“You have to add tools to you; you can’t succeed just by sheer willpower.”

It’s about the journey and not the destination. Who you become as a result of whatever it is you are doing, is far more important than the accomplishment itself.
The most important part of anything you do is to do it for the right reasons. You will always be chasing happiness if you are looking solely for the approval and love of other people. Get to know the person you spend the most time with in your life, yourself. Reevaluate your values as you grow because it’s likely that what was once important to you, is not your priority today. Look at the world around you and ask yourself, what it is that will fulfil you, what is the value you have that the world needs right now, and go towards that.
Once you set your mind to what will fulfill you, you need your skillset to back your willpower. Don’t put yourself in a box; it’s a huge advantage to be multifaceted, you don’t have to be just one thing. Continue to develop and add tools to your skillset, this will make you more valuable and successful.
To inspire us further, I’ve brought on successful entrepreneur, author, speaker, and coach, Freddy Behin.
Known as the “Leaping Achiever”, Freddy brings a unique approach to personal development by revealing how to literally “Leap” to the next level in all areas of your life, just as he did to become a world-class athlete, successful entrepreneur, and a life-saving doctor. “Try something different; there’s always a way to change something.”
(click to tweet)
Everyone faces hiccups and failures but it's how you chose to handle those situations that will change the course of your life.
When presented with a negative, search for a way to change it to a positive. Find something about the situation that you can appreciate and avoid negative thoughts. You have to alternate your thought process and face your challenges in a different way. Approach every failure as a learning experience. This way of thinking will lead to positive actions and therefore positive outcomes.
We are a reflection of the people we surround ourselves with so it’s also important to find positive people to be a part of your circle. There are many different ways to solve a problem and many different paths to get to the same place. Be open-minded and embrace the ideas of your peers. Don’t be afraid to try multiple methods and filter them out until you find a solution that works best for you.
To talk about his path to positivity, I’ve brought on Frank Shankwitz.
Frank Shankwitz is the co-founder of Make-A-Wish Foundation, a non-profit organization that grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. He has received the President’s Call to Service Award, the Making a Difference in the World, the Making a World of Difference and the Ellis Island Medal of Honor Awards. He has also co-authored the book “Once Upon a Wish” with Rachelle Sparks. In 2019, a biographical film titled “Wish Man” was released, telling the story of Shankwitz, his life and his foundation. Frank continues to work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation as a Wish Ambassador and keynote speaker across the United States.
In this episode, Frank challenges us to change the way we approach negative situations in our lives. If you can surround yourself with a positive circle of people, and push yourself to view every failure in a positive way, you will find yourself with more happiness and success.

“Find what you're passionate about and then monetize it.”

Sure, some people get lucky and have overnight success.
For most of us, though, this is not the case. Success takes work. It takes time. Be prepared. It’s not just an adventure, it’s a journey.
The most powerful thing you can do is wake up every day to learn. You are in control of your decisions, your failures, and what you learn from them. The moment you stop wanting to be the best at what you’re passionate about, or to move forward and learn from your mistakes, is the day you should find something new to do. The only way to make success sustainable is to embrace the fear and prove to the world that you deserve the things you’re working towards.
Once you know what it is you’re passionate about, it’s time to take action. Make realistic goals for yourself, analyze your objective, and strengthen your base level as you work your way to the top. We can’t all just jump in and be successful. It takes time, commitment, and realistic, achievable goals that will help you build the pyramid of your life.
To inspire us further, I've brought on a true entrepreneur, announcer, entertainer and motivational speaker, Bruce Buffer.
Bruce Buffer has been the “Official Voice of the Octagon” for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) since 1997 and for many other mixed martial arts events worldwide and is recognized internationally as “The Voice of Mixed Martial Arts”. The UFC is seen worldwide on Satellite and Cable TV PPV. He was also on SPIKE TV’s hit series “UFC Unleashed” and “Ultimate Fight Night” and now appears on all FOX network televised UFC events and Pay Per Views viewed by millions worldwide.
In this episode, Bruce encourages us all to dig deep and go after whatever it is we’re passionate about. If you can monetize your passion, you can live the life you deserve.

Don’t let other people judge your success. * Embrace failure. Learn from it. * Recognize who your target market is and work on guerilla marketing. * You have to adapt to the climate of business. You have to adapt to the seasons you’re working in. * Lead by example. Learn how to analyze what you’re doing. * Making excuses is accepting failure.

“You need to understand what you want.”

It’s not over until it’s over.
Although this new world can feel scary and uncomfortable, it is imperative to remember that times will always be changing. Life is always different.
Now can be just as amazing as any other time if you just decide on what you want and truly - I mean truly - go after it. A lot of people only know what they don’t want versus what they do. But when you focus on what you don’t want, it winds up being more of what you get.
It is time to give yourself permission to do whatever it is that you want. You don’t need permission from anything but yourself. Look at yourself every day and fill in the blanks of what it is you want and then go after it. The universe will challenge you. It will challenge how badly you want it. But those who succeed are the ones who prove that they want it more than others.
To inspire us further, I’ve invited the incredible Forbes Riley. Forbes is known as the Queen of Pitch. She has grossed more than $2.5 Billion in product sales. A true Renaissance Woman she has starred in tv and movies as an actress. hosted tv shows from ESPN’s X-Games to ABC TV, Discovery Channel and more. Hosted more than 180 infomercials and appeared on QVC for more than 20 years - Diverse, Enlightening and Dynamic- she inspires greatness in herself, but most importantly... in others!
In this episode, Forbes shares how she has pushed through a number of difficult and terrifying situations, reminding her that not only is she still here, she can’t afford to give up on what she wants.

“We are afraid of things that have never happened.”
(click to tweet)
Humans over complicate even the simplest of things.
It is in our nature to protect ourselves by analyzing the dangers first and creating fears about things that yet happened. It’s the way we prepare ourselves for the worst.
When we know that this is how we work, we can acknowledge our fear and not allow it to dictate our outcomes. From there we can learn. Seek as much knowledge surrounding the things we fear, understand the risks, find a guide who has been through it, and build confidence around taking the next steps.
If you want to make a change you have to take the risk. Change is hard. But nothing that is worthwhile comes easily. There are ways to manage your fears. You just have to take a step forward, keep moving, and know that it might not always be perfect but at least it’s movement.
Fong Chua is an entrepreneur, business strategist, real estate investor, speaker, and best-selling author. He has successfully unlocked many of his client’s potentials. Demonstrating how they can achieve more than they have ever thought possible. He has been able to inspire and bring to reality authors, entrepreneurs and speakers. Coming up with branding, marketing, positioning strategies that increase his client’s businesses and exposure, along with working on his client’s networking, relationship building, and public speaking skills, is what Fong does best. You can also find Fong on his podcast The PEAK Potential Success Show and weekly video series Make More Mind Bites on his youtube channel.
In this episode we dive into how to break through our status quo, break through our fear, and take the first steps towards our future when it seems too challenging.

