Have you ever wondered how those who witnessed Christ's crucifixion on Friday must have felt between that evening and the resurrection on Sunday? Join me on this new episode to hear a few of my thoughts.
In the previous episode we spoke about obedience and how complete obedience consists of three parts: listening, doing and staying faithful. Now on todays episode we're continuing the conversation. Joining me on this episode is a very special guest Ashley BA Music. Together we delve into the topic of obedience and how it can be linked faith. In this episode we discuss issues such as doubt, grief, stumbling blocks to obedience, learning how to redefine your faith after experience tough situations, hearing the voice of God and so much more.
Ashley BA Music is a UK based Christian singer and song-writer. Growing-up, Ashley was heavily influenced by her mother’s love for singing and music.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On the hunt to take her voice beyond the four walls of the church, Ashley found herself singing in various bands including MOBO nominated "Desire to Worship God (DTWG)" and Manchester-based "Simply Vessels".
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ashley made the leap to break out as a solo artist, emerging onto the UK Gospel scene in 2018 with her debut single “Still God”. She has since won the 2019 Christian Talent Award for “best singer”, where she was also nominated for “best solo artist”.
In a generation that wears hyper-productivity as a badge of honour. In a society where it now seems odd not to have 10345 side hustles - can God still find people who can stay faithful to that ONE thing He has called them to do. In this episode, I discuss what it means to walk in complete obedience and the steps to completing whatever project you start this year.
In today's episode, the last of 2019, I share on how the Lord has really teaching about the importance of rest. Not only rest, but resting in Him. We live in society that wears stress and burnout as a badge of honour. We live in a society that values doing everything and anything all the time over actually enjoying everyday life. But as we go into 2020, why don't we dare to be different. Let us vow to loosen our grip over our lives and make resting in God a priority.
Thank you all so much for your love and support this year, I really appreciate every single one you.
Be Blessed and I hope you enjoy today's episode

We have officially come to the end of our relationship series: Hope and Singleness. It has been a wonderful time with the fantastic Tumininu Olaoshun and if your feedback is anything to go by I am sure you all have been blessed.
Throughout this series we have explored topics relating to contentment, shooting your shot, bad dating decisions, loneliness, battling impure thoughts, overcoming feelings of being overlooked, feelings of entitlement and so much more. On this episode, we conclude with the point that we should learn how to cultivate hopefulness in all areas of our lives. As we cannot be content and hopeful in our singleness if we have not learned to be satisfied with everything else going on in our lives. God is faithful and is able to do everything He has promised us and more, but how patient are you to wait? How patient are we to wait in joyful hope and expectation?

One of the most vital and crucial things that you must first of all understand in the kingdom of God is how to understand your times and your seasons with the Lord. Understanding
your times and seasons will help prevent you from making a lot of mistakes in the future. It will also help prevent you from making wrong turns and unwise decisions in your life. If you
understand the season, you will know if it is the right time for you to make a move.
But what do you do when you start to feel as if you have been stuck in the same season for way too long?

Hey Guys!
The "New Year, Same Me" series continues ... this episode, we're discussing Persistence!
One of the elements that ought to be present in the Christian lifestyle is persistence. It means to continue in the cause, to remain, to endure. A Christian must develop the ability to keep on keeping on even in the midst of adversity. A good beginning is great, the big splash is great, the spectacular plunge is great; but in the end, the battle is won by those with the persistence to continue. Almost anyone can start something; not everyone has the faith to see it through.
Core Scripture: "I tell you that He will defend and avenge them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [this kind of persistent] faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8

Hey Guys!
The "New Year, Same Me" series continues ... this episode, we're discussing all things CONSISTENCY!
Have you ever wondered how some people are able to achieve massive amounts of success in whatever they do, while others work just as hard but achieve very little? It could be said that those who achieve high levels of success are simply more intelligent, or maybe more ambitious, or maybe more persistent, or possibly just luckier than the people in the second group. These are of course all key factors that certainly can help people achieve their goals. However, there is just one ingredient that goes into success that is more important than anything else. And that ingredient comes in the form of consistency.
Core Scripture:
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58

To acheive our goals this year and in life, we have to adjust our level of commitment and give our full attention to everything we believe God has called us to do. Diligence cannot be a sideline issue. Your God given goals must have your full consideration, your undivided attention, and your mental and spiritual concentration.
Hey Guys!
This week I'm joined by a very good friend of mine, Bukunmi. Over the next 3 episodes, we'll be talking about people pleasing and how it influences our identity. We'll also be sharing our experiences of people pleasing and our tips on overcoming people pleasing.
Core Scripture: Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10

Top Tips for getting over Trust Issues
1.Endurance: God sees the pain and suffering we experience due to how people have betrayed our trust. God sees. But he expects us to endure these situations and come out strong. If we pray and ask Him for help, God gives us the strength to overcome the hurts of broken trust.
3.Forgive: Forgiveness helps us to let go of the wounds and pain. We may be tempted to hold a grudge and seek revenge, but retaliating will hurt us more in the long run than hurt them.
4.Talk about it: If you think you’ve forgiven someone and then someone mentions their name but you immediately feel angry, you’ve probably not forgiven them and you need to talk about it. The day you’re able to genuinely hold a conversation with them- that’s when you’ve made progress. Without this step, you’ll just be stuck in resentment, unforgiveness and bitterness.
5.Take your time: It takes some time to rebuild trust and re-establish a relationship, even the Bible says that someone who has been offended is harder to win than a strong city (Proverbs 18:19). Make sure you love the person with love that God has extended towards you because that actually helps us to get through the pain.
Pray for them: The Bible tells us in Matthew 5:44 to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us. When you are able to pray for someone who has hurt you, you can face anything. It won’t come easily but through the help of the Holy Spirit our comforter, we will eventually be able to do it.
Guard your heart: Proverbs 4:23 encourages us to guard our heart because every we do is a result of what is in our heart.
E.g. Bitterness in our hearts = Hostile relationships
The Father formed you and created you in his image and likeness for his pleasure. When you sinned and rebelled against him, he sent his Son to die for you. After this, he sent his Spirit to live in you. To crown it all, he calls you his child. With all of this, are you surprised that someone, somewhere hates you.
Have you ever wondered why God doesn’t just immediately take us to Heaven the moment we accept his grace? Why does he leave us in a fallen world? He leaves us here to fulfill his purposes. Once you are saved, God intends to use you for his goals. God has a ministry for you in his Church and a mission for you in the world.
Deep down, we all long to be accepted and pursued. This longing is also accompanied by a deep sense of rejection when we feel as if we don’t fit in or seem to be forgotten
But we have this one hope, in spite of our feelings of rejection, there is a hope that If you have accepted Christ as your Savior you are a part of a royal priesthood. In Christ. You have been accepted — chosen —picked first by the God that created the universe and holds it all in place.
On this episode, we discussed all things surrounding the love of God towards us and how this influences or affects our identity.
Six useful steps for when you're struggling to accept God's love
On this episode, we discussed the topic of forgiveness. We covered topics such as receiving and accepting forgiveness from God, dealing with guilt and shame, whether there is such a thing as forgiving yourself and whether God can still forgive someone who commits the same sin over and over again.
