New single "I Should Tell You" out August 1st. Sweet, soulful & intricate acoustic music. As a teenager I battled with an illness called M.E which left me temporary in a wheelchair. Whilst growing up with the illness I found refuge in a love for the guitar discovering folk talents such as Nick Drake and John Martyn which helped me battle my illness. Overcoming odds and an awakening of the soul are a theme in my songs. Please support my music by checking out my debut album "Wake" https://ffm.to/wake Thanks!
For once I know just what I want Indecision waits Like an old friend at my door With it’s creeping ways
These days there’s so much noise And it’s filling up my head Even in the stillness of the night Are all the words we never said
Oh raise my mind Across the world, taking flight Oh wake my eye So I can feel at peace tonight
The sand is slipping through my hands I can’t slow it down All the moments that we lost The silence of that sound
These days there’s so much noise And it’s filling up my head Even in the stillness of the night Are all the words we never said
Oh raise my mind Across the world, taking flight Oh wake my eye So I can feel at peace tonight
All words and music written and performed by Ross John Martin Recorded by Isi Clarke at Grange Farm Studio Mixed by Ross John Martin Mastered by Benjamin Lincoln at Middle Mastering
Hazy, dreamlike and retro tinged, all that good stuff! This is inspired by one of my favourite movies, comment if you think you know what movie it is!

RJM's debut album is a melodic mix of different styles but seems to remain artistically cohesive throughout. The album begins strange and electric and even funky before it fades into mellower and more acoustic pastures. The theme of the album is one of spiritual awakening and quiet reflection and his voice is both soothing and reassuring.

Lyrics
In our time I've seen they dwell in hollow walls A hazy trance awaits, the darkness turns to light In the morning I awake Chasing thoughts of all we know and love
In your mind I've seen you're trying to get out A hazy trance awaits, I'm waiting for someone In the morning I wake Chasing thoughts of all we know and love
It's not easy when your vision disappears It's not easy being an open book, when your backs against the wall But your love will lead all things to follow And your love has shown that there's a way When the sky begins to fall
In your dreams I've seen, you're dying to believe A hazy trance awaits, I'm waiting for someone In the morning I wake Chasing thoughts of all we know and love
It's not easy when your vision disappears It's not easy being an open book, when your backs against the wall But your love will lead all things to follow And your love has shown that there's a way When the sky begins to fall

Lyrics
We're In this place but we could sail around the world in time I'm in your mind and I'd be mad to walk away far from my side
I love you for a reason I can't forget And let me know your ways I'm wanting more and more
We'll break this phase and I've been thinking that we can in time We'll move away and see lighter days, I'm by your side
I love you for a reason I can't forget And let me know your ways I'm wanting more and more
