Host and owner of the NBayd show, Gary has studied the NBA game since his childhood. An avid fan of history, Gary has applied that interest to the NBA and developed a knowledge of players and teams that played long before he was around to witness them. A radio veteran, Gary's career began as a student in Oswego New York, with stops along the way in Martinsville VA, Olean and Salamanca New York before settling with his wife Ziyanda in Middletown New York in 2014.

Gary Ayd kicks off the first hour of the show discussing the play of Steph Curry after Klay Thompson's injury in Game 6 of the NBA Finals and how he thinks the Dubs guard gets a pass from the media and doesn't compete at an all-time great level. Jose asks Gary the Top 5. Vivek Jacob from Yahoo Sports Canada joins Gary to discuss the Raptors' NBA Finals victory. Former NBA broadcaster Bill Herenda joins the show to give his opinions on The Finals and the Raptors going forward, also referencing Kevin Durant's upcoming free agency.

He begins the hour with a couple of quick hits around the NBA, a bold prediction, shocking news about his knicks wanting to move down and potentially lose out on the only real talent available. Reasoning behind the knicks possibly move down because they feel that they can get players better suited to partner with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Time and space are the currencies of offensive effeiciency according to Paul Jones, Gary gushes over Siakam great game and how he's been on the bandwagon the entire year. Outside of Kawhi Leonard the two guys discuss how Danny Green role may go unnoticed around most pundants but Paul and Gary understand his importance to this team and their victory last night and moving forward in the series. The next segment deals with the rockets statement released by Daryl Morey where he stands by Mike D'antoni but we visibly see that they are forcing his hand out of the door. His final segment of the First hour is making fun of himself about how he has got to this point in his career.
