In Matthew chapter 13 Jesus gives us the inside scoop on some monumental news: “THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS HERE!”
OK… So what does that mean? Well, Jesus thought the best way to explain it was through a series of stories, or parables, as they are sometimes called. His stories tell us that the Kingdom of God is a revolution that He, Himself, brought to earth. This revolution is not something political or military-driven. Instead, it is a revolution to overthrow all evil and bring earth and heaven back into harmony. Big stuff! And He is inviting us to be part of it.

This message was preached by Matthew Rogers on Sunday, June 12th 2022 and is the seventh message in the series What's Going to Happen.
What’s going to happen? The book of Revelation provides us with the Bible’s most intense gaze into the future. However, turning to Revelation for answers can be a confusing exercise. Many interpreters of Revelation approach the book as though it were a linear account of how the end will unfold. This is the predominant approach of those who teach about Revelation on Christian Radio, or who host prophecy conferences. It’s the dispensational, pre-tribulational, pre-milennial view that made the Left Behind series a mega-seller years ago. It’s great fun for the imaginative mind. But it’s misleading. Revelation is more likely a collection of descriptions about one event. The successive visions go deeper into the details of that one event. The 7 seals, the 7 bowls, and the 7 trumpets each describe the events leading up to the end – each building in their intensity and urgency. It also is first and foremost a book about discipleship. It’s about how to stand firm to the end. This is the primary purpose of Revelation. The book powerfully exhorts us to become the kind of people now that will endure like that then. The only way this will happen is through the path of discipleship. Becoming more centered in Jesus Christ.
This message is entitled: An Unstoppable Witness part 2
