Today, May 12, 2021, Day 02 of the walk — Sitting at the top of Suga Shrine, looking down at the Ise Kaidō; helicopters, bamboo swishing, finally a train.
May 11, 2021, Day 01 of 30 day walk — rice paddies, a highway in the distance, a woman walking her dog, a short express train.

The plan is to upload fifteens minutes of audio a day. I’m recording using binaural mics, which basically means if you listen to the recordings with headphones on, the spatial sense of what I’m hearing as I record, and what you hear when you listen, should be nearly identical. It’s like virtual reality for your ears.
Somewhere 9:45, recording will happen. I don’t plan on speaking. Or at least not much. The point is simply to record where I am in that very moment. Day after day. For the duration of the walk. It may be extremely boring. But in this case, boring isn’t something I’m shying away from.
I hope you enjoy this audio trip across Japan with me.
