Scared out of his mind he would later go to sleep and hope that whatever lived in his closet or was waiting outside his window wouldn't drag him from his bed never to be heard from again. This is why podcasts like Crackpot fascinate him well into his adulthood. That being said join us this week as we talk to the fine gentlemen of Crackpot podcast.

The 82nd Astronaut chronicles his first attempt at restoring yellowed Air Jordan sneaker soles back to their icy glory. The forecast for this episode is CHILLY.
1999 was an incredible year in film. Several were released that year that dealt with reality and our perception of it. Of those releases, Fight Club seemed to catch the cultural zeitgeist with memorable scenes, quotable lines and a twist that would make Rod Serling proud. In this episode we mine the depths of Fight Club and discuss what it meant to us in 1999 and if it holds up 22 years later.
The 82nd Astronaut, Marco and Roly Dizzle follow the white rabbit into the latest installment of The Matrix franchise for the first episode of Kicks & Comics of 2022. Senior Entertainment Weekly writer and all around funny and great person Clark Collis sits down with the 82nd Astronaut and Marco to talk about his new book "You've Got Read On You: How Shaun of the Dead was brought to life." The 82nd Astronaut documents his first expedition into knock off sneakers by reviewing and comparing the Rocawear Henry High to the Air Jordan I. Each Saturday morning we line up digitally for a chance to get the latest sneaker and in most cases we are frustrated by failure. No one seems immune to this and big companies like Nike do very little to remedy the situation. Join us this week as we declare that sneaker collecting culture is dead.

Much like the Yeti or his North American cousin the Sasquatch, The New Mutants movie was thought to be an urban legend to only be spoken of in hushed tones amongst the dusty $1 bins in comic book shops across the globe. Now after much delay the movie was finally released and we got the opportunity to sit down to talk about it. Please excuse the last minute or so as some audio gnomes hit and the sound got a bit distorted. Thanks again for downloading our little podcast and giving us a listen!

Ever since 1994's hit superhero movie BlankMan, Hollywood has been desperately trying to replicate the formula of making a movie about superheroes or people with super powers that doesn't come from the pages of a well known comic book with varying degrees of success. Today we discuss that questionable attempt with 2020's Netflix original Project Power as well as diving into some other non MCU/DCEU films.
Oh my, how quickly a year goes by! October of 2019 we started this podcast with no real expectations but we sincerely cannot believe what the last 12 months have brought. It is always cool to meet someone whose work you admire. It downright surreal when that person decides to sit down and have a conversation with you about it. The Dynamic Duo return with Episode 1 of Season 2! This episode features life changing news as well as review of Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey. This would not be a Kicks and Comics episode if tangents did not abound so the 82nd Astronaut and Marco discuss the 2020 NBA All Star game as well as the controversial Houston Asterisks..um we meant Astros.
There are moments in life that happen and it seems as if the whole world stops and pays attention. Sunday January 26th 2020 was one of those days. Sadly nine people aboard a helicopter in Southern California bound for an afternoon basketball tournament lost their lives in a devastating crash. Among the 9 who lost their lives were NBA great Kobe Bryant and his daughter future WNBA great Gigi Bryant. When the news broke there was a collective breath hold for the news to be unsubstantiated and for it to be the next great internet hoax, unfortunately the news was true and the world collectively mourned. Originally the guys intended for Season 2 to start differently and planned on recording an episode about the exciting things to come in 2020, we decided together to pivot and do what we do best and go on a tangent and reflect on the life of Kobe Bryant. Please join us in remembering a NBA legend. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families impacted by this tragedy. RIP Mamba...
