Who gets the Glory?

How do you see God? How does God see us? Both views are often distorted. Yet Jesus comes to us unfiltered. Are we more concerned about how it looks than how it really is? Where do we strive for real acceptance and affirmation from? The more we strive for God’s presence, seek after him, surrender to his ways, the less we need the attention, or even the affirmation of others. Real holiness is found this way.

Is Jesus Iconic?

Introducing holiness to the church by not focusing on external images. The death of Jesus manifested not only God’s love, but His holiness too. The call of the Christian life is that Jesus would be seen through you. It's an all-in life with no half measures. We assume serving God and living life in worship to God, means you won’t enjoy life now. Instead, the Lord’s blessing is you have a right relationship with God showing both his love and holiness.

Who Comes Out On Top?The land of Egypt has tremendous spiritual significance. Israel's redemption is a picture of our deliverance from sin and death, it a represents the nature of the system that all people are slaves to sin and the devil is a much harder taskmaster. God has a way out and a way through, Jesus, the Passover lamb, for example. We must recognise in the ongoing battle, the spiritual realm behind it all. We have three enemies in the spiritual conflict Flesh/ World/ Devil but we can overcome because Jesus died to defeat all three!

Let My People GoEnvironments are built brick by brick. The people of Israel are suffering in Egypt. They cry out to God and he has responded by sending them a deliverer. For us, Jesus has died to set us free. What is Christian freedom? So often, in life and as a Christian we are anything but free. God sets a forerunner for salvation with four covenant promises to his people in Exodus that apply to us today. Freedom is always relative to your environment.

Put Away The Sword
We can feel as Christians as easy targets, there is a sense that the same tolerances and rules don’t apply to us. The world is always going to be the world and we are the church! There will always be Judases, Mobs, and Officials and Jesus sets how to react to each, how not to create echo chambers, and how to ‘put away the sword.’ Can we truly hold to a practice of non violence in the world and be heard? It really is down to what, and whom, you believe you are fighting for.

Fight ClubIn a world of war, aggressive speech and violent reactions, can we as Christians witness to the world, on how to deal with offence and conflict well? Firstly. how do we handle the inevitable conflict amongst one another? Secondly, can we truly hold to a practice of non violence in the world and be heard? We Need To Talk About Fight Club
In Matthew 18 Jesus sets out how we handle conflict when it occurs - but he also underlines the point, if we can be harmony then we can shift the spiritual atmosphere, and bring His presence down to earth. How we handle offence and conflict between us is a key indicator of how mature we are as Christians, and a key element in living in a thriving spiritual atmosphere - and so - we need to talk about fight club.

My Brothers KeeperKatherine talks about whether we are tunnel visioned about ourselves or are we more worried collectively what others think?
Digging deeper into the life of Paul in the book of Philippians and us being brothers & sisters in Christ.
This is Part 4 and the final teaching in our series, Plastic brought to you by Katherine Coulson.

Plastic

A plastic person is materialistic, insincere, cheap, or fake. Someone who looks attractive, yet lacks any sort of depth. We are seeing a mental health decline at the same time as self is being elevated. The world is declaring 'I want to be recognised’, but modern identities take no scrutiny and like plastic they snap under any pressure.

Imitations

We were made to imitate. We will either copy the world around us and become a cheap knock off, or imitate the one who made us and become secure in our identity in Him. Paul calls us to imitate him as he imitates Christ, by allowing Him to transform us from the inside out, and giving us an identity that is secure even through the hardest of challenges.

Is Jesus Lord?
Lord of all, or not at all? Is Jesus Lord of all? If not, He is not Lord at all. This passage in Philippians 2 is one of the earliest Christian hymns and has is a theme of Christ’s Lordship over all. The theology that bursts forth is Jesus Christ is Lord. Not one option amongst all the others, nor is it optional for Christian living. This teaches that Jesus is spoken about in the same way as GOD IS. The only God there is, and the only life to live through him. Therefore, let this song shape your understanding of Jesus as Lord of your life.

