Kenny Wilson: Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario. Kenny had spent his young life dreaming of writing a book. However, like most young men he never put action to his dreams.
Later in life when he became a father, he made the decision to start writing. The first book he wrote was based on a story first told to his daughter Evelyn while she was being put to bed. That night as she slept in her bed, Kenny began writing Tommy and the Christmas Coal.
Since then Kenny has gone on to write the Rabbit Girl series and to be featured in the Creepy Capreol 2 book that is due to be published in August 2019.
Always wanting to give back, Kenny is involved in the Mountain of Mittens program through his local church. Every year he helps schools be able to give thousands of mittens to children who would otherwise be forced to miss recess. He is also working with Sudbury Catholic School board to give books to kids who would otherwise not have books to read. For more information visit www.kennywilson.ca

Here’s my action plan of what I am doing for my clinic during this pandemic! I have shared with you what I learnt and from start of finish of this podcast episode, I go through over four pages of notes and ideas. These points I bring to your attention will help you take advantage of these times so you can return stronger than ever!
Summary of Tristan Ritchie: What made you decide to get into real estate?
When I bought my first home in my 3rd-year university I knew Real Estate was the career for me. I love investing and the "Art of the Deal". It's the largest purchase most people will make in their lifetime and I love to help them through the process. I also believe Real Estate is the best type of investment you can make. I want to create opportunities & help others reach financial freedom.
Why do you love working in real estate?
I love working in Real Estate because I feel I can really help people through a very uncertain time of making a huge purchase. I also, love being creative for deals and learning something new every time. The marketing is my favourite.
What part of the process makes you feel the most accomplished/happy?
I'll be honest here and say that when I steer my clients away from a home (within reason) I feel accomplished. Sounds counter-intuitive but I am not a salesperson trying to chase a paycheck. This doesn't really make sense so I will give you an example. I had a client who was looking for a home and we ended up putting in an offer. We went through a home inspection and they got financing but I could just tell there was something wrong. I double checked, triple checked and found out that they would not have been super happy with their decision so I told them we should call it off. After this happened they thanked me because they felt stuck and didn't want to disappoint the other people, including myself, that were part of the deal. Doing that made me feel way better than making the sale.
Which location are you an expert in, and why?
I am an expert in Southend, Laurentian, Lo-Ellen, Algonquin and Lively areas. That is where I do most of my business and I grew up in these areas. Walked, played and skateboarded in all these neighbourhoods. I know them like the back of my hand. I also do business anywhere else in Sudbury.
What makes Lake City Realty different?
Being ahead of the curve and innovative. We are industry leaders. We compete on value. We offer and invest in all our clients. We have skin in the game and we care more than anything. I LOVE our team and I believe we are the Best in the business.
What can we find you doing in your spare time?
In my spare time, I love to play basketball. I play almost every day! I also like going camping/hiking and spending time with friends debating over anything.
One word to describe yourself?
Driven.

For past president Lorraine Chartier, the long and difficult journey of childhood cancer and its treatment began in 1991 when her youngest daughter Barbie was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma. Life took a sharp turn at the Chartier residence with Lorraine attending to Barbie’s continuous medical needs while dad’s role became divided between pursuing his education, working, maintaining the well being of the entire family and numerous trips to Toronto; whilst their daughter Michelle stayed home and took on the responsibility of caring for her two brothers. During that period, most of Lorraine and Barbie’s time was spent in Toronto either at the Ronald Macdonald House or in the hospital during Barbie’s numerous surgeries and ongoing chemotherapy treatment. After Barbie lost her long and courageous battle to cancer in 1996, Lorraine attended OPAC meetings in Toronto in an attempt to bring back the Rainbow CanCare support group in Sudbury. With the help of oldest daughter Michelle, and Janet & Guy (also bereaved parents), the foursome was determined to have a support group available to families in the Sudbury area who were dealing with childhood cancer. They understood the feelings of isolation following months spent out of town for their child’s treatment and the geographical challenges of not being able to attend support groups in Toronto upon their return home. After unsuccessful attempts to bring back Rainbow CanCare, the foursome, along with other parents founded Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer-NOFCC in the fall of 1998. In 2000, the NOFCC began fundraising activities to provide financial assistance to families as well as providing them with emotional support. The NOFCC expanded their support from the Sudbury region to assisting families throughout Northern Ontario. Although fundraising proved exhausting and challenging, Lorraine remained adamant that we continue helping the outlying areas. She would always remind us that since NOFCC was the fourth group started in Sudbury and that it was the only one that had survived that long, it would be difficult for outlying areas to have groups of their own given their smaller population. She would also remind us that families living in Northern Ontario had to deal with challenges that families living in Southern Ontario didn’t have and that northerners had to stick together as one community. Today, years later… a successful registered charity that has seen over 200 newly diagnosed children within our chosen areas. The charity is constantly growing, volunteers are continuously striving to make a difference and support from communities and community members continue to increase. Our Mission To provide hope, support, advocacy and education to families who have a child with cancer.