Humans are ready for something bigger.
Let’s not judge ourselves when we’re in fear. Let’s not judge our current state of mind, whatever it may be. Let’s instead take a breath and tune into that place that knows we are whole and complete.
Tune into that part of you that knows what it is you need in this moment. Our current circumstance is helping us understand how we truly want to live our lives. What changes do we want to make? What legacy do we want to leave behind?
To help us navigate this I’ve brought on the founder of Soul Language, Jennifer Urezzio. Soul Language is a paradigm that puts tangibility to Soul so a conscious connection can be established to enable crystal clear decisions for success.
Jennifer is also a master intuitive and the author of two best-selling books. Currently, she has trained over 20 practitioners worldwide in Soul Language. At this time there are over 5,000 individuals all over the world connecting to their Soul Languages. Jennifer has worked with and supported hundreds of successful, highly creative individuals with resolving blocks in their creative process so that new opportunities can be received and created.
Many of us are used to working towards our goals all on our own, but this time of uncertainty is the perfect opportunity to slow down, tune in, and ask for help where needed. But things don’t happen instantly. So take the time to pause and ask yourself, what do you need to know today?

The eye can’t see itself.
If you are ever wondering about where your life, business, or career is at, then maybe you need to take a step back and look at it from a different perspective.
Our culture believes that we need to kick into gear when things slow down. But sometimes first we need to honor where we are in this moment in order to recognize how to progress.
Thinking about repositioning yourself in life means figuring out how to intersect who you are today, with how you want to show up, and to whom it is that it matters. You must not overlook what is important to you. The closer you can align your doing with your being the more flow, ease, and peace you will have in your life. Once you begin that process, having an outside set of eyes becomes key in noticing some of the programming that is difficult to see within oneself.
To discuss this further, I’ve brought on (re)Positioning expert and Law of Attraction speaker, Christine Clifton.
Christine Clifton is a (re)Positioning Partner for soul-powered entrepreneurs and professionals with a commitment to "keep your inner fire burning so you don't burn out." A 20-year veteran of chronic illness with a genetic connective tissue disorder, Christine had to learn practical coping skills as well as spiritual expansion practices in order to surThrive. In addition to 20-years in the corporate world and 14 years of entrepreneurship, Christine is a Coach U graduate and certified in two energy work practices. She’s the author of the #1 Amazon New Release, “Get Ready. Get Set. Flow... Work/Life Integration for Soul-Powered People” as well as “You don’t have to shout to Stand Out” and “Your Spirit at Work.”
In this episode we dive into the Law of Attraction and how Christine helps her clients convert things that happen passively into real tools for growth.

“Self love is loving what is.”

Highlights * There’s a difference in being prepared and being ready. * Embracing the emotion of where you are in the moment can be one of the most powerful things you can do. * Self-love is loving what is. * Getting into action too quickly can overlook new priorities and goals you might have. It’s important to understand how you need to show up in this moment. * What is your ideal life design? * Reassess your current values. They can change over time. * The Law of Attraction is real. * The word ‘vocation’ is rooted in the latin for ‘voice.’ Your calling is something you hear. * Your ‘why’ is connected to your being, not your work. * People are experiencing emotions as a result of what they’re going through.

“The word ‘attraction’ has the word ‘action’ in it.”

Believing in yourself can be one of your superpowers.
I recently came upon some information that said that coaching and consulting will emerge on top as we start to come out of this pandemic. But many of us who are in it might have trouble believing it. Many are losing the drive to keep pushing through.
As a result, I’m always interested in knowing what my guests would tell someone struggling with hope. And time and time again I’m hearing the same thing: now is the time to believe in yourself.
All of the amazing leaders of the world are regular people. They’ve all had down days but have succeeded because they’ve lifted themselves up. But lifting yourself up is not the only currency you have. There is power in lifting those up around you as well. There is power in giving back.
To dive deeper into these concepts, I’ve brought on the very successful and inspiring CEO of Craig Shelly Beverly Hills, Craig Shah.
Craig Shah is a renowned celebrity designer of fine Jewelry and Swiss watches. He is sought out for his unique fashionable and creative concepts. His greatest passion is to use his creative talent and give back. He has dedicated a great portion of his success for the benefit of children and soldiers. Craig proudly supports A Soldier's Journey Home, Along Comes Hope and Akshaya Patra. Some of his official time partners are Harvard and Yale for Rivalry on Ice, Cricket All Stars, Beverly Hills Police, IIFA, C-Suite, and PGA tournament amongst many other organizations. Craig is also an active investor and board member of many companies on road to successful exits. Craig lives by his motto: PURPOSE BEFORE PROFIT.
In this discussion, he powerfully reminds us that our gifts can be our currency. Now is the time to invest in our inner selves.

Take some risk. Look at those risky opportunities. * Stop trading your hours for dollars. * Technology is on your side today. Use it. * This is your time to invest in yourself. Create your own legacy. * Look for systems that you can duplicate. * It’s always good in the end. If it’s not good, it’s not the end. * The power of focus will make you successful.

Right now we are collectively grieving.
We are grieving loss: loss of what was, loss of expectations, loss of our goals. Perhaps, the actual loss of a loved one.
With facing such challenging times, I felt compelled to do a deep dive on how human beings face challenges and what we can do to build our resilience.
Whether it’s professional or personal, the one thing that will propel us through difficult times is our attitude. And so when things get extremely difficult, how do we not just maintain but continue to grow a positive attitude? What are the actions we can take to stay strong?
To break this down for us I have brought on Barbara Rubel, MA, BCETS, D.D.A.E.T.S.
Barabara is a subject matter expert in vicarious trauma. She gives professional advice to individuals and businesses who want to mitigate the impact of secondary traumatic stress, job burnout, and vicarious trauma in themselves, their teams, and in their clients. For over 20 years, she has built a lucrative speaking business for herself as a public speaker and trainer. Barbara a nationally recognized keynote speaker, trainer, webinar instructor, and consultant. Her programs motivate professionals to build personal resilience.
In this discussion, Barbara challenges us to dig deep, lean on our strengths, reach out to our families, and focus on the things we love.

“We can’t look outwards right now. It’s too exhausting. Look within.”

Highlights * Vicarious trauma: viewers and anyone helping those undergoing trauma also experience it. * What we accept is what we become. * Those who have some kind of relationship to their faith community (online) there is less use of drugs and alcohol. How does your faith or family sustain you? * Find a self-care action plan. * The Suicide Prevention Hotline: 1-800-273-TALK * If someone is suicidal never take them to the hospital. Call 911 immediately. * Instead of focusing on your fears, focus on what makes you laugh. * It is up to you to decide that today is going to be a good day.

Fear causes hesitation.
And many of us are standing still, sitting watching television and waiting for the pandemic to pass and for things to go back to “normal.” But if we don’t use this time correctly, we risk missing out on some major opportunities.
Now is not the time to hold back. Now is the time to learn to be a great entrepreneur. I’ve said it before; and I’ll say it again: those who don’t take action will be left behind.
That’s why I’ve invited my guest back on the show- Loral Langemeier. Loral Langemeier is one of today’s most visible and innovative money experts. She accelerates the conversation about money, sharing how to, not just survive this tough economic climate, but how to succeed and thrive. Loral has gone from the farm to a mansion and has developed ways to stay on top through any market crash.
Loral does not hold back or sugarcoat anything. If you want to know how to take action and start making money right away, you have to take notes from Loral. In this conversation she tells us her core strategies for keeping revenue streams flowing, and why listening to experts is key to your success.

