This is an experiment episode where our hosts talk about a group of students at SPJIMR are creating a chatbot using the Gemini API and Streamlit to improve student experience on the Ekosh Moodle LMS.
- They identified challenges students face with assignment submission, course feedback, and class calendars.
- Their prototype aims to resolve these issues by enabling students to upload assignments, chat with the chatbot about the content, and receive relevant information specific to their courses and assignments.
- The chatbot includes features like course-specific interaction, file upload and processing, chat context, session management, and a user-friendly interface with custom styling.

കേരളയുവത്വം നാടവിടുന്നുണ്ടോ? എങ്കിൽ എന്തുകൊണ്ട്?
ഉണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ എന്തിനു എന്ന ചോദ്യത്തിന് ഒരു ലളിതമായ ഉത്തരമില്ല. കേരത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പ്രവാസികളുടെ സഞ്ചാരത്തിന്റെ ചരിത്രം ആധുനിക കേരത്തിന്റെ ചരിത്രത്തോളം ഉണ്ട്. പണ്ട് സാധാരണ തൊഴിൽ തേടി ആണ് ഈ പോക്കെങ്കിൽ എപ്പോൾ അതിനൂതനവും സാങ്കേതികമായ തൊഴിലുകൾ തേടിയാണ് ഈ പോക്ക്. മുമ്പ് സാമ്പത്തികമായ മെച്ചം തേടി മാത്രം ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ഇന്ന് മെച്ചപ്പെട്ട ജീവിതശൈലി കൂടെ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചാണ് ഈ മാറ്റം.
ആഗോളവത്ക്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ട നമ്മുടെ ഈ ലോകത്തു വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം, ജോലി എന്നിവ തേടിയുള്ള യാത്ര കുറെയൊക്കെ സ്വാഭാവികമാണ്. എന്നാൽ കേരളത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ ഈ ഒരു നാടുവിടൽ ആശങ്ക ഉളവാകുന്ന ഒരു വസ്തുതയാണ്. 2021 ലെ പീരിയോഡിക് ലേബർ ഫോഴ്സ് സർവ്വേ കണക്കുകൾ നോക്കിയാൽ കേരളത്തിലെ തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ നിരക്കുകൾ 15 നും 30 നും ഇടയിലുള്ള ജനസംഖ്യയുടെ 36 ശതമാനത്തിലും അധികമാണ്. ഇതിന്റെ ഭീകരാവസ്ഥ മനസ്സിലാകുന്നത് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ മൊത്തം തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ നിരക്ക് 17 ശതമാനം എന്നതാണ്. സ്വാഭിവകമായി ഇത് വഴി തെളിയിക്കുന്നത് കേരളത്തിന്റെ പുറത്തുള്ള അവസരങ്ങൾ തേടിയുള്ള യാത്രകളാണ്.
എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ഇത് സംഭവിക്കുന്നു ?
- കേരത്തിലെ വിദ്യാർത്ഥി സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ, വളരുന്ന ലോകപരിജ്ഞാനം, അതോടൊപ്പം വളരുന്ന വിജയിക്കാനുള്ള അഭിനിവേശം.
- കേരളത്തിലെ ഉന്നതവിദ്യാഭാസത്തിനുള്ള പരിമിതികൾ. തൊഴില് അധിഷ്ഠിതമല്ലാത്ത കോഴ്സുകൾ. പരിഷ്കരിക്കാത്ത സിലബസ്, പാഠ്യരീതികൾ പരീക്ഷാരീതികൾ.
- മികച്ച അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങള്, ശമ്പളം, പുരോഗമന ചിന്ത ഉൾകൊള്ളുന്ന സമൂഹം, വിനോദകേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ ഉൾകൊലുന്ന ഒരു മെച്ചപ്പെട്ട ജീവിതശൈലി തരുന്ന വിദേശജീവിതം.
- എല്ലാ തൊഴിലിലും അതിന്റെതായ അന്തസ് ഉണ്ടെന്നു അംഗീകരിക്കാൻ തയ്യാറാവാത്ത മാനസികാവസ്ഥ.
- റിസ്ക് എടുക്കാൻ വിമുഖത. ഇത് വ്യത്യസ്തമായ ജോലികൾ ചെയ്യുന്നതിനും സംരംഭകത്വം പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള പരിശ്രമത്തിനു ഇത് വിലങ്ങു തടിയാണ്.
- കേരളം എന്ന സാമ്പത്തിക ശക്തിയുടെ വ്യവസ്ഥിതമായ പരിമിതികൾ. പരിമിതമായ സർവീസ് സെക്ടർ, ടൂറിസം, വിദേശത്തു നിന്നുള്ള വരുമാനം എന്നിവ കൊണ്ട് മുന്നോട്ടു പോവുന്ന കേരളത്തിന്, യുവാക്കൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി നൽകാവുന്ന ജോലികളിലെ പരിമിതികളുണ്ട്.
ഇനി മുന്നോട്ടു എങ്ങിനെ?
- ഒരു സാമ്പത്തിക ശക്തി എന്ന നിലയിൽ കേരളത്തിന് അതിന്റെ പരിമിതികൾ ഉൾകൊണ്ട് എന്തൊക്കെ ജോലികൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുവാൻ സാധിക്കും എന്നതിന് ഒരു വൃക്തത കൊണ്ടുവരിക. അതിനു വേണ്ടി ശ്രമിക്കുക.
- അങ്ങിനെ ഉള്ള ജോലികൾക്കു വേണ്ടി ആഗോള നിലവാരത്തിലുള്ള ഉന്നത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന് ഷിപ്പിങ് രംഗത്തെ അതികായനായ കൊറിയയിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഷിപ്പിങ് ആയി ബന്ധപ്പെടുന്ന ഉന്നത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ.
- പുരോഗമനപരമായുള്ള ചിന്തയിൽ അടിസ്ഥിതമായ ഒരു സമൂഹത്തെ വാർത്തെടുക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങൾ.
- സയൻസ് ടെക്നോളജി എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് മാത്സ് എന്നീ വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രികരിച്ചുള്ള ഗവേഷണകേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് കൂടാതെ മലയാളത്തിൽ ഈ അറിവുകൾ ലഭ്യമാക്കുക.