Copaiba essential oil is derived from the resin of the copaiba tree, which can grow upwards of more than 100 feet and can be found in tropical South America. Copaiba oil is widely used in cosmetic products including soaps, creams, lotions, and perfumes. Since the 16th century, copaiba essential oil has been utilized in traditional health practices by the natives of north and northeastern Brazil. Similar to Black Pepper essential oil, Copaiba can help soothe anxious feelings and it can be applied to the skin to promote a clear, smooth complexion. Taken internally, Copaiba essential oil supports the health of the cardiovascular, immune, digestive, and nervous systems. It also helps support a healthy inflammatory response. Copaiba oil can be added directly to the mouth to cleanse and soothe the gums and oral cavity. Although Copaiba oil does not contain psychoactive cannabinoids, the main component, β-caryophyllene, may be neuroprotective and may have cardiovascular and immune benefits when consumed. It’s also a powerful antioxidant that promotes immune health.
Copaiba oil contains the highest levels of β-caryophyllene (BCP) among currently known essential oils. An irregular cannabinoid and sesquiterpene, BCP is a potent constituent within copaiba essential oil. BCP selectively binds to CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system (ECS)—a signaling and regulating system comprised of enzymes, receptor sites throughout the body, and endocannabinoids produced by the body. With cannabinoid receptors found widely in the body and all major organs, the ECS acts as a major regulator of human health. The CB2 receptors in this system are of particular importance because they are mostly found within the immune system. When Copaiba is consumed, the BCP binds to these receptors to aid healthy immune and inflammatory responses. It also influences multiple signaling pathways to promote healthy liver, digestive, kidney, heart, and brain function. With its wide influence on key organs, BCP supports general well-being.
Uses
Add one to two drops to water, juice, or tea to support the health of the cardiovascular, immune, digestive, nervous, and respiratory system. Provides antioxidant support when ingested. Take internally to help soothe and calm the nervous system.* Apply topically combined with a carrier oil or a facial moisturizer to help keep skin clean and clear, and to help reduce the appearance of blemishes. Swish with two drops of Copaiba Oil and one drop of Peppermint Oil to freshen the breath and promote oral cleanliness. Apply two to three drops and cover with Deep Blue Rub to soothe sore, tired muscles after strenuous activity. Mix equal amounts of Copaiba Oil and Fractionated Coconut Oil and apply to restore stressed skin. Add one drop of Copaiba to your daily HD Clear® Facial Lotion application to improve the appearance of the skin. Place one to two drops of Copaiba under the tongue to encourage a general sense of well-being during periods of stress or nervousness. Diffuse three drops each of Copaiba and Breathe to support healthy respiratory function. Diffuse two drops each of Copaiba, Vetiver Lavender, and Wild Orange to promote restful sleep at night. Diffuse two drops of Copaiba with four drops of Serenity to promote a calm and peaceful environment.

Why is First Impressions Professional Teeth Whitening better than bleaching strips? Bleaching strips work over a period of time and must be used regularly to maintain optimal results. Strips are meant to lie across straight teeth. If teeth aren’t straight, areas may be missed, resulting in a spotty smile. Moreover, strips are “one-size-fits-all” and must be trimmed to fit your mouth. Chemical burns may occur on the gums if strips are improperly applied. The professionals at First Impressions apply a powerful but gentle gel to your teeth, using a tiny, versatile brush that reaches every crevice while avoiding sensitive gum tissue. With First Impressions, you don’t have to worry about burns or missed spots. You get a brilliantly white smile regardless of shape, size and set of your teeth. We offer two whitening treatment packages. The STANDARD 80min package consists of 2x 40min sessions under the LED light done back to back at one visit. For maximum whiteness consider our SUPREME 100min package consisting of 2x 50min sessions done at one visit. We will also take/verify your medical history, assess the condition of your gums, assess the teeth to be whitened, take note of “before” shade, “after” shade & deliver after-care instructions. You can expect the appointment to last approximately 2.5- 3 hours from start to finish depending on the whitening package purchased & the number of people at the appointment. Because we are equipped with 3 dental chairs & 3 whitening lamps, we can accommodate groups of 2 to 3 simultaneously and offer group discounts. Perfect for bridal party members, girls’ night out event, group “spa” parties etc. (Minimum of 2 clients for a MOBILE whitening appointment booking, please) Although sensitivity is not an issue for most patients, we offer an optional, five-minute, post treatment procedure (for a nominal fee) that diminishes the possibility of sensitivity while strengthening tooth enamel. No whitening treatment can promise permanent results. However, you can expect your smile to remain brighter for up to 12-18 months with the regular use of our Whitening Maintenance Pen (available for purchase).
The key to the success of our whitening program is the finest gels- WICKED WHITE - coupled with blue light technology. The process used by First Impressions has been approved by the Canadian Dental Association for both safety and efficacy. Find out what makes First Impressions the preferred choice among business professionals, brides, pageant delegates, performing artists and models. We promise our service will leave you smiling. Chronic stress is a problem because your body can’t distinguish between causes of stress. It doesn’t know if you’re being chased by a bear or dealing with a deadline. All it knows is that you’re stressed and as a result it secretes cortisol. Chronically high cortisol will suppress your immune system because if you where actually being chased by a bear it is more important to channel your energy toward fleeing the bear than it is to flight off an internal infection. Therefore managing stress and using methods to prime your digestive system are critical of maintaining a healthy digestive environment. Michelle touches upon stress playing a key factor in many dis-eases today but also touches upon women’s health and pre-pregnancy care!
