Quantum mechanics is the study of how particles at the atomic and subatomic level interact with each other and their environment. The observer effect is the phenomenon in which the act of observation alters the behavior of the particles being observed. This effect is due to the wave-like nature of matter, which means that particles can exist in multiple states simultaneously.

"24 yr AF Veteran where I served as a clinical lab officer. Following the AF I worked in higher education and most recently worked as a healthcare administrator specializing in long term care. "I am Heather Emerson Burckhardt a working professional mom of 2 kids. 16 year old son and 13 year old daughter who keep me busy but make me so proud each day. I was married for 18 years and dated him for 7 years before that, 25 years total. We seperated/divorced in August of 2020 and I have been part of DGB family since May 2022. I enjoy walking, running and riding my peloton to relieve stress. Sewing, making wreaths and writing are all things I enjoy to escape and create. This summer I plan to attend several concerts, go to the beach and visit the lake as much as possible. This is my favorite time of year!!! My big goal this year is to complete the Marine Corp Marathon. I finished it 10 years ago and I'm trying to do it again….faster.

"I divorced in 2021 after a 25-year marriage. There were days, I fluctuated from feeling like I was falling into a dark black hole, to being buoyantly optimistic. I am so grateful that I took the leap to join Divorcing Gracefully. The group discussions, module practices, and interactions with Dona, Kati, and Jacki took me on an uplifting, life-altering journey, toward self-discovery and self-actualization. I can now joyfully announce, that I am a full-time Artist after teaching art on the side for over 35 years.All my life I knew I was born to be a visual Artist. Raised on Chicago’s North Shore, I yearned for nature and the wild and wanted desperately to live like the kids in the movies who went fishing and walked across the creek by placing stepping stones in the moving water. Instead, digging in the mud in my backyard was my favorite pastime. I loved the feel of earth squishing through my fingers and often spent hours manipulating and forming imaginary cities and odd creatures. As I grew, so did my materials. My dresser drawers were filled with scraps of garbage I collected off the neighborhood streets. A rusted muffler would become a body for a figure. A milk carton would be transformed into a diorama. My hands became my tools. Like a shovel to a gardener, I unearthed my inner artist. I knew at a very young age that I could conjure up beautiful things and bring them into existence. When I was creating, I was present and content, I was at home.My current artworks speak of inner growth, universal energy, and transformation. My work is ethereal in nature and created for the purpose of informing and raising spirits. This body of work invites viewers to dive into personal power and guides them toward finding peace, joy, and healing. My sculptures inhabit and confront challenging themes such as memory and loss, darkness and light, intimacy, and seduction. For inspiration, I look at forces of nature: topographical images of hurricanes and Hubble Space Telescope images. Capturing emotional states or the energy of now, I use that impetus as fuel to drive my process. I begin many of my works by drawing gesturally with wire or steel rods - twisting, melting, and manipulating until the armature speaks to me. My three-dimensional artworks are formed by stretching an opaque fabric over a linear steel construction. My airy sculptures look like floating, celestial cloud formations or other-worldly figures that have come to life. Welded steel, glass, Eco Epoxy resin, sewn acrylic coated fabrics, fade-proof parachute fabric, and color-changing LED lights - these innovative, durable materials act as vehicles for expression in my suspended public sculptures.

A little about Moraine:
I live in Stratford , Ontario and am a retired Elementary School Teacher. I have 2 sons and was married for 28 years. I moved away from my community after selling the family home in order to help look after my elderly parents. I have completed an Empowerment Coaching Certification from the Simply Women Accredited Training in Canada. I am presently practice coaching for free as part of my requirement to be a Gentle Trauma Release Practitioner from The Gentle Trauma Release Institute. I enrolled in Divorcing Gracefully and Beyond in order to belong to a supportive Community of Women going through the same issues as myself as well as to receive coaching as I felt somewhat stuck in deciding whether or not to continue seeing my boyfriend as well as why I have resistance in completing my Gentle Trauma Release Certification. I really enjoyed the level of coaching, learning modules and community of women going through similar issues to what I had gone through and am still working on creating a new and improved life.

My name is Liz. I came to DGB very early on right after I began the process of divorcing my husband after a 13 year marriage. I wanted to “solve” my divorce just like I had tried to approach all challenging aspects of my life. My divorce has been the best worst thing that could have ever happened, and although it took a few years, I have learned to surrender to the process and to feel all of it.
2 years later and I am in the best shape of my life and my self care is on point. Professionally I have found my voice after 20 years as a social worker helping others. I am still finding my voice in love and am learning my value. I practice daily affirmations. I show up for my community and I help anywhere or anyone I can. I am a kick ass mom and I am blessed with the most important job of living and raising 3 amazing little souls, age 10, 8 and 4.

"While I moved around quite a bit growing up (So Cal, Seattle, Indianapolis, Burlington, VT, and Kailua, HI), I have lived in Mount Vernon, WA, about an hour north of Seattle, for the last 18 years. I have an amazing 12 year old daughter who is embracing opportunities in middle school to try new things like debate and volleyball. She is my rock and source of constant inspiration. My family and friends are very important to me, and I have always been lucky to be able to travel to see them all over the country. I am a National Board Certified Teacher, and have taught in CA, HI and WA for 25 years. I have a passion for learning and teaching that I hope others find contagious. I love to cook healthy meals from scratch, although I struggle to follow exact recipes. I also love to do yoga, day hiking, swimming and interval strength training at the gym to keep my mind and body strong. I find jigsaw puzzles and laying in the sun to be my most calming and meditative activities. I have so much to give and am ready to receive the same from the one who will finally be able to keep up with my awesome."

"I am Kristi. I have 5 kids ages 24, 22, 20, 18, and 10 years old. I am blessed to have been able to be and still be a Stay at Home Mom for 24 1/2 years. We have 3 dogs - a 7-year-old Chinook and 2 1-year old Brittany Spaniels, a cat, and a chinchilla. When I am not busy with the house, the kids, or the pets, I like to help out at my daughter's school and am on the committee for the charity event for Shepherd's Hope, a local nonprofit that provides healthcare to the uninsured. In my pre-kids life, I was an officer in the Navy for four years and taught at the Naval Nuclear Power School. After that, I taught high school math until my oldest daughter was born. For fun, I love to read, watch movies, see Broadway shows, sing and dance along to songs, and visit the beach to sit, shell hunt, and bogey board. I am working hard on connecting back to myself and exploring different paths I might follow."
