We're back! After a lengthy vacation, The Five Dollar Bin Podcast has returned. First up, we tackle part one of what we all watched during the last year of the pandemic.
It's been a while, but we're back with a vengeance...or maybe it's just a Death Wish (see what I did there). In this episode, the gang dives into their lack of the Death Wish cinematic universe and also wonder where Bruce Willis and Elizabeth Shue's careers go from here.

This week, we kick off our annual "Tripping Our Way Up The Oscars." Our first movie is 2016's "Magnificent Seven" starring Denzel, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke. We talk about the present state of the western genre and also what makes this movie work.
This week, we finally release our review of "The Last Jedi." We thought that letting it simmer for a month and thinking about it would make it better...it doesn't.
It's that time again! Time to hand out some awards for the best and worst movies and performances of 2017! As always, we miss a few movies here and there, but we aim to see as many of the "top grossing" and "lowest rated" movies of the year.

In honor of Wonder Woman doing well at the box office, we present to you the DC Universe's previous offering...Suicide Squad. Depending on who you ask, this movie was either good or really bad...it also may depend on how many cocktails you had prior to the question. We'll try not to trip on the bar that Batman V Superman laid out for us.
This week, we kick off a series of comic book movies. First up, we'll summon a demon from another demention and have him fight other demons that look like rejected ideas from Pan's Labyrinth. It's Hellboy directed by Guillermo del Toro so you know it's gonna be all kinds of weird.
We finish up the "madness" with "Glory Road." It's a story about sports and race. It's a lot like "Remember the Titans" or "The Blind Side" only...it's not very good and it came out immediately after a similar movie called "Coach Carter." Basically, this movie didn't really get a chance, but this week, we'll give it it's 15 minutes of fame as we review 2006's "Glory Road."
This week, we review "Hoovey." That's "Hoovey" not "Hoosiers." If you've never heard of the movie, you're among the VAST majority. But, if you've searched "basketball" on Netflix, this one seems to pop up for some reason. We sat through this one and weren't happy about it, but we can blame Amber. Erik is in the clear...at least for this episode.
This week, we tackle a listener request! We love our listeners so, we're happy to take on this challenge! In this episode, the gang watched 1999's "Mystery Men." If you are really annoyed by the Smash Mouth song "All Star," this movie is the patient zero for that one hit wonder. Enjoy!
This week we wrap up our Pauly Shore mini-marathon with "Son-In-Law." After "Encino Man," the bar was set so high for this movie, Pauly tripped over it. Dianey was hoping they hitched their wagon to the right train, but that Pauly Shore train quickly derailed and this movie can be seen regularly on CMT. Why? Because...farms? Enjoy!
This week, we kick off a Pauly Shore mini marathon. First off, we'll take on his debut in "Encino Man." Pauly may not be your favorite actor, but he IS an award winning actor...granted that award is a Razzie, but that's a Razzie more than you have. Enjoy!

We watched the the third film in the franchise (There's a fourth so stay tuned next Christmas) that no one has seen, unless you accidentally bought the combo pack at your local big box store. This week, we wrap up our month of cinematic presidents with Air Force One. Harrison Ford has had some pretty iconic roles and memorable dialogue, but "Get off my plane" ranks pretty high on any list of memorable movie quotes. We also kick around our favorite on screen presidents. There are so many to choose from, there's sure to be some debate!

This week, the gang tackles the fifth sequel in the Tremors franchise. We wanted to do a "scary" movie to kick off this years Halloween Spook-tacular. We chose this movie and it ended up just being horrifyingly...bad. Just listen, you'll see.
Why? Why on earth would we do this movie?!?!?! Oh yeah...Erik... Well, it's our Charlie's Angels episode. Do you like women in skimpy outfits defying gravity and performing kung fu moves only seen in video games? For the two people into that...THIS is your film. For the rest of you, we review this money grab from the year 2000. Oh and remember when Tom Green was a "thing?" This movie is evidence of his 15 minutes of fame.
We're back from our summer vacation! I know you missed us! We're kicking off our 3rd season with a special month of movies that set the women liberation movement back about 100 years. Keep in mind, this was Amber's idea. We start off with Catwoman; a movie about Halley Berry fighting crime in a tight leather jumpsuit. This movie has no plot, terrible acting and no basic premise for existing other than the tight leather jumpsuit. Enjoy listening to us rip it a part!
We were going to take all of August off before kicking off a new season, but decided to throw in an episode from our "archives." We recorded this over 2 years ago, LONG before we went live. After a month of Superhero movies, we decided to do a children's movie. I should say...a "children's movie." See what I did there with the "quotes?" How on earth this passes for a "children's movie" I'll never know. But, that's how it was marketed...a movie for kid's! Tell you what, you watch it and you decide. Better yet, DON'T watch it and just listen to our review of "Kangaroo Jack."
This week, we wrap up Superhero Month in a pretty bow...with an ugly movie. This would be the movie that took two films to undo...TWO!!! With the release of the new X-Men film, we thought we should look back on this horrible excuse for a movie that almost killed a franchise. Why watch a good X-Men movie when you can watch a bad one?
This week, we find ourselves in the middle of "Superhero Month" and in the clutches of serial $5 Bin actor Nick Cage. It was this or the original Ghost Rider. We figured that we go with the movie that allowed him to be more "Nick Cage-ier" than the original. We feel we made the right choice! "High Praise!"
This week, we kick off "Superhero Month" with a movie that never saw a theater, but has seen a lot of play on YouTube. We're watching the unreleased 1990 version of Captain America. What is with us and "unreleased" movies.
We're headed back to the genre of "Rom-Com's" and wound up with a JLo flick. It's her first appearance on the podcast and most likely won't be her last. The best thing this movie has going for it is that it's not titled "Gili." So...there's that... Enjoy!
This week, we review first time offender Val Kilmer and second time offender Elizabeth Shue's political action movie "The Saint." Do you like a lot of action? Do you like a lot of intrigue? Do you appreciate Val Kilmer's acting range? Well, you won't find it in this movie, but you will find a lot of talk about "cold fusion"...whatever that is...
We got more than a few requests to cover Netflix's "Fuller House," so here it is! We couldn't get Erik to watch every episode, but I'm sure he'll be happy to know that it's what they are currently showing on a continuous loop to the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.
Why God?!?!? Why are we doing this movie?!?!? I blame Erik...we all blame Erik. That being said, because it's a horrible movie, you'd better believe we'll have a lot to say about it! Also, they are making three more of these...THREE!!!! Unfortunately, this probably one be the last one in this franchise that we cover. So, buckle up and hang on! We're doing 2 Fast 2 Furious!
We're going back to our high school days to a movie that...defined a generation? Probably not, but we remember seeing this movie. Some of us actually paid our hard earned paper route money to take a date to see this. Find out who in this weeks episode...it's most likely Erik...
