DJ Mikey Moran (Bali Praia / Trigger Production) is a true soul in the djing networks of Jakarta, Indonesia and has been djing since 2003 domestic and international grounds including Ho Chi Minh City, Taipei, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Mumbai, Manila, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and all around Indonesia. He has been recently nominated as Uprising DJ Of The Year 2014 in Paranoia Awards, which is rated amongst the most prestigious award in the dance scene in Indonesia. His eclectic sounds range from spinning high energy pumping electronic music to commercial dance mashups that will keep you dancing on your feet till the last record spins.
He was the official opener of NE-YO Concert 2011, Far East Movement 2011, Michael Franti 2011, and Embassy 5th Playground with Gorillaz Sound System, Kelis and James Zabiela in May 2012, Opening for Avicii and Timbaland in Global Youth Forum in Bali Dec 2012 and finally in 2013 for Felix Cartal and Swedish House Mafia for their #ONELASTTOUR in Jakarta. He has also opened for Afrojack along with fellows Quintino, Apster, Shermonology and Angger Dimas for the JACKED tour here in Jakarta in April 2013 and Holy Festival in February 2014. Most recently, he was chosen to play in Dreamfields Festival 2014, the biggest Bali summer festival, which hosts Dash Berlin, Sidney Samson and other major DJs and also opening for Mos Def in Warehouse 82 in Bali.
He has just recently launched a new record label called Bali Praia - www.balipraia.com. He hopes to continue rocking dance floors both nationally and internationally.

A party a few months in the making... Started off from DJ Mikey Moran linking up with Axl for one special night to drop some real house music in the capital city of Jakarta, Indonesia. With EDM, trap and twerk dominating the scene, its rare to be getting some quality deep house in the mix. After a recent trip to Bali, Mikey linked up with dear friend Agent H and decided that G House should be brought to Jakarta as well... Linking up with PhatCat and Nix, we decided to bring this special night to life in Full Steam Ahead. It was a super packed night, probably the most packed I've seen in Hide and Seek and people loved the music and stayed til the last record spun. Back with the first mix of 2016… Been a while since I been on the decks, so itching to make another one after hearing some great music spun by a lot of DJs… Added some of my favorites here with HVOB, a new group I saw in Wonderfruit Thailand 2015, and then putting on some funky tech with Steve Lawler, Sonny Fodera, David Penn and Ash & Naila bringing back a Moloko remix… Explored some newbies Basti Grub Nathan & Dothan, Coyu as well but ending with some Purple Disco Machine, this mix is meant to take you on that journey. After a trip to Australia, and revisiting Revolver along with listening to a lot of Sonny Fedora mixtapes, I wanted to make a special darker tech mix. I haven't done a mix like this since "Come With Me to Tech Paradise" in 2009 and "Minimal is a state of mind" in 2008. Its a special mix in which I decided to go out of the norm and go into something much deeper. As Jakarta clubs are mostly about commerical, hiphop and EDM, its a nice breather to mix something like this with deep grooving baselines, big build ups, and thick bumpin beats.
Big shout out to my boy Hamish for introducing some of to the tracks and getting me inspired to do this mix and also ma Bali crew Reyhan, Khaled, Hamid and Fadi for inspiring me with deeper music. While in Shanghai for the wedding of dear friends Gordon and Tiffany Steel… I got inspired by a place called Amber Lounge… Simple set, great crowd, amazing music… led me to revisit the deep house genre and recording a mix for a mobile company. Along with recording a small profile video on my background, my work, my passion being DJing, this was a mix I made for them. From the likes of some of my favorites - Justin Martin, Sonny Fedora, Hannah Wants, Shiba San, Sasha, Maceo Plex… comes along another journey from the deep to the tech.
