Nick is a close friend. It's been both fun and a real pleasure to have crossed paths with him. From workouts to Bible studies to family gatherings, we've gotten to know each other on a deeper level. The journey he's on is altogether encouraging as well as a reminder to me what it's like to follow Jesus again for the first time. Sat down with Jake Gerst to discuss his time in the military. Jake enlisted in the army over a year ago and I wanted to touch base with how things were going. Glad I did! He recalls his time leading up to the enlistment, what he's experienced thus far, and where he sees himself going. Best yet, is his opportunity to share Jesus with those around him. It's snowing. The roads are bad and my would be guest's car is broken down. So Holly and I took the time to record what we call a snowball session. It's actually just us answering a few questions from a marriage booklet given to us, via Holly's sister. Our personalities, plus this book, brought up more than a few silly situations. We had fun.