Though it might not seem like it at first glance, right now more than ever there are opportunities.
We don’t know what changes have happened yet but as we emerge from this pandemic they will become clear to us. Those who stay current and ride the wave of change are going to be the ones that succeed.
It is imperative to maintain your “business hygiene” through a crisis.
Be ready to pivot. Meaningfully connect with your community. Make sure you stay aligned with your mission. Figure out what the true need is and how you can serve it.
On today’s episode, I have brought on an extraordinary community builder, Tricia Benn, to discuss the power of relationships and service. Tricia is a Partner and Executive Vice-President of the C-Suite Network and the General Manager of The Hero Club, an invitation-only membership organization for CEOs, founders, and investors.
As an executive within both organizations, her mission is to build a platform and community that accelerates the success of c-level executives. As Global Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer and U.S. Managing Director within MDC Partners, a $3 billion global holding company, Benn’s leadership drove double digit growth year-over-year and new contracts with some of the most important impact players in the world. .

If you ponder, you will squander.
We live in interesting times. Yes, there is a lot of fear surrounding our current circumstance. If you think about the businesses that came out of the 2008 recession like Uber, AirBnb, you realize it’s impossible to envision what might come out of this intense time.
So, if someone has the means to start a business, how could one possibly begin? How can a business leader position themself to come out of the darkness poised and ahead of the game?
To help us navigate our current entrepreneurial fears I’ve brought on my friend, primetime television host of C-Suite with Jeffrey Hayzlett, and Executive Perspectives on C-Suite TV, and business podcast host of All Business with Jeffrey Hayzlett on C-Suite Radio, Jeffrey Hayzlett.

Our jobs aren’t satisfying.
We sit at our desks, checking off the next thing on our to-do list—all in an effort to collect a paycheck.
If we’re not careful, the treadmill of tasks can become endless. We spend our entire lives just fulfilling the obligations that others set for us.
So what happens when we start to tap into our own internal voice instead?

Anyone can earn a paycheck.
You have to show up to your job, do what’s told of you, and accept the compensation with a smile. It’s an easy recipe to follow, and if we’re not careful—we may just blindly do it for the rest of our lives.
However, on the other side of the fence, exists your passion. Finding it grants you access to making your impact on the world.

We can feel negative emotions coursing through our veins.
Anger, fear, sadness—when we find ourselves in these emotional states, our body is overtaken by a very distinct wavelength of feeling. There is no denying it.
So our minds start to believe that there’s actual reason to be mad, scared, and sad. However, if we take a step back and assess our reality through direct observation, we can see the truth.
For today’s episode, I brought on the expert for this direct observation model: Dr. Timothy Hayes.
Timothy J. Hayes, Psy.D., is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. With over thirty years of successful experience doing therapy with individuals and families, Dr. Hayes integrates mind/body energy techniques into a client-friendly model.
This model is based on the observation that people possess within themselves all the resources necessary to deal effectively with a wide variety of problems and challenges they may be facing. Hayes has become widely known for his successes in relieving the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

“We are nothing if we don’t have good relationships with other people.”

Sometimes we let people into our life because we feel forced to. Sometimes it’s because they are family, maybe it’s someone who is a friend of a friend, or maybe it’s someone you feel would be a good networking connection.
The truth is, if you don’t have a high level of trust it’s not a relationship you are benefitting from. You need to be able to trust them, and it’s just as important that they know they can trust you. If this two-way road doesn’t exist, there will always be friction. You won’t be able to move forward and you’ll end up wasting the most valuable thing you have in this world: time.
To dive deeper into the importance of relationships, especially the one you have with yourself, I brought on an amazing expert: Tanya Dube. Tanya is a Transformation & Personal Development Coach, International Keynote Speaker and published author, Tanya-Marie Dubé is the creator and founder of the Thriving After Divorce Radio podcast, an interview-based series geared to women who are going through divorce or separation and who need the fundamental building blocks to permanently overcome debilitating fears, self-limiting beliefs and feelings of victimization so they can thrive in both their personal lives and businesses.
Tanya-Marie has been a life coach for 26 years and has a background in Social Psychology and is currently completing certification as a Tony Robbins Results Coach using the methodology and techniques from within Strategic Intervention, a program offered by Tony Robbins and Cloe Madanes at Robbins Madanes Training.

Highlights * Are you a leader and are you building leaders? * When you build a relationship with yourself, you start to see how you fit into the world. * Take the focus off of you and put it onto them. * Who you are in the world is created by your actions. * Often times your decisions aren’t your own, they are your parents. * It’s ok to fail. * We cultivate reality throughout thoughts. * What comes out of your mouth about other people is a reflection of how you feel about yourself. * Pay attention to what you're doing with your body. * Notice the language you are using - both internally and externally. * The most important conversations you have are the ones you have with yourself. * Go ask yourself what it is you really want.

Most people think being an entrepreneur means you’ll be the boss, taking control and choosing when and how much you want to work.
In reality, being an entrepreneur can be one of the most difficult tasks in the beginning. It’s far easier to just work a traditional J.O.B.
As you start your own business, it feels like you’re doing everything. Then as you figure it out, you can start to pass your duties on to other people. It takes time.
The success of a company takes a lot of time, but unlike a traditional J.O.B. being an entrepreneur has no limit to your success or your salary.
If you have the dedication to stick through all of the setbacks you’ll hit a point where you can’t ever imagine working for someone else again.
On that note, the biggest mistake I’ve seen people do is give up. Generally, when you feel like you’re about to give up that’s right when success is around the corner. You need to keep pushing past that point, and trust that it will happen.
To discuss this more I brought on a very special guest today, Dave Farrow. Dave Farrow is the Guinness World Record Holder for Greatest Memory - he memorized the exact order of 59 packs of shuffled playing cards and recalled them with only one card error - that's 3068 cards!
Dave began his career as a failing ADHD and Dyslexic student in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Ready to drop out, Dave went to the library to learn everything he could about memory, to improve his grades and graduate. While still in high school, Dave began teaching memory improvement techniques to other students and teachers and they all loved it.
In 1996, Dave Farrow earned the Guinness Record for Greatest Memory by memorizing and recalling the order of 52 decks of shuffled playing cards (2704 cards).
In 2007, he broke his own record by memorizing and recalling the order of 59 decks of shuffled playing cards (3068 cards).
Today, Dave Farrow is a successful speaker, author and entrepreneur. His Farrow Method for Memory Improvement and Brain Based Learning is the top learning program of it's kind in the world. Dave and the Farrow Method have been featured on over 2000 interviews on TV, Radio and in print publications.

