs Würfeln auch verzichten. Wenn der modifizierte Schaden unterhalb der modifizierten Panzerung liegt, erleidet das Fahrzeug keinen Schaden.
Außerdem wollten wir ursprünglich noch den Auswurfschock erwähnen, den Rigger erleiden wenn sie aus ihrem Fahrzeug / Konsole ausgeworfen werden. Das ist bei Riggern dasselbe wie bei Deckern die ausgeworfen werden. Sie erleiden 6 geistigen (kaltes Sim) oder 6 körperlichen (heißes Sim) Schaden. Widerstehen dürfen sie mit Willenskraft + Firewall. Dazu erhält man für die nächsten (10 – Willenskraft) Kampfrunden einen Modifikator von -2 auf alle Handlungen. Bei einem Auswurfschock durch Zerstörung der Konsole darf man die Firewall nicht zur Widerstandsprobe heranziehen.

Das mit dem nicht zu spät veröffentlichen haben wir immer noch nicht raus. Aber wir geben die Hoffnung nicht auf das es nochmal eine Folge geben wird die einigermaßen pünktlich erscheint. Diese hier ist es jedenfalls nicht.
Leider hatten wir während der Aufnahme leichte Probleme mit dem Equipment. Dummerweise haben wir das erst später beim Schnitt bemerkt. Wir haben versucht das ganze auszugleichen. Leider hat dies nicht an allen Stellen geklappt.
UPDATE: Zu allen anderen Problemen mit dieser Folge hat unser ftp uns gestern die Folge noch um 6 Minuten gekürzt. Das ist jetzt behoben.

Dezent verspätet veröffentlichen wir dann doch die 6. Folge. Diesmal wieder mit ein paar Anmerkungen.
In den News erwähnen wir das Pegasus am 1.10. Datenpfade und Sperrzone Boston veröffentlicht hat. Das steht so auf deren Webseite. Der Rollenspielhändler unseres Vertrauens hat uns aber darauf hingewiesen das die Bücher noch nicht im Laden angekommen sind.
Außerdem wird an einer Stelle die Verteidigungsmodifikatoren-Tabelle als Verletzungstabelle bezeichnet.
Und zuletzt wird behauptet das Verletzungsmodifikatoren für alle Proben gelten. Natürlich gelten diese nicht für andere Proben die Schadenskästchen wegwürfeln.

Die erste Folge mit dem neuen Equipment ist da. Unsere Einführung zur Matrix.
Und wie zu erwarten, gibt es ein paar Errata.
Im Teil über Hot und Cold Sim hat sich ein plus eingeschlichen. Es muß heißen, das man mit Hot Sim 4W6 Initiativewürfel hat, und mit Cold Sim 3W6.
Des weiteren explodieren Datenbombem nicht mit (Stufe x 2) Schaden, sondern mit (Stufe x W6). Wesentlich ärgerlicher.
Und an einer Stelle waren wir besonders verwirrt. Das entschärfen von Datenbombem läuft auf Software + Intuition. Logik kommt nur beim normalen verwenden der Software Fertigkeit zum tragen.
Wir hoffen das ihr trotzdem viel Spaß an der Folge habt, und kräftig für das nächste Thema abstimmt.
