Wandile Simelane is looking forward to making an impact in the Lions Super Rugby side this season. The young man from Soweto who shot to prominence at Craven Week while playing for Jeppe High School two years ago, had a good 2018 which saw him finish as the top try scorer at the Junior Rugby World Championships which earned him a nomination in the Junior Springbok Player of the Year award category at the year end SARU awards.

Simelane has now been included in the Lions 2019 Super Rugby and he hopes to follow in teh footsteps of last year's Lions and Springbok sensation Aphiwe Dyantyi.
