Tim teaches on Matthew 5:27-37. Jesus invites us to share his simplicity of heart and to be free from the divided heart's ways of keeping up appearances while indulging the self, using others, and managing others through manipulation. When our hearts are whole we are able to perceive God more wholly.

A few simple encouragements: - We God's people have a legacy of thriving when things get dicey and the bible is full of solidarity and instruction for times like these. - Curse the virus, but don't curse the time. The time belongs to God. - Consider what gifts will you carry forward from this time - Consider what false identities, comforts, and other shakable things you will leave behind - Remember your and our story. There is a danger of assimilation into the nations, so... - Remain a people God has called out to live with Him at the center - Stay connected with faithful intentionality - The next season will look different; hold to the essentials - Don't worry: God has made provision in Jesus for your failure and the story we are living is the answer to our prayer for the kingdom to come.
The COVID-19 shutdown reveals a path for repentance and a recovery of both Jesus' way of making disciples and the spontaneous expansion of the church.
When God spoke creation into being then blessed and commissioned humans to extend eden he also spoke purpose into each of us. If we are to reign in life through Christ (being free and powerful in the initiating and sustaining of good) we must seriously learn to guard, recover, and steward our unique God dreams together with other members of the body of Christ until they become the good works we were created to walk in according to Ephesians 2.
With the increase of clarity of wineskins and stability of leadership, we realize that together with the Holy Spirit, Kindred Collective has, over the last 5 years, nurtured a hotbed of kingdom coals, burning embers, that we believe God is ready to release into our city.