God Finishes What He Starts
We work out our identity through the gospel. The gospel is ultimately about salvation but once there, we grow identity in Christ through grace among us. In all this we can be confident that you are not yet the person who God wants you to be. But YET is a very important word. There is a lifelong process. It's HIS work, He's started, (and if you’ll let Him) He'll finish until our personhood is properly formed in the body. It is God's work to shape us and our work to let him do it.

As we look back on the last 50 years, Jonny brings the word on the new start and what's to come in the life of Renewal and beyond.

In Jesus we are rebuilt to build.

Walls are structures within any parts they can be protective or restrictive. The story of Nehemiah is centred around the rebuilding of a broken wall. The theme of this biblical book is about God re-establishing his people both physically and spiritually.

Our lives are like broken down walls before we meet Jesus. He restores and rebuilds us. Once rebuilt we are called to build. Build not a name for ourselves, but to build his kingdom.

Nehemiah could not standby when he sees that things have broken down. Through prayer and planning, he unifies those who are willing to work on God's mission. He has confidence in what God has put into his heart. He merely awaits the people's response. Full of hope they respond: LET US START.

I Wish I Had

Have you ever compared yourself to others or wanted something that someone else has? From an emotional, physical and spiritual perspective.

I’m sure you can relate to this. Katherine digs deeper into how as followers of Jesus, we deal with this.

This is the Part 7, in our final teaching series message for Seven - The Less Deadly Sins brought to you by Katherine Coulson.

Seven

It is easy to make distinctions when it comes to sin. Despite the obvious consequences of certain actions, ultimately the Bible doesn't really categorise, but warns that doing whatever we feel like doing is not a free life. The business end of sin is death to our spirit. We will conclude each teach with a time of liturgy for confession as a chance for all to examine themselves. Drivenness

Louise digs deeper into our drivenness and how we can avoid motives of wrongful ambition and pride, suggesting that when these are at the heart or drive our decisions - love and unity is not always our true goal. This type of ambition, begins and ends with self, is often at the expense of others, can be destructive to you and other people, potentially is excused or dressed up as being driven, successful, achieving whilst also bringing discord & disunity. God is not in the business to harm us. He cares about you.He has come to give us life and life to the full! (John 10:10)

However, as good and positive as the outcome/result may be, if intentions & motivations driving us towards something aren’t the right ones (rooted in God), we may be in a cycle of sin without even realising it or it is in fact causing us or others harm.

Binge

Our trouble is often because we excuse, or minimise our own sin— it is easy to make distinctions. Despite the obvious consequences of certain actions, ultimately the Bible doesn't really categorise, but warns that doing whatever we feel like doing is not a free life. The business end of sin (the wages) is death to our spirit.

A great mistake is living for ease and happiness rather then seeing good things as a by product for both living well and from God’s goodness. Living for the weekend? Living for your family? What fills your heart? What are you trying to get through? Relieve? Escape from? Deadly is that you believe it is your right, you deserve it.

This is Part 5 in our Seven series brought to you by Jonny Lee.

The Sin of Self Reliance

Is Self - Reliance a sin? Often we are encouraged to be self-reliant and stand on our own two feet - and yet God said it is not good for us to be alone! In his letter to the Galatians, Paul unpacks how his need of their care, lead to the kingdom of God expanding amongst them, he was with them because of his illness, through his vulnerability God tested and grew them, and the relationship between him and the church became deep enough for him to later challenge them. Well, maybe try relying on others this week, and allow others to rely on you, and see how the Kingdom expands amongst us.

This is Part 4 of our Seven series brought to you by Justyn Towler.

This is a 7 part teaching series on the less deadly sins.

Self RighteousnessJesus tells a story of two men who go up to pray in the Temple at Jerusalem. One of them a Pharisee, stands apart thinking he is better, the other a Tax Collector stands at a distance, knowing he can’t stand in his own merit. Self-righteousness causes us to separate from others, look down on them and justify ourselves - however it never works - Jesus declares it is the Tax Collector who declares he is a sinner who goes home justified.

