Good morning! I'm making moves to try to get the podcast going more regularly than we have been! A few nights ago, Melanie and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary by doing what we love to do - ministering the Word of God with our sisters at Eddie Warrior Correctional Center in Taft, OK.
I had some technical difficulties - my good recorder is currently missing - so I had to record this with a backup method. So my apologies for the rough audio, but I believe it's a valuable message you will enjoy.
WAAAAY back when. 1983. Pastor Lloyd was a young (29) man in his first pastorate when he shared this message with the congregation of Faith Life Temple, the Pentecostal Holiness church then located in Pryor, OK. (For those of you in the Pryor area, this was the church on the west side of town that is now the location of Pryor Apostolic Church.)
Recently, after over 50 years of ministry, my grandmother, Josie Dickson, graduated to glory, and among her effects, I found this cassette. It's 40 years old, but it played well, and I cleaned up the audio as best I could. I believe you'll be blessed by this message.

We start with a Christmas worship set. No snow, no reindeer, no Santa, no Grinch -- just six upbeat, joyful songs celebrating the REAL reason we as Christians celebrate this time of year, JESUS.
Then we dig into the Word of God to see just why Jesus came. Here's a hint: He didn't do it for Himself, because He is Love, and Love seeks not its own. He came for us!

From Ephesians 1, we continue exploring who we are in Christ. We are signed for and purchased, sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, and delivered and redeemed in Him.
Episodes 97 and 98 are taken from the same text, in two different facilities. It's amazing how the same text, with a different audience, can go two divergent directions. At Eddie Warrior, from Ephesians 1, we focused on the fact that we are ACCEPTED in the Beloved.
Because we minister in different facilities, not all of them get the material at the same time. So this is only Part 2 at Cushing while it was more along the lines of part 4 at Eddie Warrior.
Earlier this year I started a new series entitled WAU? (Who Are You?) I've misplaced the first two parts of the series, but here's the first part I currently have available. Because Jesus Christ has risen from the dead, and because He is alive in us, we have been MADE ALIVE!
This was close to the end of my teaching of Dad's "Nine Things You Need to Know to Live in This World", and it leads into our next series, "Who Are You?" We take a look at who we are in Christ and who He is in us.

Rick shares with the Friday afternoon congregation with a totally different take on spiritual warfare. When you "fight" from a position of union with and in Christ, it changes the way you react to the "attacks" of the enemy.
