Gd views us as spiritually wealthy wether we learn the Torah or not because the fact is that it still belongs to us and that is our Infinite worth.
Does G-d give curses if we don’t follow His ways? How can this be if G-d is purely good?
Gd blesses the Jewish people telling them He will remove wild beasts from the land. What does this mean? Will there no longer be wild animals there?
Hashem tells us that we should not sell ourselves as slaves to non-Jews. We are His slaves. But we should not feel like slaves. He created us for the purpose of studying the Torah and performing His Mitzvot.

When an animal is born it must remain with its mother for 7 days and only on the 8th is can be offered as a korban.
The Torah is very precise in its wording. There are two ways to deliver a message, with soft speech and with hard speech. What does this teach us?

Pharaoh said to all of Egypt “Go to Joseph and do whatever he tells you to do.” By strengthening our own commitment to Judaism, we influence our fellow jews to strengthen theirs.

Joseph gets thrown in jail, and even in there he finds a way to help others. Being opened to the need of others gave him the merit to later on be the viceroy of Egypt. From here we learn that looking outside of ourselves even during difficult times will end up reaping rewards.

Jospeh was beautiful inside and out. It is written he was “beautiful in form and complexion”. This doesn’t mean that we should wait to be perfect in order to reach others for spiritual perfection is relative to whom we are giving it over to. One who knows Alef should teach Alef.
The pit was empty of water, yet full of scorpions and snakes. What does this represent? What can this teach us today? Tune in!

Rachel saved the Jewish people by telling G-d to not punish us when serving idols. Just as she wasn’t jealous of her sister Lea who married Jacob, so too Gd shouldn’t be jealous of us serving idols and because of this she saved the Jewish people from being destroyed. We must never be intimidated by the world; the outside world and the inside inner world of the mind. Once we answer G-d’s call to “go for yourself” we are no longer bound by the limits of our own capabilities.

When the Torah said that G-d destroyed the earth, it means that he destroyed earthiness; the mistaken belief that the world exist independently of G-d.
Noah showed G-d he was ready to get out of this exile by showing G-d the raven and the Dove. We can learn from Noah to reach out to G-d and take the first step of our relationship with Him.

Today’s daily study speaks about the emotions and intellect and how they reflect the nations we are permitted to attack in regards to conquering the land of Israel.
The Jews had just repented from the sin of the spies and wanted to head over to the Land of Israel. As we learned previously Moses was not granted permission to the land (when he hit the rock) therefore some of the people went in on their own. They were called rebels because they went in without a leader.
If we focus our perspective on G-d as all loving, as opposed to a G-d of judgement we can perform our Judaism with much more love and warmth. Perspective is key 🔑
G-d blesses us with gifts that we can pursue. It is our duty and responsibility to tap into them and use them for the purpose of fulfilling our Divine Mission.
The way we help others is the way G-d will help us. We have a choice on how we choose to offer our rebuke to another person. The way we offer it to someone is the way G-d will offer it to us in our personal lives.
No One is Isolated because even if we think we are alone, in private, or hidden, our actions still have a concrete affect and consequence in this world. Keep that into account next time you head out on a vacation!
Just like there were signs that led the people to the city of Refuge, so too, there should be signs that lead to the life of Torah. Those signs shouldn’t be inanimate, rather they should be alive. We are the physical signs of Torah that can bring our fellow brothers and sisters back to their Divine Journey.
The Levites were true ambassadors of love. They were in charge of watching over the refuge cities and educating the people there. Their role was to connect the Jewish people to the Tabernacle and Temple, as well as to each other and to G-d. When we enhance our spiritual connections with other fellow human beings, naturally we ensure no physical harm is being done.
We are all leaders because we were all given unique talents tailored specifically for us as individuals. What we are good at is usually aligned with our Life’s Mission. We learn this from the Torah portion of Mas’ei where Moses divided the land of Israel according to the Tribes’ individual members.
The reason why the verse uses the word « fall » when speaking about the land of Israel will « fall to you as an inheritance » is because it will fall unto us like a soul falls from heaven into a body. Tune in for more.

In this portion we learn how the daily & holiday sacrifices we used to offer are now replaced with our daily prayers.
Moses our leader comes close to his passing, and gives over the leadership to Joshua. We can learn from Joshua to be humble and proud of the task we are given instead of being envious of people in higher positions than us. There is no higher or lower each person has their unique task.

Bilaam wasn’t successful at cursing the Jewish people due to their modesty so him and Balak decided to bring Midianite & Moabite women to seduce the Jewish people. Unfortunately some people fell into the trap and Pinchas took responsibility for the rest of the people and dealt with the situation face on. Because of Pinchas, the Jewish people were saved and G-d granted him Priesthood.

When Bilaam tried to curse the Jewish people by saying they are like the dust of the earth, we can take that as a compliment and say that treasures are hidden in the dust.
Last week was a double weekly torah portion (parsha) so we are adding all the balak episodes faster than usual to catch up with the ACTUAL daily study so the we can be living with the torah. This portion talks about how Bilaam woke up early to curse the Jewish people but G-d did not allow him to.
Here we learn that evil cannot stand on its own. It is only created as a test to be overcome. When we are aware of the true nature of evil, it is much easier for us to resist it.
We learn here that our thoughts have an effect on the people around us and even more so when we are in leadership positions, which we all are whether we intentionally like it or not.
The Jewish people are one with Moshe & Moshe is one with them. This union is what bonded into one strong unit and gave them the ability to conquer Og, the King of the Amorites of Bashan.
Rejections are also a part of G-d’s plan. After getting rejected from multiple kingdoms, the Jewish People knew the only way to go was to connect to G-d and their higher consciousness. Human Intellect was not the priority for a time of Survival.
In today’s daily Study we learn the importance of maintaining our enthusiasm for the service of G-d so there will be no room for Amalek (negativity) to seep in!
The King of Edom refused the Jewish People into his territory, which in turn caused the Jewish people to make a detour on their journey. Moshe announced that this detour will not obscure the Jewish People’s journey, rather get them closer to fulfilling their Divine Mission.
Because Moshe & Aaron hit the rock without consulting G-d they lost their privilege of entering the land of Israel. We learn form here how careful we need to be with our actions.
Even if you don’t have all the qualities to help someone it’s still important you try and help them to the best of your ability. When Miriam passed away, Moshe took on her role and brought her merits back to this earth and the Jewish people were able to have water in the desert again.
Today’s portion speaks about the ego and the soul. If we function from a place of ego our own lives can get blocked from our self-centered interests. If we get in touch with the Divine part of ourselves we reach a state a flow & bliss.
This portion we learn the Torah verse that teaches us the concept of Ma’aser which we pratice until today. Every sum of money we receive from any job done we must give a 10th directly to Charity.
We learn from the distinction of the Levites and priests and the rest of the Jewish people that we all have the ability to reach the level of a Priests who is so closely connected to G-d. We must look beyond our labels we create for ourselves and get in touch with who we are, children of G-d. We may then have the ability to reach heights we would have never imagined.
This portion talks about the need for speed we should all have in our Avodah (daily service). Just as the priests served G-d with Speed, so should we. We learn this from the verse of Aaron’s staff that grew Almonds overnight.
When the incense (korban) was offered out of selfishness, it proved fatal. The antidote to this misguided deadly drive is to involve ourselves in things that bring life: Torah.