This is part 3 in our Seven series brought to you by Justyn Towler.

RebelTo be the authentic witness to this world and become more like Jesus we are to recover, learn and practice an obedient spirit. We don't enjoy discussing the issue of authority even though we deal with it every day. We translate it as being told what to do told how to live. Resentment and rebellion to authority is ironic because none of us know what to do all of the time! If you serve God you must handle any responsibility that he gives you, learning to be trustworthy is learning to be obedient and to be ‘In’ authority is learning how to be ‘Under’ authority.

ChatIn this message Jonny explores 'Chatting' and the layers of what we say - also, how it can be used both in a disciple way and sinful manner, in terms of 'gossip' and curse words.

We often excuse or minimise our own sin. Whatever WE commit WE must realise it is no less deadly. What are you making a practice of? Do you walk what you talk? Jesus lives up to everything he says. What about us?

Time Redeemed

Harriet explores our time in the here and now - the time we call today.

Paul says in Ephesians 5:16, speaks of “redeeming time. ”Redeem is a very specific word, which speaks something of rescuing or buying back”

This message looks into redeeming time, and how we use the wasted time and redeem it. Focusing on our limited time on this life on earth with our mortal bodies.

This is Part 3 of our Time Well Spent series delivered by Harriet Verah.

Time Well Spent - Teach Us To Live Wisely and Well

A well known phrase is' time flies'. There seems like in life there is too much to do leading to a belief we would get it all right, if only we had more time? If we care to admit it, we will probably agree, that we don't manage time as wisely as we should. This series focuses on time as gift and a resource and that it is good discipleship to use it well.

Time Well Spent?

This is part two of the Time Well Spent Series, it sounds like the same title, but it’s a question. Are we spending our time well? A message about time wasting, about re-orientating time so that we spend time with the end in mind, with eternity in mind. Living each day as the gift that it is. Learning to number our days, not waste them.

This is Part 2 of our Time Well Spent series delivered by Andy Bromley.

Smart Living

Too many act as if they have all the time in the world, and so we susceptible to procrastinating. We all need a healthy balance for how we spend our time. To find ebbs and flow, rhythms and seasons is good for us. Moses, in his era, thought about time much differently than we do today. It was holy, purposeful, a gift; both in Kronos terms and in Kairosmoments. To use time well, let us smarten up like Jesus and be about the Father’s business.

This is Part 1 in our brand new series called Time Well Spent delivered by Jonny Lee.

Stewards or Slaves?

Are we a steward or a slave? There are three things to think about to answer this question, you cannot steward that which you serve, we can be content with the present, because He is present, and true prosperity is having the Lord as our portion.

We steward our finances well, and keep our lives free from the love of money, because just as God choose us in Jesus, we choose him, and choose to make Him our portion, Him the only one that can truly satisfy us.

Pursuit of Godl-y-ness - It's Not Mine, It's Yours

In this series with dig deeper into Godly stewardship and how Jesus shows us what that really means. What does it really mean to use our money and talent wisely? A Stewardship teaching theme brings out our responsibility that all we have God has entrusted to us.

Page 1 of the Bible is a good place to start – we discover on day 6 that man is made in the image of God: “Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion (rule) over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” So God created humankind in his own image, in the image of God, he created them.’

It really all belongs to God. He has allowed you to steward what you have. The pursuit of more, makes YOU less.

What Is A Steward?

From the very beginning, God charged us to be able to take care of things. We were given responsibility to manage, and wisely steward all we are and have got. In truth, all we have to deal with, really is spiritual at heart. Hence, if we live fully for God, no matter how hard life may be, we will have a fruitful walk. What always counts, is what we are letting God have ownership over, as ultimately, ’it’s not mine; it’s yours.’

