If I was a YouTuber using clickbait, I’d subtitle this one “WE ALMOST BROKE UP?!?” (No, not quite, but we did go to a lot of triad therapy over the past year and things were rocky there for a minute. We get into it a little bit in this one). The other subtitle would be: "WE GOT MARRIED!!!!" Other highlights: West and Riley BOTH forget the date of our wedding, we give an update about our lives after like 2 years of not doing an episode, we talk about our unhealthy patterns and mental health growth with ourselves and within our relationship, we talk about the best thing about being gay married and share our marriage covenant, we talk about our household structure, including our financial practices as a foursome, and finally, we give you our recs for quarantine media binging!

I (Sequoia) am a social worker/therapist working toward my license in Clinical Social Work. In the past year, I've gained a much deeper understanding of the mechanics of how mindfulness and somatic-based therapy can be so powerful in helping us get through discomfort and suffering. This talk was given on Zoom during the initial stages of the Covid-19 pandemic, and I think it serves as a helpful introduction to understanding somatic therapy and helping you start to gain a better understanding of how to better listen to, and therefore better soothe, the feelings that can arise when things get difficult. When you hear me reading things off, I'm reading comments from the chat from the group that was listening.