No matter what anyone tells you, success is not an easy thing. You will never find that short cut to the financial life you want.
If anyone tells you it’s easy, or won’t take much time: run. They are selling you on a scam.
To be a success you need to work, and work hard. But not just in business, in everything.
Don’t show up and just get by. Whether it’s at work, or with your family, success comes from putting quality into every moment you have.
The best way to do that is to put everything into actionable steps. Don’t just aim for the big overall goals, break it up into smaller goals that you can easily tackle.
And most importantly, you don’t have to do it alone. Although you can’t make it easy, you can make it easier by bringing in someone who has been there and done it. A coach will make your life so much better by helping you avoid pitfalls they’ve gone through.
To go further into this, I have brought on yet another amazing guest: Dan Deigan.
Dan Deigan serves as an inspiration to others. His energy, passion, and “laugh” are infectious. He is a devoted Husband, father, and the co-founder of Little Conversations Today, has a radio show on CIDI 99.1 FM entitled Your Conversation Counts, and runs MAX VTS a value and services company servicing the transportation industry.
Dan grew up in Lachine Quebec, at the age of eleven his family relocated to Pointe Claire Quebec a suburb of Montreal. Dan was not a confident young man, he was insecure and afraid so he looked to the rough crowd to cloud his fears and insecurities, but all this did was find him in trouble with law enforcement.
These battles lasted until the day his Dad handed him a copy of Dr. Norman Vincent Peal’s book (The Power Of Positive Thinking). The concepts in Dr. Peal’s book as well as the intensive work he found himself drawn to by the world’s top personal development speakers like Brian Biro, Ed Foreman, Zig Ziglar, Bob Proctor, Dale Carnegie, and Wallace Waddles led Dan to a new awareness about what was possible when you change your Little Conversation in your head from the usual “I Can’t do that” conversation to “Yes I can do that” “I choose to do that” and “I am not going to give up, I will eliminate my ignorance with education and I choose to make positive choices daily.”
Dan is still a successful sales person in the expansive world of transportation. He lives in Ontario Canada with his wife Christine, son Brendan, and daughter Jessica.

The first thing I want to address, is that there is always risk in everything. You can’t let risk hold you back, because there is no such thing as a guarantee.

There’s a lot of people out there who call themselves entrepreneurs, but they aren’t. They’re glorified managers.
If you’re doing all of the heavy lifting in your company, and just reacting to circumstances thrown at you, you aren’t a real entrepreneur.
You need to take control of the business, not run the business.
Take the time to lift your head, and look at the larger picture. Work on developing strategy, and playing to your strengths.
You, ultimately, want to have a business where if you disappear for a week or two it will continue to run without any problems.
When you’re integral to the day to day operations, you’re still just working a job.
Being “too busy” is often times really just being inefficient.
To dive further into this, I brought you a very special guest: Ted Miller III.
After working with 25,000 entrepreneurs from 24 different countries, Ted Miller IIII has realized there were not 25,000 reasons the business owner would get stuck and stop growing.
Just like you would expect, he heard the same 13 challenges over and over again. Good news is, Ted uncovered distinctions on how to help his client better implement the proven business growth strategies & tactics to grow their business…often double sale in 12 months.
Along the way he was able to partner with many of his mentors, such as Robert Allen, Jay Abraham, Chet Holmes, Tony Robbins and other business titan’s while generating $100MM in revenue through business training, coaching and consulting. He also has his own show, Podcast Business Breakthroughs with Ted Miller III.

“You have to become a bigger, stronger version of yourself.”
I get so many people telling me how hard it is to get started. That things don’t just come easy for them like it seems to for others.
The truth is, it doesn’t come easy for anyone.
It looks easy because you are looking at masters of their craft. They have already struggled, you just weren’t there for it.
For something to be easy, you have to put in the work. You have to overcome the adversity that comes along with that personal growth.
That doesn’t mean you have to sit in a corner and beat yourself up until you get it right.
Instead, you can seek out someone who has already been there. You can get their advice, and uplevel your skills even faster.
On this episode of Results Radio, I bring you someone who has dedicated themselves to helping others boost their skills no matter what industry they are in: Ryan Long.

SHOW NOTES: YOURRESULTSRADIO.COM/29 “It’s the action in the law of attraction that makes our dreams come true.” - Greg Reid One of the most common questions I’m asked is, “Shawn, I’m just starting out, how to I become successful?”
The problem with this question is that most people don’t even know what success is.
Success is different for everyone, and it’s based on your goals.
The first place you need to start is looking at where you want to be. You need to set a clear, specific goal.
Don’t try to chase after too much. Don’t try to be a rock star, a movie star, a CEO, and a chef all at the same time. You’ll never be a success at any of them.
Pick that one thing you want to be the expert in and follow that.
Then you can know the secret to success: not giving up.
We all know people who stopped a few credits from a degree. Who decided not to push their passions, and watched in envy as their peers became a success.
Just when you feel like you can’t do it anymore. Just when you feel like there’s no point and you are running on empty, physically and mentally incapable of moving forward, that’s when you know success is right around the corner. Keep pushing, no matter what, and you’ll persevere.
On this episode of Results Radio, I bring you another one of the very best: Greg Reid.
Greg is an American filmmaker, motivational keynote speaker and best-selling author (best known for his book series titled Think and Grow Rich and Think and Grow Rich) which was authorized by The Napoleon Hill Foundation.
He has been published in over 50 books, 28 best sellers, five motion pictures, and featured in many magazines.
Reid is also the creator and producer on the International acclaimed films Pass It On, and Three Feet From Gold.
His unique style has made him a highly sought-after keynote speaker for corporations, universities and charitable organizations. Reid currently runs the Forbes recommended mastermind Secret Knock.
On today’s episode, we discuss how you can define what success looks like for you, and how you can get out there to make it happen.

“What’s common sense to you is brilliant to someone else.” - Greg Reid Highlights * Surround yourself with those you have respect for, not those you have influence over. * You need a name and a hook based on your expertise. * If people won’t pay, they won’t pay attention. * It’s not the destination, it’s the journey. * Most people don’t define their goals. * A lot of times we are focused on the wrong things. * We all need to be more flexible on how we get to our destination. * Successful people seek to counsel. Failures listen to opinion.

“I don’t compete, I just dominate the space.” - Darren Jacklin
Many people want to hide behind a computer and get rich. That’ll only get you so far.
The truth is you need to build real relationships in person.
Most deals aren’t made online, at least not the big ones. The biggest deals are always made between to people, one on one.
Social media is a tool, and can get you to that face to face interview. If you are serious about being an entrepreneur and not just doing it as a hobby, you can’t be afraid to get out there. Do whatever it takes to get face time with your potential customers and investors.
On this episode of Results Radio we are joined by one of the most inspirational people I know: Darren Jacklin.
Darren was told he was special, and not in a good way. He was put on drugs like ritalin and told he would be everything but a success, because he didn’t follow the rules.
As it turns out the rules you learn in school aren’t what it takes to be successful. They teach you how to be a mindless robot.
Listen to this episode today to learn how Darren went from rags to riches, and preserved even when everyone else doubted him.
“I feel scared every day, and I use that as fuel and inspiration to move me forward.” - Darren Jacklin
Highlights * Fear does not live in action. * Technology is just one tool. * Are you serious or is this just a hobby for you? * Treat life and business as a game. * Behavior never lies. * Most people get stuck in process, not execution. * Strangers have what you want, need, and desire. * The biggest deals don’t happen on social media. * Build the network of people before you lead them. * You need someone who will tell you what you need to hear instead of what you want to hear. * Your team doesn’t work for you, you work for them. * You need to go to people who already have the experience. I’ve known so many people over the years who call themselves a real estate investor. When you try to ask how many homes they invest in, they mumble and dance around the subject.
This isn’t investing.
Flipping one or two houses doesn’t make you an investor.
If you want to be an investor, you need to commit. You need to be serious and go all in.
The good news is this isn’t something you have to do alone. You don’t have to go into the trenches and hope for the best, you can reach out and get help make sure you reach the success you want.
In the end, investing in things like real estate has a huge pay off. But you really need to commit and be decisive.
On this episode of Results Radio, we are joined by Stefan Aarnio to discuss his journey as a real estate investor and the pitfalls he sees others go through.
Stefan Aarnio is an award-winning real estate Investor, Entrepreneur, Author and winner of the 2014 Rich Dad International Hall of Fame award.

