Continuing our work on the #KernerAt50 theme (highlighting the 50th anniversary of the 50th anniversary of the Kerner Commission report on racism and the media), Joe Torres and project partner Manolia Charlotin organized a rousing panel discussion titled “Owning Our Stories” for the 2018 Facing Race conference.
This discussion features perspectives from Free Press Senior Director Joe Torres, Color Of Change Senior Director Brandi Collins-Dexter, and noted author and trauma therapist Resmaa Menakem.

Allies and leaders on the forefront of the fight for affordable phone and broadband access discuss the FCC's proposal to gut Lifeline, a program that has subsidized access for low-income Americans since the Reagan administration.
