Supreme Court Slaps Down Inferior Courts

Bryan Fischer here with with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Federal district court judges have no constitutional authority outside their own districts. Yet under President Trump these courts - which the Constitution calls inferior courts - have been routinely issuing nationwide injunctions, most of them direct attacks on the president’s immigration policies. The Supreme Court has finally taken notice, and Neil Gorsuch last week slapped down these lowly district judges, saying they do not have authority to set policy for the entire nation. If these judges are allowed to get away with this, activists will quickly learn they don’t need to go to the Supreme Court to stop the president’s agenda - all they need is a bottom run district judge in Hawaii or San Francisco to pull the plug. It’s long past time for this practice to end, and under this Supreme Court it will.