“Your vision is going to compel people to want to work with you.” - Jason Greschuk
(Click to Tweet)
So many times people build businesses for the wrong reason. They set out to focus on financial gain without a goal in site, or a purpose to what they are doing.
Both of these things are very important. If you want to have freedom in your life, you really need to know your finances. You need to know that number you need in order to achieve the freedom you want.
On top of that, you need to know what problem you are trying to solve for people. Knowing this will help you find your purpose. It’s important to know YOUR purpose, not someone else's. If you aren’t pursuing that then people are either going to find out that you are a fake, or you are going to achieve burnout.
It’s this relationship of finding your goal and your purpose that will put you on the path to happiness and success.
On this episode of Your Results Radio we are joined by an expert in helping people find their end goal, Jason Greschuk.
Jason is a business owner and real estate entrepreneur in Winnipeg, Canada. He has been involved in business since the age of 13.
Formally, his background is in business at I.H. Asper School of Business but his real schooling took place on the streets in the game of entrepreneurship.
It is a game that he loves and a game that brings out the best in him. It is a way for him to be mentored and to mentor others. It gives him a way of self-expression and an opportunity to serve. It gives him an opportunity to test limits, have faith, provide for his family, enjoy his team, and work for a cause.

A lot of people think that success is something you are born into. That the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor. That’s simply not true.
There’s no reason that anyone can’t come from a terrible neighborhood and end up in a mansion. The trick is to shift your mindset.
So many people have a scarcity mindset that keeps them back. People are afraid to get out there and do things.
I hear so many excuses that they don’t have the right tools to get started, or that they don’t know how to get started.
If you want to get started, get out there and meet people. Learn as you go with the end goal in mind, because if you have excuses to wait then it’s simply never going to happen.
On this episode of Result Radio we are joined by a true Rags to Riches story, Paul Kazanofski. Paul was born in a poor family to immigrants who escaped a communist country. He grew up in one of the worst neighborhoods, and was taught education was his only way out.
Paul discovered there’s more ways to get out of the neighborhood than an education. The most important is a strong vision and a lot of passion.
Paul is now one of the top real estate investors in the U.S. as well as a highly successful entrepreneur, author, speaker, and TV personality.
He has been featured on A & E’s Bid, Build and Design and he has been the subject of a documentary called the 24-hour entrepreneur. Paulie was also a World Champion Kickboxer and he carries that intensity that he had in the ring right over into his work as an entrepreneur as well as when he coaches others on how to become successful real estate investors and entrepreneurs.

Many people hesitate when it comes to starting their own business and becoming an entrepreneur. They often times let their worries get in the way, or listen to other people tell them why they shouldn’t do it.
Being an entrepreneur isn’t for everyone, and it may not even be for you. If it’s something you are thinking about, though, it probably is for you.
The key to being successful is having a plan and knowing when the time is right. To answer the latter first, it’s all about intuition. You will know when the time is right, you’ll have that feeling and that desire.
It’ll be hard to sit at a desk in a typical J.O.B. You’ll feel ancy, have a hard time listening to people tell you what to do when you know deep down inside what’s really best. You’ll feel the need to be heard and appreciated.
When that happens it’s time to take action. Be prepared to work harder than you ever have before. Build yourself a support network, and get rid of the people who are nay-sayers.
Most importantly, follow your passion and know exactly why you are doing this. That’s what’s going to keep you driving forward.
On this episode of Results Radio we are joined by a truly inspirational and powerful woman, Monica Kretschmer. Monica is the Founder and CEO of Canadian Business Chicks, Women of Inspiration and The Nest Foundation. Born and raised in Calgary, she is an entrepreneur at heart with a passion for building authentic and relevant connections. Monica believes in empowering women and her mission is to help women thrive in business and in their personal lives.
Since launching Canadian Business Chicks, Monica has broken traditional barriers and silos by embracing collaboration and diversity. In three short years, Monica has built a recognizable brand across Canada and spearheaded partnerships with government agencies, non-profits, venture capitalists and women’s organizations.
Monica is an inspirational speaker, visionary, philanthropist, Alberta Flood Hero, 2017 Women Build Ambassador, Nest Creator, Master Connector and Disruptor with an abundance of energy and passion for making a difference in the lives of others. Monica has been featured on CTV, in the Metro, Calgary Herald, StandOUT Magazine and in the book The Rising by Taylor Lambert. Monica stepped into her power through adversity and believes that anything is possible with a positive attitude, disruptor mindset and a focus on building authentic connections.

Sales is a tricky concept. The negative connotation it gets in today’s world is undeserved. All it is is a conversation where you ask for something at the end.
But we have this preconception of the used car salesman in the polyester suit corralling us into his office to sign papers. But that's not what sales is. Sales is something different. It's the opportunity for you to be you.
While yes, there is the inevitable ask for the credit card at the end of the conversation -- the reality is we flinch at this part because we’re trained to not ask for the things we want. We grow up fearing our parents saying no, so we end up as adults, unaware of the ways to ask without feeling like the used car salesman. You just have to be aware of your strengths are and if you're bringing them to the conversation.
If you’ve struggled with sales, you’re most likely thinking about the money. But It’s not about the money -- it’s about who you can serve and how can you serve them. The person on the other end has already made the choice to buy what you’re offering --- you’re just walking them to checkout.
On today’s episode of Results Radio we are joined by international best-selling author and sales expert, Melissa Krivachek. Melissa dives into the nitty-gritty of sales, explaining why the stigma exists and how we need to think about money to become successful.

“The #1 trait of a great networker is a good listener.”
Show Notes: YourResultsRadio.com/20 We all know the importance of networking, but chances are you are doing it wrong.
Networking doesn’t mean you should go out, shake hands with a hundred people, tell them your name, and give them your business card.
That’s not networking - that’s cold calling.
True networking is a giving relationship. It means really making a connection with people and helping them.
Let me give you an example of bad networking. Most people go to a networking event to sell. No one goes to buy. That’s not networking.
You have to go out there, listen to others, and help them. Put them first and they’ll want to help you in return. If you’re not out to put them first you’re going to seem sleazy, pushy, and self centered.
In fact studies have shown that extroverts are the worst people at networking. Introverts show all of the best traits of a great networker. They listen, they care, and they make recommendations.
On this episode of Results Radio we are joined by the great Dr. Ivan Misner. Misner is an expert at networking, and created the largest business network group there is: BNI.

