"Victoria is a native of Philadelphia and currently resides in Royersford, Pa. Her career spans over 23 years as a pediatric nurse and 19 years as a certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She is a certified school nurse in the Boyertown Area School District. As an entrepreneur, she owns Salubrious Living, a company that provides CPR, first aid and AED instruction to healthcare professionals and the community. Victoria is also a minister of the Gospel and is an associate minister at the Grace Baptist Church of Germantown. She is also the mother of 7-year old Joshua. Her favorite scripture is Matthew 17:20, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

He has been married seven years to his loving wife Rebecca Dugan, a longtime VBS/Sunday school teacher and art teacher currently working on her M.Ed. Together they serve as musicians at Grace Church of Philly. They live in Philadelphia, PA."

Kayla Peters was diagnosed at 10 years old with being on the Autism Spectrum. Kayla is currently 20 years old. "Ethan A. Poetic is a native of Coatesville, Pa, and moved to Lancaster, Pa in the middle of his eighth-grade year. On Saturday March 19th, 2011, He was involved in a serious near-fatal car accident with a tractor-trailer 18-wheeler. The near-death experience location was Lincoln Highway East (Route 30) in Paradise Township, Pa. Ethan's injuries included a fractured collarbone, sprain wrist, a concussion, & a ruptured aorta artery.
He was facing a mathematical equation of 99% of death vs 1% of life with a high-risk surgery at Lancaster General Hospital. Several days later Ethan woke up and was declared a walking living miracle. His long road to recovery was at Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital for speech, physical, occupational therapy, & being on a feeding tube.
Ethan graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School, Harrisburg Area Community College with an associate degree, & Millersville University with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications minor broadcasting & media. Shun working in the Imaging Department of the Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Both are dedicated in doing what’s pleasing to GOD. We also have two businesses, Images of Art Photography and Stich N Sew Embroidery LLC. In February 2023, their world as they knew it changed drastically. Art was diagnosed with stage 3 Squamous Cell Carcinomas of the Head & Neck (Cancer). The Cancer was in his lymph nodes, tonsils, tongue and behind the nasal cavity. The TORS (Trans Oral Robotic Surgeon) Advised us that surgery would not be an option because of where the cancer was located. BUT WATCH GOD!!! Their plan was to administer chemotherapy and radiation shrink the cancer, then surgically remove the remaining. Art underwent 38 radiation treatments and 7 rounds of chemo in a 7-week span. Then a cat-scan, which showed NO CANCER."

Michael is the youngest male of 9 siblings (5 boys and 4 girls). I graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1978. I attended Baltimore City Community College, majoring in Computer Science.
November 16, 1980, I entered on duty with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I was trained by the Bureau in various elements of operations. I was promoted through the ranks to Middle-Level Management. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the West Virginia Satellite Operations in Fairmont, West Virginia. I retired from Violent Crimes Against Children Division with 371/2 years of service with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Currently, I am the Area Manager for Safeguard Maintenance Corp. managing 60 people with secure clearances at the NSA facilities.
I was also a member of the Maryland Army National Guard from 1981 to 1984.
A former member of MWPHGL of West Virginia where I served as Most Worshipful Grand Master for 2 years. Currently, I am a member of King David #18 Lodge of Maryland Jurisdiction .
Bessie born 5/22/1955, in the city of Philadelphia PA to the late Wilbert Jackson and Cleo Brooks. Attended the Philadelphia Public School System. Graduated from Kensington High School, attended Palmer Seminary received a certificate in Christian Studies and attended Lincoln University majoring in Human Services. A Workforce Development Specialist with 20 plus years in the field assisting Veterans and their families, individuals who are unemployed, underemployed, disabled, disadvantaged and returning citizens with employment and training opportunities.
We are happily married with five years under our belt and counting.
We have two sons; James and Robin, Jr., four daughters; Tujuanna, Dawn, Quiana, Gisela, two sons-in-laws; Eddie Scott, and Estevan Johnson, two daughters-in-laws; Renee and Erica, nine grandchildren and six great-grandsons. I have also been a foster parent to thirty-five foster children.

Profession- James Reid spent 23 years in retail sales before becoming a full-time pastor. Schooling–Pastor James Reid is trained as an Ordained Elder in the United Holy Church of America as well as a Licensed Elder in the International Fellowship of Pastors and Ministers for 10 years. How I serve–by conducting Weekly Prayer Meetings and yearly conferences, coaching couples before, during and after marriage especially at marriage retreats and one-on-one sessions. Retired from 28 years of pastoring."
Brother Galvin Danzy's bio in his own words. "Galvin Danzy has been saved and a member of Grace Tabercle Church since the age of 13. At the age of 16, he was in the Jr. Deacon program where he trained to become a deacon but at the age of 21, he decided to join the military at which time he strayed away from God's calling on his life. When he returned from the military, he was lost but after he struggled with depression and anxiety, it led him to going back to Christ to seek healing because it effected his relationships with his wife and children. He is now an Army veteran, in seminary school as well as a leader in the church, married with 3 children and he and his wife are diligently building God's Kingdom by focusing on God's Principles."

