David moves from trouble to safety, anger to gladness, insomnia to sleep by way of the Person and work of Christ
King David writes a deeply emotional Psalm instructing believers about the sorrows of sin and the joys of forgiveness via the means of confession, repentance, and faith.
Having been Prepared, Authorized, and Commissioned, the question now remains, Are you Dedicated to Making Disciples---Being a disciple is to be Dedicated to Making Disciples.
Verses 6-7 reveal to us the universal problem. Verse 8 is God's answer to the problem. Verses 9-16 is the consequence of an unresolved problem.

The LORD systematically and consistently sanctifies each believer and commands that we be -conformed to the image of Christ.-It is a message that the enemy isn't just -out there,-but that he is -in here- In a word - Glorification.
Here is these verses, we shall see the Deliverance of Judah by the hand of her expectation One, her Messiah. And the main point here in ch.5 of Micah is that -He will deliver us - -5-6- Jesus Christ, the Promised Seed, the Messiah -will arise and shepherd His flock- -5-6- and in Him is found Abundant Provision.
The message of Micah 5 is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Here we encounter one of the Greatest texts in all the Scripture. A King is coming.
Micah is here liking the process of natural birth to Israel's spiritual re-birth. A discourse on the Doctrine of Regeneration.
Sermon on the Mount - Jesus is preaching the opposite of what the religious leaders of the time were teaching. He is elevating the Word of God.- When a church undermines the Word of God, they become something that is not a church at all.
We are here to influence the world, Every one has an influence either negative or Positive, You can't be like the world and lead them to Christ.
The Lord saw fit to give to His Chosen Nation, at this particular time, a word of hope in the midst of glory in the midst of gloom- and peace in the midst of persecution.
By the power of Christ we are to put away our sin in order to replace it with God's righteousness.
There is a word being spoken that defines to the nation of Judah, that the days of glory which she longs for, those days are only to be found in the days of her Messiah. Only then will -the mountain of the house of the LORD be established as the chief of the mountains- Micah 4-1
Micah 3-9-12 is a good introduction- a historical background or preface to not only what we find in immediately following in chapter 4, but also for the remainder of Micah. There is here at this transition a very real ultimatum given and very real promise extended.
To be a real peacemaker we must understand that God's peace brings righteousness to bear on the situation, it does not compromise. And remember that Jesus Christ will establish an eternal peace, but that will be a victory won through war.
The Church of Jesus Christ is an eternal building of God, therefore she needs to be built with eternal materials.
Micah stands as a bulwark against the swelling tide of sin and not only proclaims truth to his fellow countrymen, but declares to them the authority by which he speaks. Micah is exposing the sin of his people, contrasting it with the righteousness of God- the Holy Standard and Nature of God's Person- and declaring to the nation her just judgement .
The eternal, divine Word declares to us the mind of God. He who is in the bosom of the Father has dwelt among us.
Micah, begins his second of three sections, returns to his theme of impending judgement, and declares to his audience- and to us today, of the inseparability of politics and religion. Micah is clearly portraying to us, that there is a necessary connection and correlation between Orthopraxy and Orthodoxy. There must be an application to your doctrine- and actions flow out of beliefs.
The battle for our soul is won or lost by what we are listening to, what we are giving ourselves to. Our fruitfulness is hugely impacted by our diet. And our outcome is entirely dependent on wether Christ knows us.
One of the blessings to be found... is the truth that there are times , even in the very midst of judgement and sorrow, that a message of grace and mercy breaks through the dark clouds of judgement and the gloom. While the storm isn't over, or even while it rages, there is a promise of peace, a promise of protection, a promise of providence. There is hope.
The final message of The Biblical Family series. In this message we learn about worship in the family.
Micah describes an unconventional war being conducted in the pulpits, homes, and streets of the nation. Micah speaks of the destruction which sin and war bring. In this section, Micah turns his gaze and his message towards the false prophets.
Micah, the Lord district Attorney presses charges against the individuals Largely responsible for the death of the nation-the ultra-wealthy, thew powerful, and the leadership.
This is a national funeral. This is what coming judgement upon a nation-people looks like- the righteous will weep, while the wicked party. Sin-lawlessness storms the capital. The next generation is indoctrinated into the ideology of the coming regime. The glory of God disappears into the heart of the earth.
Do our children know we fear God- How do we live in front of them- In this message we look at 4 father figures from the Old Testament, and what impact they had on their family-
The Law and the Gospel. -Man is responsible for the wickedness that is in the world, not God. - -Nine out of ten people will say that they are a pretty good person-.
Do you embrace God's gospel- If you know Christ are you willing to go to prison for this-
What does a Virtuous Wife look like- What is the connection between a virtuous wife and her relationships-
Why must Scripture be fulfilled- Why was it necessary for Christ to suffer- Who is the Living One- Are you filling your mind with the Word of God-
What effect does the Gospel have on Feminine Equality- -How should the wife respond to the husband-
Do we have ears to hear- If you are not searching and seeking, don't expect your mind to be opened.
As Husbands we have a lot of commitments to our- Career, Family, Friends, Spouse, etc. - it is like trying to keep all the balls in the air. Which commitment is most important- How does that one affect the rest of our commitments-
These verses paint a clear picture that we are not in just a small dilema, we are in a Heap of Trouble.
What was Christ's response to the people who were trying to change what the definition of Marriage is-
Why is it that what God calls very good and blesses, Satan attacks and tries to destroy--In a world where foundational issues are being redefined, should we redefine the Family-
Can man -hit the mark-- If all people are equally spiritually dead, why are some worse off than others- What is the state of your soul-
Listen to the beginning to hear the alternate title......--A First Century example of what the church today should, and should not look like. Are we a living martyr or a dictator- Are we fond of being first- What are the three things that we are to do with Truth- If you have read over 3 John before and have not gained much this sermon sheds some light on what the apostle was addressing.
Is there a testimony of Christ in us, or are we saying that Jesus Christ has truly made no impact on our life-
What is the focal point of the church- As the 21st century Church, what is our most important responsibility-
Only one kingdom can have your total allegiance. Is your allegiance to an earthly Caesar or to Christ's Lordship---The early church suffered persecution because they defied Caesar as ultimate authority, and proclaimed that Jesus is Lord- Caesar did not care what religion they had as long as he had the final say- Is it that way in our lives today- Can Christians be silent- --Is our government today, really any different from the anarchy of the Roman Empire----A powerful message that is very relevant to our world today-
Does the Grace of God reach you- The same power that made Christ flesh has made us sons and daughters of God.
What does the doctrine of reward teach us- If we are saved by grace, is our works important- Why is the judgment seat of Christ a place of reward and loss for believers- A great sermon expounding the truth that we are Justified by Faith, and Rewarded by Works.
The Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How of Gratitude- What do we have that we have not been given-
Is the Holy Spirit at work in you- Has the Holy Spirit made the word alive in you- -- This is a great message on the basic doctrines of Salvation, something that we can never hear too many times-
What is the most important principle that governs our life- How does the Truth impact your life-
Do you view God's grace as a license to sin, or a gift at a high price- Why is the word -alone- so important- Are you living fully today by the riches of His grace alone-
- Prayer is not overcoming God's reluctance, but is laying hold of God's willingness.- - George Mueller--How are our prayers heard, and does sin affect your prayers-
Can a dead man choose his own way- God cares about our holiness and our righteousness more than our feelings.

What happens when God takes away everything we depend on--The fact is, God is saving people on His terms.
What defines you as a child of God- What does this love for our brethren look like- In reality am I more like Cain or Christ-