“Desperation is not referable.”
Highlights * School doesn’t teach networking skills. * Networking is not face to face cold calling. + This comes off as desperate. * Everyone shows up at networking events to sell, no one comes to buy. * Introverts are perfect for networking. * Do six things a thousand times, not a thousand things six time. * Most business people don’t really have a business plan. * You have to REALLY know your numbers. * Don’t worry about making a bad decision - you will. * Mistakes are how you learn and make you stronger. * We’ve had so much success for so long that we’ve become complacent. * The American dream doesn’t fall from the sky.

It’s a common belief that there is a safe choice in life. That taking “good job” means you’ll have security for the rest of your life. The truth is there is no such thing as a safe job.
Just because you are hired in a government position or as a teacher doesn’t mean you’ll have a job in two years. Growing up I was taught we would always need teachers, and today teachers are getting the worst end of the stick.
Millennials growing up were taught to go into IT. That computers were the way of the future, and that there was good money in it. Now the first Millennials are getting older and discovering that finding a new IT job after you are 30 is nearly impossible.
The only way to guarantee you will keep working is to work for yourself. Even if a business goes under, you can always start another. And another. And another. You don’t even have to wait for one to end before you start another, that’s the power of being an entrepreneur.
On this episode of Results Radio we are joined by an amazing coach, entrepreneur, and model: Alex Corson. Alex does an amazing job at helping businesses brand themselves, and she’s here to share her insights on what it’s like to make that shift into being an entrepreneur.

The biggest thing that hold anyone back from getting the success and results they want is fear.
It’s really amazing at how much fear can control us. So many people are afraid to take risks. They are scared they will lose everything, that things won’t happen the way that they want.
But you can’t let fear control you. We take risks every day. When you first started driving it was scary. Every time you get in a car you risk getting in an accident, but it doesn’t hold you back anymore does it?
If you need more help overcoming your fears, here’s a tip: stop hanging out with negative people. Lots of people will give you bad advice, saying not to do something because it could blow up in your face.
Instead, don’t share your ventures with them. Surround yourself by people who are already successful in what you want to do. Question them, take their advice, and run with it.

On this episode of Your Results Radio we are joined by Fong Chua. Fong and his wife are successful real estate investors, are working on their fourth book, and even coach real estate investors.

The number one fear in the world is public speaking. People fear getting up on a stage more than they do death. How crazy is that?
If you want to be an entrepreneur and business owner you have to learn how to speak. It’s a far better way to make an impact by getting in front of a group, rather than doing it one by one.
No matter what your industry, there’s chances for you to speak and gain more customers.
Unfortunately, however, the only way to get good at it is to actually do it. You can prep for weeks or even months, but without being in front of actual human beings you’ll never truly know what works and what doesn’t.
Luckily there is a safe way to do this, without getting in front of high end clients on your first try. Our guest on today’s special episode of Result Radio is Jacki Mclenaghan. Jacki has created a retreat just for public speaking.
It’s a great way to get up in front of a supportive group, and see what is or isn’t working. You get help from some of the best speakers, and seen by some important agents looking to book speakers as well.
Download this episode today to learn more about public speaking, how to get over your fears, and why you should be getting up on stage today!

Highlights * Try think one to many instead of one to one. * We’ve gone from not enough stages to too many platforms. * It’s easy to get lost in the noise. * Don’t try to be better than anyone else, step out of the sea of sameness. * If you position yourself correctly, talking to 10 people can be as powerful as talking to 200. * Don’t treat each speaking engagement the same. * Speaking to the wrong group can do more harm than good. * The only way to know if you’re going to be a good speaker is to get on stage. * You should have a signature speech, but you shouldn’t be married to it. * For every minute of speech you need an hour of prep. * No matter how much you prepare, you won’t know what will work until you get in front of people. * You can memorize your speeches in short vignettes that are interchangeable. * Study the people you admire, and see what they are doing. * Notes can become a crutch and kill your presentation. * The biggest key to getting a laugh on stage is having fun up there. * When something happens on stage, call it out. It puts the audience at ease. * Speaking is about the powerful positive effect you have on other people. * It’s impossible to have a possible impact without a positive cash flow.

You need to find your purpose, and run with it. Most importantly, you can’t give up. Making your dreams and goals come true take a lot of work, and it starts out feeling very stagnant.

Everyone wants to be a millionaire. That goes without saying. The problem is few people are willing to do the work to get there. I oftentimes hear people say, “It’s easy for you to make a million dollars. You’re smarter than me.” I don’t think that true.
What is true is that I am constantly learning, and seeking out knowledge from other people who are more successful than I am. It’s not that my brain can magically hold more knowledge, I seek out knowledge.
There’s no IQ test to being a millionaire. There are, however, proven strategies that can get you on track to becoming a millionaire.
This week I bring you someone who has spent her life making millionaires through strategies anyone can start doing today. Her name is Loral Langemeier, and she’s gone from the farm to a mansion and has developed ways to stay on top through any market crash.

Selling a product is easy, or at least it should be. The goal is not to land a sale, or try to persuade someone to buy something they don’t need. If you want to be a good sales person, make a connection with people and find out what they need.
Making a sale shouldn’t be about making money. It should be about helping people, plain and simple. If you can’t tell the difference between working and having fun then you are in the wrong business. There’s plenty of ways to earn a paycheck that are far simpler than trying to hustle money out of people.
When you are looking for a customer, know that not everyone is the right customer - and that’s ok. If people don’t need what you have, don’t force it down their throat. It’s also important to know that people aren’t commodities to be tossed away just because they can’t help you at that moment. Treat everyone with love and respect, and help them figure out what they need. Then give it to them.
Sales is all about helping - not taking.
On this episode of Results Radio we have a legend joining us that’s always been way ahead of the game: Warren Whitlock. Warren has been a master of sales and the internet since before the internet was around for the common person.
Download this episode today to hear amazing insights from Warren about what sales and business is really all about, and if it’s something that’s really for you.
“The opportunity for someone I know to do business with someone you know makes us more powerful” - Warren Whitlock

Highlights * We all want to connect with a person and share our stories. * You can’t have a win/lose mentality. * It does matter how you treat people. * Don’t put down your competitor just to get a sale. * Listen to people and find out about their business. * You’ll be much more successful by opening up and listening to people. * It’s important to have people you can trust to turn to. * If making money is your only goal, you have trouble. * You need to be dedicated to serving people and then be rewarded for it. * If you have to distinguish between work and play, you’re not doing something right. * Find out what someone wants, then see that they get it. * You don’t need everyone to be a customer. * To be a leader you need to learn how to serve.

