We forget how much of our physical health is tied to how we feel mentally. Our body is all connected and we can't neglect taking care of ourselves mentally as much as physically. Thank you so much Joyce for being a guest on the podcast. Look out for Part 2 as we chat about Yoga!

Hi friends! Wow, it’s been a while since I did a solo episode, huh? I’ve missed speaking y’all one-on-one. Here we have a raw and real episode of my acne journey and trying to shift my mindset to embrace the skin I’m in.
In this episode, I chat about growing up with acne and struggling with finding beauty, a time where a manager told me I had to wear makeup, and chatting about Lou Northcote’s #freethepimple.
This was a difficult episode to record because I’m not yet there with loving myself and my blemished self, but one day we will get there and this is a step in the right direction! To everyone who has experienced acne and is struggling, your acne doesn’t define you and you are beautiful.

Hi friends! In this episode, I chat with Edline about growing up as Asian Canadian women of Philippine descent. We chat about the struggles and stereotypes of growing up Filipino and the lack of diversity and the misrepresentation of Asians in media and conforming to Western culture.
We also talk about how covid has affected the AAPI community, what we can do as people/allies/and society to make a change, educate ourselves and unlearn our racial biases. This is such a heavy topic and hits home for us. We don’t represent all Asians but we’re sharing our stories and experience to create conversation and raise awareness.
Rest in Power to the victims of the Atlanta terrorist attack. To those who identify with the AAPI community, my heart reaches out to you. Take time to take care of your mental health and to heal if you are hurting.

Hi everyone! ✨ It’s the first epi of 2021!!! We made it. This week’s episode is about things I’m leaving behind in 2020 and things I’m bringing in 2021. I start off by reflecting, A LOT, then I go into the 3 things I don’t want to bring into my life this year and 3 things I hope to bring.
What are you leaving and bringing for yourself? What boundaries did you set for yourself this year? What does success and happiness look like for you this year? So many questions!!! I don’t think this year will be too different in the sense of “normalcy” but, I do think that it’ll be different because we’re going in with different attitudes and expectations. Happy new year!

Hi friends! In this week's episode I speak about my own personal experience with my self-image from growing up with facial hair, acne, and my struggle with fitting with the beauty standard of Filipino and Western culture.
This episode was difficult to record because I acknowledged and accepted that I didn’t love myself growing up. Also, I realized how much our child traumas effect how we perceive ourselves up until now, as adults.

Hi friends! 🌸 Oh man… this was such an uncomfortable episode to record. Mostly because this is the first time admitting out loud of why I search the need to be liked or validation in others.
I’ve always been the type to not say something because I don’t want people to not like me. Sometimes, maybe, most of the time, we try to present ourselves a certain way because we care what people think. How do we want other's to see us?
In this episode, I question these things… are we looking to fill a void that we have in ourselves? Why do we want our boss to like us? Are you doing things because you want to or because society wants you to?
