Though raised in church, Paul strayed from the God of his childhood and wandered into a life of drugs and alcohol for years. This led him to a life of theft and imprisonment. Then, in 1977, he found Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Later, the Lord led Paul to start a ministry called “We Care”, and “We Care Recovery Home” for women. Today, he leads a life-changing ministry called "One80 Recovery Resources" which is ministering to men, seeking recovery.

Searching and hungering for a family, she became very close to a family that had an unhealthy family secret, a secret that she would sadly come to know. After two years of sexual abuse, Krisin't life continued to spiral downward and further abuse would become part of her heartbreaking story. Trying to numb all the pain in her life, she plunged into a life of drugs and alcohol. Thankfully, Kristin came to know Christ and his transforming power at work in her life. Jimmy Keaton shares his battle with cancer that began on a Sunday morning in January of 2020 when he was suddenly impacted with incredible pain that seized him. It was so severe, that his legs would hardly hold him up. Unknown to him, the membrane around one of his kidneys had burst due to a cancerous tumor that had infiltrated his kidney. During the early days of intense pain, he felt the Lord impress upon him that he was going to be a suffering servant, but he would continue to serve, and that he would discover God's strength would be made perfect in his weakness. He now has only two-thirds of one kidney left, Jimmy and his wife, Susan, continue to serve, experiencing God's grace and power in a remarkable way.

In 2011, Wendy Wallace contracted necrotizing fasciitis which put her in a coma. As the disease progressed, both her hands and feet had to be amputated in order to save her life. As a quadruple amputee, Wendy's life as a wife and mother would never be the same. But life was far from over for Wendy! However, the sincere Christian faith of their godly grandparents, their dear mother, and a faithful Sunday School teacher overshadowed all the disappointment and heartache and had a powerful influence in shaping their lives. Emily Jones was invited to travel to Iraq, serving as an outside consultant for Samaritan's Purse. Along with others, she assisted in developing a mental health program to serve trauma survivors in the country of Iraq.
