The seventh release from Cassy’s thriving imprint, Kwench Records, sees her mixing up the formula as the bumper six-track EP is the first to introduce Canadian virtuoso Demuir – the first producer signed to Kwench – as fellow A&R. Considered one of the most respected underground producers working now, Demuir matches Cassy for having a deep knowledge in house and techno genres.
“Kwench Records’ ethos is to highlight club-focussed beats from across the house and techno spectrum. Following that core tenet, we went with more artists on this EP to get a solid mix of fresh and different sounds, and to showcase what we enjoy playing to clubbers as DJs. All of the producers on this EP have a strong commitment to underground music with a fresh perspective that they consistently deliver in their releases.” – Demuir.
The previous releases on the label have been a series of tight collaborations between two producers, plus one remix artist – all of who can be considered among dance music’s elite. The forthcoming EP, which drops at the end of September, goes in big showcasing nine producers on one EP.
On ‘Fusion’, New York techno producer Avision, Oslo-based deep house veteran and Canadian doyen of the underground Jay Tripwire dig in deep to deliver a slick selection of solo cuts. In keeping with Kwench’s collaboration focus, co-cuts come in from Romania’s Paco Wegmann and Californian innovator Hector Moralez, revered deep house producers Pete Moss and Onur Ozman, and Brazilian brusier Sisto alongside US dynamo Jack District.

Another EP and another classic in the making...
We welcome back Onur Ozman to the label and on remix duties, its that man from France again - David Duriez.
Onur Ozman gives us 2 original tracks which we would call his staple sound, bold and daring, pushing the boundaries of the house sound, without trying to copy others or follow trends, these are instant dancefloor winners to have in your sets.
Onur's 'A Woman In Love' is a beautiful deep and melodic house track, tight percussion, a haunting vocal and layers of spacey goodness for you to get lost on the dancefloor. David Duriez then comes along on his remix and turns it on its head and pushes the track to another level, going deeper, techier and with hits of acid as he keeps the main elements in from the original. Finishing up with 'Reset', Onur shows that his grooves and percussion work for them sets that are in dark spaces with flashing lights, using multiple vocals to make the track flow and then adds a bassline that will send shivers down your spine.
