Jackie and Cindy talk about A Course in Miracles' perspective on being "serious". Let's kick off the new year with some helpful reminders of our true nature as perfect Spirit! Together we are gently and kindly undoing our belief in separation and specialness.
Reminder: "No one asleep and dreaming in the world remembers his attack upon himself. ⁵No one believes there really was a time when he knew nothing of a body, and could never have conceived this world as real. ⁶He would have seen at once that these ideas are one illusion, too ridiculous for anything but to be laughed away. ⁷How serious they now appear to be! ⁸And no one can remember when they would have met with laughter and with disbelief. ⁹We can remember this, if we but look directly at their cause. ¹⁰And we will see the grounds for laughter, not a cause for fear." (ACIM, T-27.VIII.5:4-10)
In 2022, let there be a new you! We'll focus on the "you" that is the dreaming mind; observing and choosing. Let's remember to look at cause and not effect.
It is refreshing to live your holiness by remembering to choose the miracle and forgive instead of holding onto grievances, anger, anxiety, guilt and resentment.

Fear not that you will be abruptly lifted up and hurled into reality. Time is kind, and if you use it on behalf of reality, it will keep gentle pace with you in your transition." Your resurrection is your reawakening. I am the model for rebirth, but rebirth itself is merely the dawning on your mind of what is already in it. God placed it there Himself, and so it is true forever. I believed in it, and therefore accepted it as true for me. Help me to teach it to our brothers in the name of the Kingdom of God, but first believe that it is true for you, or you will teach amiss. My brothers slept during the so-called “agony in the garden,” but I could not be angry with them because I knew I could not be abandoned. (T-6.1.7:1-6)

The concept of reincarnation has meaning only in the dream. Since the Course teaches we never go into a body, how can we incarnate? But since we believe we’re here, is the concept helpful? "If it is used to strengthen the recognition of the eternal nature of life, it is helpful indeed." (M-24.1:4-6) If it is used for the Holy Spirit's purpose of awakening from the dream of separation, and not the "specialness" of the ego, we know it will be helpful indeed.