“Great influencers attract people to themselves and their ideas.” - Bob Burg
Everyone wants to be able to influence people, and influence is something we need in order to survive. In our free market no one has to help you or buy from you, and so being able to persuade someone is extremely important.
Notice I said persuade, not manipulate.
Many people think influencing someone means being manipulated. In fact, to a lot of people the word influence has a negative connotation because so many people do it improperly. Manipulating someone can achieve the results you want at that moment, but it will have lasting negative effects.
No one likes to be manipulated, and people aren’t dumb. When they realize they’ve been manipulated, they became weary of the manipulator. If it was for a sale, the customer is unlikely to come back for repeat business and they certainly didn’t enjoy the process. If it was an employee, you’ll be lucky if they will be willing to do the bare minimum to survive from then on out.
So how do you persuade and not manipulate?
You have to honestly care about the other person and their wants. You need to care about them, their needs, and their personal goals. It has to be authentic, and you have to understand they don’t view the world in the same way you do. Take the time to ask questions, find out more about them, and above all - don’t be pushy.
On this episode of Results Radio we are joined by Bob Burg, author of the book series The Go Giver. He shares his insights on what it means to have character, and to be a great influencer that people care about and want to help reach their goals.

“In a free market, nobody has to buy from you.” - Bob Burg
Highlights * The amount of money you make is directly correlated with the number of people you affect. * Your adversaries are really your partners in personal growth. * Selling is about determining what someone wants, needs, and desires and helping them obtain it. * Value must come first, money comes naturally after. * You don’t want compliance from your employees, you want commitment. * Ultimately people do things for their goals, not yours. * Your emotions must be your servant, not your master. * Belief is a subjective truth. * We are run by unconsciously programmed beliefs. * People believe other people see the world the same way they do. * Acknowledge other people’s egos. * Acting out of consciousness is VERY important. * Learn to reset your, and other people’s frames. * Communicate with tact and empathy. * + Tact is the language of strength. * Authenticity is so important. * You give someone the “out” right away so they don’t feel the need to take it. * You have to stay true to your values.

“You have no chance for a do over. You have to perform the first time, and you have to do it right.” - Chris Hadfield
One of the biggest things we have to be ready for as entrepreneurs is failure. We are going to go through a lot of it, and it’s the thing that keeps most people from success. It’s not that we don’t aren’t successful because we fail, we aren’t successful because we don’t push through the failures. You have to be mentally ready for things to go south, and really have a plan of action.
You’ll never see what will actually become the problem, otherwise you would have fixed it before hand. Putting your mind in a place to visualize the possibilities of failure will get you in the right mindset to take on whatever is thrown at you, instead of just giving up and calling it quits. That’s the key to surviving in this world, not just in business.
On this episode of Results Radio we are joined by famed astronaut and captain of the International Space Station, Chris Hadfield. Chris tells us all about how he was able to survive and power through problems, even when a space walk went wrong, leaving him blind and and alone in the universe - literally.
“The situation I was faced with was being alone, hanging onto the outside of a spaceship, having lost my sight.”
Highlights * Visualize failure to understand what is likely to fail so you know how to avoid having that failure happen. + This will help you know how you will react when things do go wrong. * Simulate failures with the people who will actually be a part of the process. * How do you prepare for the unexpected? * How can you position yourself so you can still succeed no matter what is thrown at you. * Having a personal dream is very important for your life to progress. * The decisions you make this week are going to determine who you are this weekend. * If you don’t have an overall direction it becomes tough to make short term decisions. * Your dreams need to be a conscious decision and something you need to work toward. * The most powerful experience was being on a space walk, genuinely and truly alone in the universe.
“Visualizing failure is much more productive.” - Chris Hadfield

When people start their own business they often set the wrong goals. They try to make the sale and just worry about getting the money. They try to get every potential customer to like them. They try to make the perfect product then find the customers. These sound like good ideas, but are all recipes for a long term disaster.
When you make a sale you’re only halfway to your goal. You really want to establish a relationship with your customer so they come back for more business. You don’t do this by getting them to like you, but by getting them to trust you. People only buy from people they trust, not necessarily the people they like. Lastly, you really need to find what people really want and then sell it to them instead of trying to force a product on people.
On this episode of Results Radio we are joined by The Sales Whisperer, Wes Schaeffer. Download this episode to to get the tips you need to be a successful entrepreneur and see the long term results you really want.

Highlights * Everything is sales. * Begin with the end in mind. * The best sales people realize the sale is not the true end goal. * You have to deliver a great experience to get repeat customers. * It can take 5 years to master something if you work it full time. * Having coaches is mandatory. * People need to trust you, not like you. * Sell your product before you build it so you know there’s demand. * If you can’t presell it, don’t try to sell it after it’s built. * The job of a salesperson is to prospect. * Your job as an entrepreneur is 90% promotion and 10% product. * Strive to be interested rather than interesting. * If you let other people talk about themselves you’ll seem like the best listener.

Our current situation is a result of choices we make and influence we are around. If you hand out with people making twenty thousand dollars a year, you’ll only ever make twenty thousand dollars a year. You need a support group that makes at least the amount of money you make. We aren’t talking about having one or two rich friends, but you need to have all of your friends be where you want to be.
Having this group of friends will change your mentality almost immediately. You’ll learn to think with a different mindset. You’ll stop thinking about what something costs, and start looking at investment. The broke mentality of a short term price and not the long term investment are what keep you in the poor house.
On this episode of Results Radio we are joined by an amazing entrepreneur and coach you may have seen on ABC’s The Secret Millionaire: James Malinchak. James gives amazing inside information on how anyone can go from a blue collar family to a successful entrepreneur by changing the influences in your life.

Highlights * Don’t try to reinvent the wheel or wing it. * Make decisions from where you want to be, not where you’re currently at. * Who you choose to hang around will have an impact of your situation. * It’s not about working harder or smarter, it’s about working right. * Invest in yourself, don’t focus on the cost - you’ll be stuck in a broke mindset. * Analyze your cost of investments by dividing it over the span of 10 years. * Somebody’s already figured it out, go learn from them. * Coaching vs. Mentoring is a matter of semantics. * When you invest, you take the information you receive more seriously. * There’s never a money problem, it’s a decision problem. * Every time you save money, take the difference and put it away in savings. * Figure out what makes you different than your competitors. * People only buy things to avoid pain or to gain pleasure. * Don’t sell your product, sell the results from your product. * If you knew you were going to die in six months, would you start your project now? If yes, then just start it! * If you focus on the reasons you can’t, you’ll never find the solution for how you can.