This is a brand new 4 week stewardship series called the Pursuit of Godly-y-ness. This is Part 1 in our new series and this message is delivered by Stephen Beamond, called What Is A Steward?

Psalm 51 - Consecration

You cannot redeem humanity without changing all people - otherwise it is doomed to defeat. God tolerates wickedness and tragedy, as he is waiting for all who will choose Him come to Christ. If only we had a twinge of how God feels what would we do?

We cannot afford to wait until we have been exposed.

There is a basic fact that God has made this world good and all that is good; but we have gone bad. The I in Sin is U.

A psalm of David, when the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba.

In this 2 Part series we uncover the story and significance behind the song Psalm 51 as David is not so much concerned about what other people think but what God thought.

Who Are You Looking For?Standing at the foot of the cross. Standing near by in a garden. The pain of this episode of suffering was heart breaking, defeating and distressing. When Jesus died it crushed so much in those standing near by. Dreams were blown away and the traumatic nature of the event ran deep. The real magnitude of God’s plan of salvation was still to come.
Every Easter Sunday is a hope filled recognition that tears can be turned to joy.
Easter is a reminder of what we are all looking for and what can only be found in Jesus.

Back To Basics

The theme ‘The Holy Bible’ and in this message, Katherine explores how to read the Bible and essentially go back to basics. Encouraging us that we need to know the word for ourselves - that it is a personal revelation from Jesus deposited within us whilst reading His book, the breath of God.

The Holy Bible
In a time where absolute authority is questioned, for individualism, in regards to truth, we believe the Bible stands above it all. We believe that all Scripture is God inspired and that the Word of God is to be revered. We encourage all to read and get to know it as the major way in which God communicates with us.

The Bible claims it alone gives us special revelation about God, and it alone describes the way to God. If Christians place so much emphasis upon the Bible, do we really know: What it is? Can we trust it? How do we read it? Although the Bible is difficult to believe from talking snakes, donkeys to miracles, wonders, virgin births and resurrections.

This teaching series will aim to create more understanding not to blindly accept without considering the difficulties of how relevant the Bible is for us today.

Tell Me The Story
Before ascending into heaven, Jesus spends forty days dropping in on his disciples, and opening their minds to understand how the Old Testament Scriptures were pointing to him, his death and resurrection. The Bible is ultimately a story book, telling the story of a God was gave himself in death so we could live in resurrection. When we know the big picture story of the Bible, it helps the individual chapters and episode come to life.

Authority & Author
There are two things to avoid when thinking about how the authority of the bible applies to our life.
1. Taking the author out of the authority. We are not a religion of the book, where we look to tick the boxes we think the bible presents, the bible should lead us to the life of Jesus - we don’t use the bible to tell us we are getting our live right, we use it to show us what the life of Christ in us is like.
2. Taking authority away from the author. We are on dangerous ground when we disregard texts we don’t like, because “that doesn’t sound like Jesus”! Jesus is both the author and the authority - He is the word! And so when texts challenge and trouble us - we understand that Jesus is speaking as much in those moments, as when He is doing things in the gospels that we love!

For You

God knows what is best for you and for your life. Yes? No? Not sure?

In the Old Testament, there is a plan of salvation. Proverbs 16, is better understood as our ways and works, not our plans. At the core is you have something in your heart but you allow God to have the final word or direction. Not decrying business planning strategic plans for a personal development project, all of that you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail.

Purpose is what human life searches for; to feel purposeful, that life has meaning. Question's Christian’s tend to ask are “What is God’s plan for my life?” “What is my calling?” “What would people in Ukraine say at the moment?”

If what you are looking for is ‘living your best life’ I think you’ll find in following Jesus that is discontinued. The biggest thing God calls you too is to himself. The plans God has for you are to save you. From there, you are working out how best you can serve God.

What you do need to know is that GOD IS FOR YOU. God is not organising his agenda and plans around your self fulfilment, you are getting in on what God is doing.

