David Ponziano | Penrose Records | Halley Club
Incisive and breathtaking, David Ponziano is a Madrilenian artist, who radiates personality inside and outside the DJ booth. This is precisely his trump card, the one that gives him the winning hand in his moves. He has the club in his veins, many hours of experience behind him, a wide vision and few prejudices. These virtues make it hard to resist his musical assaults and the public in his habitual residences, at parties such as Replay, Reclub or Motel, is well aware of that. His sessions are constructive, formed by musical lines that diversify and combine to build a union of sounds that can range between disco, house, deep, techno or acid, without losing coherence within the musical discourse. He is definitely an old school DJ, one of those who knows what he is doing and enjoys dancing and feeling the beat. The preamble of his relationship with electronic music comes from the mid-90s, when the last gasps of EBM and new wave conquered his heart to the rhythm of sharp bases, aggressive guitars and rough synths. From those days to the present time the paths have been many and diverse, reaching their peak and acquiring sense in the mid-2000s, when he began to release his first music publications under the pseudonym Play The Game. In the meantime, he studies sound engineering and launches his own mixing and mastering studio, Peak Studio. Nowadays and after several and successful adventures as a promoter in other brands like MOTEL, he is running his own club: HALLEY. His career as DJ and producer is acquiring greater dimensions day by day with releases on labels like Alma Soul Music, Lust Recordings, Cuatro Records or Parallel, as well as with remixes for artists like Alexi Delano, Matthias Vogt (Motorcitysoul), Julian Sanza or Boghosian & Torquato and with his active residences in Replay and Reclub. In brief, the last four years have been very intense, enabling him to be positioned as one of the most active and popular artists in Madrid's underground scene.

The spanish producer is in full shape as he shows in his fiery take on “Plaster”. A faster, hypnotic and acidic version ready to kill any dance floor.

Desde hace años Mario G. Quelart viene desarrollando y demostrando su talento y savoir faire detrás de las cabinas de los principales clubes y festivales españoles. Siempre lo hace bajo el nombre de Lucient, o casi siempre, ya que a veces se une a Albert Salinas (alias Wooky) para formar el dúo de DJ C.E.E. Shepherds, que estuvieron presentes en la edición 2018 de Sónar de Noche.

Two Ex es el dúo formado por Adriana y Rosa, una performance en formato back-to-back donde cada una explota sus gustos a la vez que conecta de una forma completamente orgánica con la otra. En su maleta solemos encontrar downtempo, acid, dark disco, breakbeat y house noventero y sus sets pueden asemejarse a un viaje espacial con toques hipnóticos llenos de energía y buenrrolliso.
Comet 021 con @davidponziano, dos horas grabadas en directo en Halley en las que el artista nos muestra un abanico sonoro orientado a la escucha y al baile mental.
David Ponziano es la principal mente detrás del proyecto Halley y un auténtico DJ de la vieja escuela. Sus sesiones son constructivas, formadas por líneas musicales que se diversifican y combinan para formar una unión de sonidos que nunca pierde la coherencia en el discurso.
Comet 020 con @architectural-1, tres horas de elegancia musical grabadas en riguroso directo en Halley en las que Juan Rico, también conocido por su otros alter-ego Reeko y Selección Natural, da rienda suelta a su creatividad y explora su vertiente más mental del techno. Architectural muestra una paleta sonora en la que tienen cabida los impactos, chasquidos y torsiones que provoca todo un equipo de construcción enfrascado en su tarea, explotando un oscuro terreno desolado, siguiendo las indicaciones del arquitecto que genera en su mente todo el proyecto. Bajo este alias el artista da cabida a una materia sónica con toques minimalistas, hormigón proveniente de Chicago, con vetas detroitianas y forjado de aleaciones derivadas del soul más genuino.

First up is ‘Angel Of Urano’. Taking us deep into the dancefloor where bluesy chords and a sexy, cat-like bassline create the feeling that you’re floating just an inch or two off the ground. ‘Ice Blue’ bounces between planets on a bassline made of pure electroid titanium and a groove crunchier than rusty space debris, the real pay-off is the trippy breakdown mid-way as molten synths whisk us into a fast lane we didn’t even know existed. ‘4 Only’ is a gnarled slab of crisp electro-inspired sweatiness. Intense and unrelenting, there’s a distinct early 2000s feel to the groove while the pace and mood have all the sultriness of a 2020 dark disco jam.
Complete with a super creeper remix from Duro bossman Theus Mago, Penrose continue to show promise as one of this year’s most exciting new labels. Roll on 003!

Taking us deep into the dancefloor where bluesy chords and a sexy, cat-like bassline create the feeling that you’re floating just an inch or two off the ground. ‘Ice Blue’ bounces between planets on a bassline made of pure electroid titanium and a groove crunchier than rusty space debris, the real pay-off is the trippy breakdown mid-way as molten synths whisk us into a fast lane we didn’t even know existed. ‘4 Only’ is a gnarled slab of crisp electro-inspired sweatiness. Intense and unrelenting, there’s a distinct early 2000s feel to the groove while the pace and mood have all the sultriness of a 2020 dark disco jam.
Complete with a super creeper remix from Duro bossman Theus Mago, Penrose continue to show promise as one of this year’s most exciting new labels. Roll on 003!