George is a God-fearing man and he believes that without God in his life all of this would not be possible. He also believes in iron sharpening iron. George's favorite Scripture is Matthew 6:33 and Romans 4:17.
In addition to boy scouting, George completed study at the Christian Development Research Institution and obtained a Certificate in Biblical Counseling. George also holds a Certificate in the 12 Steps of Recovery Program.

Paul and I will soon celebrate 54 years of marriage. We have 3 adult children and 2 granddaughters. We have been members of First Baptist Church of Bartlesville for 40 years where I serve as church pianist and accompanist for our sanctuary choir.
After years of “working hard” for the Lord apart from a growing and thriving relationship with Him, God brought a devastating event into my life 14 years ago which resulted in an act of my absolute surrender to Him.
My youngest daughter, Laura, transitioned to and lived as a man for almost 10 years.
Praise the Lord, He was faithful to use this traumatic event to bring me to the end of myself where I found His victory and peace even in the depths of this dark valley.
He has given me the privilege of teaching His Word for the past 12 years to a group of women which has grown from a small group of 12 to a group of about 140 women. Terry and his lovely wife Carol are members of Christ Fellowship Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. There they serve in the Married Peoples Ministry. Terry & Carol also serve together as Leaders in the Prep for Marriage classes; are Leaders/Facilitators for ReEngage (a 16-week Marriage Enrichment Group); and are Leaders/Instructors for the Blended Families Ministry. Before moving to Florida, Terry & Carol were members of Calvary Church in Naperville, Illinois. There they also served in the Couples Ministry. They served together as Marriage Mentors to pre-married couples; Married Couples Small Group Leaders; Developers and Instructors of course curriculum for Blended Families (Stepfamilies); and Executive Directors of the Blended Families Ministry which they birthed. Terry and Carol are Certified Marriage Mentors in association with the American Association of Christian Counselors, and Certified SYMBIS Facilitators through Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott Ministries. Terry & Carol also help build healthy marital relationships through One Flesh Ministries, a marriage relationship building ministry in which they are Founders and Executive Officers. She also has her own Catering Company lovingly called, “Carol’s Kitchen” Terry and Carol enjoy traveling together and relaxing at home when given the opportunity. Andrew L. Gardner III (Certified Anger Management and Domestic Violence Prevention Specialist; Associate of Arts in Communication, Theatre and the Arts) is Founder and President of the innovative nonprofit organization Brothers Like Me. Since Fall of 2020, through the organization, Andrew has presented interdisciplinary workshops where he teaches solutions for men who struggle with self-regulation and de-escalation. Andrew helps reduce intimate partner violence by building up men who learn accountability and empathy in hands-on workshops and courses for various audiences.
Andrew has been invited to lead discussions with adjudicated youth, military college cadets, church groups and domestic violence survivors. He is an effective speaker who shares about his struggle to become an instructor and advocate. After witnessing domestic violence growing up, he successfully re-framed and changed habits that led him to have difficult relationships himself. The most innovative aspect of "Brothers Like Me," is Andrew’s use of self-made video dramatizations of difficult conversations between intimate partners; in conjunction with practice using alternative and corrective solutions, as well as constructive de-escalation behaviors.
Between October 2020 to present day, Andrew has trained upwards of 150 men and women on how to manage themselves and grow empathy for partners and family members. Especially remarkable is his ability to talk from experience about ways to accept accountability, ask for forgiveness, and take deliberate steps to build back trust amongst friends and loved ones. Andrew likes to use drama and improv in conjunction with communication, breakdown case studies, and teach workshop participants to see themselves in video dramatizations, where couples argue, then manage to de-escalate and prevent violent conflict. Andrew is available for speaking engagements, consultation, and workshops.