Filled

We are filled for purpose not experiences. Most of the infilling work of the Spirit, most of what he prompts, are so we can serve more effectively, witness with more power and pray more intelligently. We are filled as an absolute necessity for service. When someone is filled with the Spirit, there is always a positive consequence that demonstrates the influence of the Spirit in the believers life. One of the results throughout the New Testament is that someone else always benefits.

This is Part 6 in our 6 Part series uncovering the Holy Spirit delivered by Jonny Lee.

When Jesus left for heaven he stated the best gift he could leave was the Holy Spirit. We cannot fulfil the mission of Jesus, or become more like Him, without the power of the Spirit. Jesus may have gone, but he has not disappeared. We want to people to know God better, and that requires knowing the person of the Holy Spirit. With so much misunderstanding on whether the Spirit provides any practical relevance to life today, we want to lead more than merely an encounter but a transformation towards life in the Spirit.

Living Water

Water is life giving and its properties are the basis for life itself. God centrally provides for us. The Spirit is an endless resource of refreshment. John uses the metaphor of water to display the Spirit within the context of salvation that they keeps on nourishing. The inexhaustible supply oil the Spirit is freely available to all believers. After the initial flow believers are to take responsibility for the Spirit flowing through them. Water represents wisdom and teaching that flows from the Spirit and symbolises the renewing property we continually need. The Spirit cleanses, refines and prepares us for the future.

On Fire

On fire! Your on fire! You’re doing so well that is unstoppable; very enthusiastic, passion, fervent. Enthusiasm comes from the words to be ‘in God’. You are ablaze, aflame! Theologian and evangelist, John Wesley stated, 'I set myself on fire and people come to watch me burn.’ Fire is a state, process, or instance of combustion in which fuel or other material is ignited and combined with oxygen, giving off light, heat, and flame. In this message, we explore fire and the Holy Spirit with Pastor Jonny Lee.

The Oil Will Not Run Dry

Oil is often associated with the Spirit in the Bible, the anointing was the process of a person receiving the Spirit and the authority of office and work that goes with it. What we see in the life of Jesus is the power of God through the Spirit was evidenced in his life and works. Fundamentally, those who were anointed with oil were identified as people who had been entrusted by God with important responsibilities. As we examine the characteristics of this oil as it is used in the Bible, we can start to see that this metaphortells of the Holy spirit- it gives us a visible and tangible way to understand the invisible presence and action of the Holy Spirit upon and within the believers in the Church of Jesus Christ.

Bubbles

As one may hear the sound of the wind and see its affects we are identified with hearing the voice and work of the Spirit. It is not possible to determine when and where the Spirit will blow so we acknowledge he is supremely in charge. The awesome power of the Spirit a hurricane cannot be taken for granted, but also he works through the calm and gentleness of a breeze. Wind produces energy, air does not. Wind is strongly unpredictable. We learn through this message about the Spirit being dynamic, personal and uncontrollable. Life would stagnate without the wind and we need the Spirit in motion to keep moving us on.

Whose That Behind The Mask? One of the biggest questions in the Christian faith is: ‘Who is the Holy Spirit?’

What does the Bible teach us? How can we build a relationship with the Spirit? This message will emphasise how the Spirit in the Old Testament mainly inspires individuals for special tasks, and was for a temporary period. In the New Testament the Spirit is presented as being available to all believers and remains with you always. To get to know someone we start from who they are. To get to know the Spirit we start from: The Holy Spirit is a person and a divine person. The Holy Spirit is God.

The Manifesto
Jesus has chosen the Church to be the instrument of His purposes. We are to carry out his mission here on earth by learning what He came to do and how we can further it in and through our lives. These two opening messages to our Jubilee will help you understand the work of Jesus and how you can you use that to launch your own mission this year.

We Are 'They'
Isaiah prophesies that a servant will come, chosen by God to bring freedom and good news, and comfort to those who are distressed, but then he goes on to say that those who been set free and comforted become Oaks of Righteousness, with the ability to re-build and restore the nation around them.