Personal branding is a hot topic right now for a variety of reasons. Some people are in it to sell more, some people for the sense of importance that comes from people knowing who you are, and some for a variety of other reasons.
But what holds so many people back when it comes to effectively communicating with your audience, building it, and connecting with it in a strong way, is the bravery required to really be vulnerable and authentic with your following.
As Mr. Kim says, “If you’re holding on to something that you’re scared to share, chances are that sharing it will really connect with your audience.” This is what separates those who are able to turn their personal brand into a powerful force from those you struggle.
Listen to today’s episode to find out more about why personal branding is so valuable in today’s environment, and how to go about building it, all on today’s episode of Results Radio.
“You have to sell people not only on your product/service, but on yourself” - Leonard Kim
Highlights * Failure is part of the journey. It hurts badly in the moment, but it’s an important part of the process * Investing in your personal brand allows you to move from project to project, rather than being tied to one project * It’s important to be viewed as an expert in your field * You have to sell people not only on your product/service, but on yourself * In order to develop a personal brand, you need to tell your backstory, personality, and what you are all about * When you bring in your personality, you're building a bridge between yourself and your audience * Build trust with an audience by putting out content that your audience will want to consume * Engage consistently with an audience to build relationships * Once you admit where you truly are in life, and are authentic and vulnerable, people will come around you and lift you up * If you’re holding on to something that you’re scared to share, chances are that sharing it will really connect with your audience

"If you're sitting there wondering, is now the right time? I'm going to tell you that it is." - Kevin Harrington Act is a verb. It means to move, to make a decision, to exert energy. Acting without a plan might get you into a mess, but always planning and never acting will get you nowhere.
Kevin Harrington is an entrepreneur and internationally successful businessman. He’s the inventor of the infomercial, an Original Shark on Shark Tank, and has launched over 500 products, $5 billion worth of sales on a global scale. He’s the master of knowing when to act.
Kevin and I are talking about creating products that solve problems, the hard work of getting started, and knowing when to start acting on your ideas. He’s sharing how he created the infomercial, and where he gets his motivation from. Remember all those great product ideas you’ve got? Take some time with what Kevin’s got to say and then act!
"Why do we choose to do these things? Because we're entrepreneurs and we're looking for the infinite opportunities" - Kevin Harrington Highlights * Look at where you are in your development and take it a step as a time. * Keep your mind in a position of constant curiosity, you never know when you're going to have a eureka moment. * When you see something that doesn't make sense to you, be open to coming up with a solution and a product. * Act now. Don't tell yourself that someday in the future you'll act on your ideas. * Truly, sincerely believe you can make it happen, vividly imagine it, and then act upon it. * There are multiple forms and degrees of entrepreneurship, depending on how big you want your business to get and how much risk you're willing to take. * Value your time. Make sure that your hard work is paying off enough. * Let the things your want and can't afford motivate you to keep pushing forward. * Be careful of shortcuts. Know what you want but be willing to pay your dues to learn how get there. * The idea is worth 10%. Acting on it is the other 90%. * You need experts to mentor and advise you. Look for people who are the best at what they do and never stop asking them to coach you.

“Negotiation is something you do with your life. You're always negotiating something" - George Ross No one is born a flawless negotiator. It takes practice and experience to know how to approach negotiations so that you’ll get the best result.
My guest today is expert businessman and negotiator and right hand man and senior counsel for the Trump Organization, George Ross. Along with his own business successes, George has written several books about real estate strategies and expert negotiation skills.
Are you uncomfortable negotiating? Unsure when and how to begin negotiations? Even George Ross says it’s learned skill. He’s talking about how to approach negotiations, what to expect from them, how to think about what you’re opponent’s after. He’s also getting into risk management and why it takes some losses to become a winner. You won’t want to miss this.
"What is creative marketing other than good negotiation to get the buyer or the seller to accept what you're trying to buy or sell?" - George Ross Highlights * We’re always negotiating, no matter what we’re doing in life. * Negotiating is getting the best result under the given circumstances. It's a give and take between two parties. * Negotiation is not about what you want. It’s about what the other person wants that maybe you can give them. * Personality is a huge part of negotiating. The more people like and trust you, the more they’ll be willing to work with you. * Don't avoid risk, manage it. Balance risk against reward. * If you're always asking yourself, why didn't I do that? The answer is that you didn't have the courage. * To raise capital, you have to be willing to show investors you're putting yourself and your own assets at risk also. * Going to courses and having coaches is only worth it if you're willing to go do something with the knowledge you've gained. * If you win more than you lose, you’ll come out on top.

"You have a chance to do what's right every time you make a decision. If you ever compromise your integrity you're losing sight of your moral compass.” W. Brett Wilson What does success look like, for you? What are you willing to do to get there? How much are you willing to risk? These are questions that every entrepreneur has to ask themselves eventually.
Brett Wilson is an investor, businessman, philanthropist and best-selling author, but he might be best known for his appearance on CBC television’s Dragons’ Den. Brett’s on this episode to get you to think about how you define success and what you’re willing to do in your pursuit of it.
Brett’s talking about his own experiences starting a business, investing in the community, and writing his new book. He’s sharing what he’s learned to value--in business and in his personal life--and why philanthropy is not just about obligation. This is a must-listen for anyone who wants to be successful and happy.
"Failure, if it's taken in the right context as a learning experience, is one of the most powerful tools we have.” W. Brett Wilson Highlights * People lose track of their moral compass in the single-minded pursuit of wealth. * Stop narrowly focusing on the things instead of the people. * Cultivate a willingness to try. You're going to make mistakes, so don't be afraid when something doesn't work out. * Don't accept the way things are. Try to make today a little better than yesterday. * Tenacity is a virtue, but tenacity taken to an extreme is delusional. * Studying entrepreneurship is planting the seeds and skills so that when the right idea comes, you'll be ready to start growing. * What is your definition of success? What will it cost and how much is enough? What priorities define that definition? * You can always learn more. Look for experts and coaches to give you a competitive edge. * Philanthropy is good for business, not just an obligation. It's a tool to build connections, community, and relationships. * Nurture the lifelong pursuit of learning. Keep studying marketing and entrepreneurship. * Know what makes you different from other companies, and market that directly to your clients.
"We came to discover that what was good for our community was good for us, and we just had to be more strategic." - W. Brett Wilson Resources: Brett’s Website: WBrettWilson.ca

“The entrepreneurial leader is the one with the vision, the one with the dream, the one with the purpose, the one with the mission.” - Michael E. Gerber (click to tweet)
So many small businesses stay small. Not every entrepreneur wants to own a multi-million dollar company, but why is it that so many companies that really want to expand don’t make it?
I’ve got a very special episode for you with Michael Gerber--the legend, the myth, the author of the E-Myth. Michael’s getting into the difference between a business owner and a true entrepreneur, and why only the individual with the entrepreneurial mindset will have the vision to turn their idea into millions. He’s sharing why true growth comes from thinking beyond the next level into an idea that’s bigger than life.
This is a really special opportunity to hear from a true expert, and you don’t want to skip this episode.
"A great company is a visual company, an emotional company, a functional company, and a financial company." - Michael E. Gerber (click to tweet)
Highlights * The people who go start their own business often aren't entrepreneurs, they're “technicians” who want to be their own boss. * True growth and change comes from an entrepreneurial mindset. * Don't just be busy, busy, busy doing the same job over and over again without thinking about growth. * Business begins to become a practice when the founder has to keep hiring people who are already experts and keep repeating the same process. * For most small businesses, growth just feels like more work. * True entrepreneurs and leaders have great big visions they want to make a reality. * A coach will help you get ready for the next big move, the big idea. * The right coach is someone who has come from a higher place than you and will not pander to you. * Don't think about the next level. Pursue the impossible with everything you have. * Have an idea that’s bigger than life and the passion to pursue it with everything you have.
“A coach helps you transcend yourself if you're ever going to transform yourself.” - Michael E. Gerber (click to tweet)
