I was so excited to apply to become an Apple Distinguished Educator. I got to work on a creative intro to my 2 minute video application. Turns out, teachers from Bangladesh are not allowed to apply. So sad!

Taylor Mali is the special guest of this episode of Leon Says. He is a professional poet and has won the U.S. National Poetry Slam four times. Known for being a great poet and performer, he is also an excellent teacher. It was such a privilege to get to know him a little bit, see him perform and teach, and to be inspired by him. A more engaging, interesting and gregarious individual I’ve not met. What a treat it has been to spend time with Taylor. I hope you enjoy this little interview with him.