If we want to do something great for God, we might not be ‘they’, but if we know we need God to something great in us, he will set us free, bind up our weakness and transform us into a ‘they’ who can impact the nation around us.

What Is The Mandate?

When we see what Jesus came to do, we see more clearly what we are called to do. The first time Jesus delivered His mandate was in His hometown. Reading from the scroll of Isaiah, Jesus applied it to himself as a way to bring people into God's plan. Our jubilee year is a declaration of bringing freedom to others. Jesus' work of our redemption was completed on the cross. His unfinished work of reaching others continues as ours.

Wrong Side Of The Wrong LadderSo often we experience stress, because at the core of our souls we are pursing the wrong things, trying to climb up the wrong end of the wrong ladder - yet Jesus said if we seek his kingdom first, all we need will be added to us.

Stress To ImpressWe all have varying degrees of stress that causes our life to be in tension. Stress a reaction to particular life events or patterns and can cause people significant problems. Difficulties that were previously manageable might become much more challenging to cope with. This can produce common signs and symptoms which have internal and external impact.

We would all like to manage and reduce stress in our lives. To do that, not only must we avoid what is unhealthy, but find a rhythm in God that redistributes those pressures. Most of us, keep busy to impress others, or have ways of living that though are enforced upon us we can still do something about. Others avoid life altogether, either way, we have a burden carrying God that wants us to cope with the demands and pressures of life.

This series acknowledges that we all at times struggle to cope and can feel overwhelmed by life. We aim for a biblical understanding and application to help us reduce stress and secondly, learning how to overcome it by lifting it to Jesus.

I've Hit My Stress-HoldEveryone’s life today is over-scheduled, always switched on, and wired for productivity. But we cannot be switched on all the time. This may be the way of the world, but it does not have to be our world. We all experience stress, and have a stress-hold before things overwhelm, but God has a way for us to renew our strength.

Bridges & Brick Walls
When connected to a heavenly supply, faith, not fear, is the driving force, empowering our words to be expressed with respect and reason. It is only then that bridges, not brick walls, are created.

Standing Strong
The book of Daniel is an active encouragement to give your life to Jesus, and to be courageous representing him in your generation. We have a clarion call not to lose our nerve, or let our faith be diluted amidst huge cultural pressures. We want to equip you to go against the flow. Daniel, through active faith, silent and prayerful wisdom, shows us how to stand strong.

To stand strong in the world today means to be on the solid foundation of the name of Jesus. To live for him in a culture, that feels like you are swimming against the tide, you’ll need the right values, the right food, and to know who you are. You’ll need wisdom, to be bold, to maintain integrity and hold to a strong witness. You’ll need Prayer, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit. Let’s be a Daniel, rise our heads above the parapet and resolve not to get swept away.

Parlez-Vous Francais?
Daniel faces three tests in Bablyon, a change of diet, name and language. When it comes to language he fully embraces it, and God blesses and helps him understands all the literature and wisdom of Babylon. Like Daniel we have to be students of the world around us, if we ever hope for the message of Jesus to be heard.

A Change Of Name
There is much social engineering going on, but it is not dissimilar to all that Daniel and his three friends experienced. It won’t matter what people actually call you, accuse you, or label you, what does matter is who we are in Christ!

A Matter Of What Matters
How do we stand strong in a fast flowing culture that is trying to lure our trust and devotion to things that will ultimately bring death? Daniel understood that worship matters; who we place our trust in, our hope in, matters. Knowing that God is sovereign; the sense of comfort, that comes to those waiting for the arrival of His promises, the balm in the middle of uncomfortable surroundings and when everything seems lost, God is still working his purposes out. Worship matters in the midst of Sovereign matters.

Living The Best Life
Is it possible to feel at home and live as a Christian in today’s world, in a society or indeed a culture that has moved so far away from God, a world/culture who thinks and behaves so very differently, places importance on many other things and who rejects our way of life?

