In this episode, we talk about a passage found in 1 Kings 22 as well as 2 Chronicles 18. Micaiah the prophet tells of a vision where the Lord sends a spirit to go and be a lying spirit in the mouth of false prophets. We talk a lot about what this passage could mean, and it's implications. But more importantly, why we should always be seeking to find answers to the question we find. Instead of sweeping them under the rug.
In today's episode we talk all about the canon of scripture. And as these episodes go, there were a lot of rabbit holes we went down. It's a lot of fun and we really hope you can take something from it.

QUICK NOTE! One thing was said in the beginning of this episode that was mis-spoken. I (David) said God does not normally actually do anything in the Bible, but uses natural means or works through humans. This was intended to mean that God does not usually show up in as dramatic or visually intense ways as it specifically pertains to the judgement of evil. In this episode we take a look at a common passage that stumps Bible-readers. We discuss the complexity of Spiritual Beings and their misrepresentation in American theology. We also talk about Bible translation and why some words such as 'evil' are translated differently in different Bibles. This discussion is barely scratching the surface of the topics and we hope to explore all of them in more depth at a later time.
Elijah and other Prophets do some very interesting things to convey their message and appeal to their audience. Sometimes they do things that seem to raise modern people's suspicions. In this episode we look at Elijah and Elisha doing a very strange sign indeed, with a boy who has died.