My journey began in North Philadelphia where I attended Stokely Elementary school briefly before moving to Germantown/WestOaklane where I attended Emlen Elementary, Roosevelt Middle School, Dobbins and MLKing High Schools. After high school I attended Chestnut Hill College where I received a BA in Political Science and Communications and Arcadia University. My career as a Paralegal and Contracts professional spans for over 36 years where I have been blessed to have worked for some of the most prestigious companies(Schnader, Harrison, Segal and Lewis, the United States Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia and Washington DC, Johnson and Johnson where I had the opportunity to travel to the Netherlands (Amsterdam) and Belgium, and currently Temple University where I review and negotiate contracts for Clinical Research. Although I love what I do, it is not who I am. My relationship with God and my spiritual discernment allows me to connect with people on a deep level. My life experiences include living with Fibromyalgia, overcoming domestic violence, battling an addiction to pornography, surviving depression and suicide and recently losing my daughter in a tragic car accident and losing my mother in the same year is who I am and I am prepared to use these experiences to help people to discover purpose through their pain. Creating the Mackenzie T. Angel Foundation in memory of my daughter Tyler has propelled my purpose and I am finally walking in the calling that God has laid before me. Over the past 20 years, Sherry has worked in a variety of medical settings from the Emergency Room to Corporate Employee Health and Wellness and currently Community Health Nursing. After receiving the news that she was pre-diabetic, Sherry lost over 50 pounds through diet and lifestyle modifications and was able to reverse the damage to her body and restore her health. By the grace of God, Sherry has overcome many health challenges and has developed a great passion in helping to facilitate health and healing to the person struggling with health issues caused by food binges, overeating and body image challenges. Sherry strongly believes that the Word of God is the foundation to being healthy and healed. Sherry attends True Foundation Apostolic Ministries in Clinton, Maryland where she serves as the Health and Wellness Coordinator of her church. Sherry enjoys educating men and women in her various workshops such as, Healing the Immune System, Improving Body Image, and Obtaining the Keys to Healthy Living. Sherry empowers her audience to live as God has intended through her Eat to Live cooking demonstrations where she prepares and show how healthy eating can be fulfilling and delicious. While attending STVU, Rev. Gerow received a certificate in Congregational Pastoral Care from the Virginia Institute of Pastoral Care, Inc. In 2013, she completed a certificate program in Theology at the Princeton Theological Seminary. While in the process of certificate completion, she was the first student to become a mentor to the following cohort members. Most recently, Rev. The first married couple featured in this episode is Brother Walter & Sister Tawana Sabbath, Ph.D. “We met while Walter was a student at Antioch University Philadelphia. He was a student of my good friend who invited me to help her class to brainstorm for a major project. What I didn't know was that Walter who was coming out of a broken marriage had prayed for a woman in his life that didn't have to love him but could grow to love him. When he saw me, he knew that I was the answer to his prayer. He actually told three female classmates that I would be his next wife. At our wedding three years later those same women told me how ridiculous they told Walter was. He says, ‘I gave God a list of 12 things I wanted in a wife. After we were married I took stock and found that He had given a baker's dozen or 13.’" Brother Walter & Sister Tawana Sabbath, Ph.D. have not only been partners in marriage for thirty-five years but they continue to serve/work together as the co-owners of their business the Walter E. Sabbath, Jr. Funeral Service, www.sabbathcare.com, that has been in business for twenty-eight years.

The first married couple featured in this episode is Brother Walter & Sister Tawana Sabbath, Ph.D. “We met while Walter was a student at Antioch University Philadelphia. He was a student of my good friend who invited me to help her class to brainstorm for a major project. What I didn't know was that Walter who was coming out of a broken marriage had prayed for a woman in his life that didn't have to love him but could grow to love him. When he saw me, he knew that I was the answer to his prayer. He actually told three female classmates that I would be his next wife. At our wedding three years later those same women told me how ridiculous they told Walter was. He says, ‘I gave God a list of 12 things I wanted in a wife. After we were married I took stock and found that He had given a baker's dozen or 13.’" Brother Walter & Sister Tawana Sabbath, Ph.D. have not only been partners in marriage for thirty-five years but they continue to serve/work together as the co-owners of their business the Walter E. Sabbath, Jr. Funeral Service, www.sabbathcare.com, that has been in business for twenty-eight years.

Davita obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, a Master of Business Education, and a Master’s degree in Higher Education She has worked as an IT Professional for 22 years in both the Finance and Healthcare Industries. Her career began as a Programmer Analyst then switched to the Quality Assurance Analyst role which allowed her to give input and review documentation to ensure things are working as designed and client data is accurate.
For Davita, life is a stage. She loves to have fun and make others smile on both the inside and outside. She also enjoys helping others which is evident through participation in events with her local chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