Jesus told a series of parables that will lead us to see a part of the gospel story and representing the Father’s kingdom on earth. To find something that we give our whole lives to is rare. Jesus led the way when He gave everything He had and we can do the same to see the Kingdom of God grow. Our values at Renewal, can only be lived out in Him, as the Kingdom of Heaven is where His values prevail in our lives. How can they be weaved into the life of Renewal? How can they link to our core four that are based around people?

The objective for this series is to put emphasis upon our values and how to live them out in kingdom ways. Values are what we do, alongside what we believe. They are a combination of what you create and what you allow. In short, our objective is to help all know what matters most to Renewal, making the kingdom of God our highest priority.

In Genesis, God divinely creates human beings institutes marriage and sex. To ‘know’ someone was the description of a sexually intimate act and was not casual but sacred and committed.

Knowing this, we can understand how we should conduct ourselves in such an individualised and over sexualised society. We consider the changing attitudes towards sex in culture and how effectively we, as a church community, can respond in a biblical manner of surrender, self-sacrifice, faithfulness and holiness - whether married or single!

In this series we aim we want to provide a biblical, positive outlook of the context for sex and show how this is a great thing for humanity in both marriage and singleness. To give a clear biblical picture for God’s divine intention for sex and relationships and to teach this as the foundation for our church community.

In this series we are looking at things people think about church that aren’t actually true. There are times we must teach to prove something that is largely believed to be true, to instead be false. We all have heard ideas and concepts about church, the Bible, aspects of faith, being a Christian and Jesus, that although could be a longstanding belief, need to be challenged.

In any of these cases there is only one thing to do, bust that myth! This is a great series to come with your questions and invite others along to see what they think!

Our speech reveals a great deal about who we are. James has such challenging teaching about the use of our tongue! The Bible is clear that only a renewed heart (personal renewal) can produce pure speech. Since the tongue is so difficult to control those who control it can gain control of themselves in all other areas of life as well.

We have a quest through this series to create the best discipleship community that we can. How we speak to and about others is at the heart of our discipleship. The objective is to set standards of conduct in our speech, and raise you to attain them.

To every person shame is the experience of feeling, or the state of being, inferior. If you are living under the weight of condemnation or a sense of disgrace, you are not certainly not able to flourish in life. Instead of having dominion, shame can dominate and be painful. Good news! - Through the power of the Cross, there is freedom from shame no matter how recent, or long ago the events occurred.

We don’t want anyone to think less of themselves in Jesus. Jesus has set us all free so we can walk confidently in liberty from all that may cause us shame. This series will help release the shackles of shame upon your life!

Christ is superior and the effects of His sacrifice are stunning. He entered in on our behalf, once for all time with His own blood as a sacrifice for all who would believe in him. Once. For You. For Everyone. Forever!

Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.

Fear is gripping, debilitating and can dominate your life. We can believe something is out there that we cannot do anything to stop. Fear has been with us from the start of fallen nature and as we read throughout Scripture there are many examples of men and women who like us were fearful. Facing fears with faith takes courage, but others have gone before us and defeated this stronghold - so we can too. We want you to choose to place your faith in God. He will empower you with all you need to overcome fear. Through this series we will teach the God given principles to defeat fear in our lives.

Emoji are small icons used to express an idea or emotion. Emotions are powerful, we all have them, but many struggle to express their feelings. We want to bring you to the deeper places of life, where to develop spiritually means to develop emotionally. To learn how we conduct ourselves in our thoughts and behaviour takes attention. It will be what we do with emotions that counts.

As much as the church cares for one another, we all hold personal responsibility for our inner private world. We need to tend, protect and deal with all emotional and spiritual aspects. Staying healthy and vibrant emotionally helps our outlook, awareness and empathy. All were highly displayed by Jesus and we want to conform into His likeness!

Essential to our Christian belief and growth is the cultivation of an inner life.
