It's 1979. The Cold-War is imminent, Dukes of Hazard has just found it's way to television and McDonald's have begun selling 'Happy Meals', but the real news is what's happening in Gumsby. Hapless John Cares has somehow found himself the sole worker of The Gumsby Gazette, the local newspaper, and as his career takes a turn, so does his sanity. Something's going on in Gumsby, and it's going to be front page news.
John tries to covertly capture conversation at Graves Hall and as the pile of questions continues to grow the pile of answers remains incomplete.