God’s Amazing Grace
I was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania at Temple University Hospital on July 28, 1957. I grew up in North Philadelphia with both my parents. I was the oldest of 6 children with my mother, in all, I am the oldest female of 14 siblings. I attended the Philadelphia school system. I never experience being hungry, being without clothing, or not having a place to live. It was by God’s amazing grace. I loved going to church, and I was filled with the Holy Ghost at a young age. By the age 14, I stopped going to church and it seemed that is when the devil pounce upon me. I became adventurous, promiscuous, curious about life, I was smart, independent, but gullible, naive, always making the wrong choices in life. I had my first two sons out of wedlock, and my youngest son was born on my first-year anniversary. I was 23 years old. I was successful in school obtaining my first Associates degree. I purchased my first home, working two jobs, caring for three sons and all that came with.
My lifestyle enhanced with the drinking of alcohol experimenting drugs and hanging out on weekends. I was emotionally fearful of this lifestyle because of intimidations, controlling, and not realizing it was the beginnings of an addiction. I tried to slow down this lifestyle. I stopped participating in routines during weekdays, socializing only on weekends, going back to church with my sons on Sundays, and giving my family the attention, they needed. But, still doing things “Renee’s way.” March 1987, I experienced the trauma of my middle son being killed in a car accident, he was 9 years old. It seemed like my life had ended too, and instead of turning to the God I thought I knew so well, family, or other supports, I turned to and I lived a life of drug addiction for 10 years.
Now let me talk about my healing and rebuilding. Praise God I went back to work after 10 years of addiction. Through that whole time, God never left me, nor forsaken me. I have been clean and sober for over 23 years to date. Through this time, life continued to happen. With more trials, tribulations, and triumphs. By the grace of God, all my children are doing well. I am blessed with a total of 23 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Through this time, I continued to fellowship and study the word of God at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, since 2007. Doing various ministries. I also achieved my associates, bachelors, master’s, and PhD Degrees. God opened doors, and the place where I started my healing, 1997, Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard, is where I have started a career working as a counselor, and an Adjunct Professor at Alvernia University for the past 7 years.
I am 63 years old, and guest what, I know God is not through with me yet. He is about to open another door and its about to blow my mind and yours. The Word says in Philippians 1:6 “For I am confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." It is by God’s Amazing Grace I am here today; it is all for His Glory.

Ira and Tamekia Young met in 1994, during their undergraduate studies at West Chester University. They maintained a close friendship throughout their undergraduate and graduate studies, but did not start dating until 2003. Ira and Tamekia were united in holy matrimony on June 11, 2005. They have three sons and two granddaughters. Ira is a Public Health Education Navigator and Tamekia is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Ira and Tamekia Young met in 1994, during their undergraduate studies at West Chester University. They maintained a close friendship throughout their undergraduate and graduate studies, but did not start dating until 2003. Ira and Tamekia were united in holy matrimony on June 11, 2005. They have three sons and two granddaughters. Ira is a Public Health Education Navigator and Tamekia is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Tamekia is also the founder of Imani Counseling, Education, and Supervision, LLC. (@ImaniCounseling215) and Infinite Life Growth, LLC. Ira and Tamekia enjoy traveling, and aspire to visit every state in the United States."

Check out the preview with our guest Sister Benika who shared, "some of the ways she was impacted by having an incarcerated parent during most of her childhood which led her to make some decisions that caused her to drop out of school in the 7th grade and be a teen mom due to having a lack of guidance. She reflected on looking back over the years even though she experienced a lot of pain & hurt. She expressed that God brought her to a place of healing that has been a journey...This led her to major in the area of social work since she wanted to be a part of the solution by helping individuals returning home from being incarcerated due to some of the negative stereotypes from some people in our society who look down on returning citizens or those incarcerated. Additionally, sister Benika expressed she sees them differently, she sees God doing greatness in people and that people can change because she's a witness to what God has done in her..."

Brother Tate shared some of his story, "as an overweight child, being overweight in college, then being impacted by an injury in 2007 that caused him to be immobile which contributed to him having a significant weight increase...He shared that he re-dedicated his life to Christ in 2010...after he rededicated his life to Jesus Christ in 2010 he expressed, God, revealed to him that it wasn't the food he couldn't live without it was God he couldn't live without. Additionally, he stated, I learned that I needed to lean on Jesus & not food so in January 2010 he stated that he weighed 415 pounds and by January 2011 he weighed 205 pounds which he expressed was naturally accomplished without any surgery, pills, shakes, or fads..."

We actually met on an Internet dating site called Black People Meet. Jenise and I were both previously married, and both of us have children from our former spouses. Brother Leon Hazzard was born in a small town and he belongs to a large family. Before he became saved, he made some bad choices in his life that caused him to be incarcerated and a returning citizen. He realized being incarcerated saved his life. He learned what worked for him as a returning citizen that allowed him to finally stop the cycle of his season of getting incarcerated. He made the best decision in his life three years ago by receiving Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Brother Leon is married and he has six children who range in age from their pre-teens to their early twenties. He currently serves actively in the church where he is a member. He continues to make an honest and decent living by working hard as a driver to provide for his family. He continues to be a great inspiration to many people in his community as well as whoever the Lord allows him to meet. His family and friends continue to be proud of the man he is continuing to grow and become that not only is a blessing to others but continues to bring glory to God!
