The Stanley Cup Final is here.... and we couldn't feel more "meh" about it. We briefly talk about the cup final before turning our focus to the Bruins, and more specifically, Don Sweeney. Should this be his last chance? We take a look back at some prior free agency and draft decisions as Don Sweeney gets set to have more than $20M in cap space. We give our thoughts on the state of the Bruins before the craziness of the offseason gets underway. We then do a quick CapFriendly armchair GM, and pick random obscure Bruins' from the years prior. We're back... and the Bruins have been eliminated from the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs. We give our takes on the series, and the B's centennial season as a whole. This one feels different, and not in a bad way. The B's overachieved and had a great season -- even advancing in the playoffs, which they hadn't done since 2021. For the first time in seemingly forever, they have flexibility with cap space, and are primed for what could be an interesting offseason. Jeremy Swayman proved he's that guy, Mason Lohrei gained important experience, and Jake DeBrusk proved he deserves an extension with the B's. It's weird to feel optimistic after a playoff loss, but here we are. Thank you for listening to another season of us rambling about the Bruins!

The Bruins are down 3-1. It's much deserved as the Bruins have been thoroughly outplayed..... but the referees still find a way to insert themselves. Sam Bennett sucker punches Brad Marchand, knocking him out of games 3 and 4. No penalty, no suspension, and no fine, but a new camera angle appeared two days later, confirming what we already knew. Then in game 4, it is legal to Crosscheck Charlie Coyle into Jeremy Swayman, and score the game-tying goal moments later. The Bruins deserve to be in this hole, but the referees could not be any more clueless. We're back! The Bruins split the first two games in Florida, and head back to Boston looking to regroup after a poor showing in Game 2. The Bruins started the series with a great Game 1 win where they got goals from some unexpected names. We're back! The Bruins, despite blowing a 3-1 stranglehold, manage to mulch the Leafs in game 7 at TD Garden again. We're back for the 2024 trade deadline recap... and the Bruins traded for Pat Maroon and Andrew Peeke! That's on us for joking about both of them last episode. Our apologies. The B's take on an injured Pat Maroon and a defenseman in Peeke that had trouble seeing the ice for a bad Blue Jackets team this year. We break down the trades and what almost was a Linus Ullmark trade! We then take a look at the B's past week, which saw them beat the Leafs twice, and get crosschecked in the throat twice by Jake McCabe. We then go around the NHL and talk about the Hurricanes trading for Jake Guentzel, and Vegas stealing the show and setting themselves up nicely for a back to back cup run.

More heartbreaking and infuriating news comes out of the NHL, as Dillon Dube, Michael McLeod, Cal Foote, Carter Hart and Alex Formenton have been charged with sexual assault in regards to the Team Canada 2018 WJC investigation. We are back to record a sombre one! Patrice Bergeron has announced his retirement, putting a close to an absurd, legendary career. This episode is solely Patrice Bergeron praise, as we reflect on his illustrious career, which saw him dominate and win at every level he played. While Patrice Bergeron the player was incredible, Patrice Bergeron the man, is much better. The Bruins, The City of Boston, and the hockey community are in a much better place thanks to Patrice Bergeron. Thank you, Bergy!

We're back! The NHL awards and entry draft have come and gone, and so has July 1st! Tune in as we discuss what is looking like a completely different Bruins team. We're back! After sitting on a heartbreaking game 7 loss for a few days, we're back to break down what probably was the biggest choke in the history of the NHL! We go back and look through game 7, and the series after game 4, as the Bruins, with some questionable coaching decisions, strayed completely away from their game and allowed Florida to claw back and complete an incredible comeback. There are actually no words to sum up how magical the regular season was, and how awful the first round was. We are back.. and it's official. The 2022-23 Boston Bruins are the greatest team in NHL history, as with their 63rd win, they set the record for most wins in a single season. Oh yeah, David Pastrnak has a hat trick against Philly to hit SIXTY (60!!) goals on the season. We also get into Coach Montgomery's record for most wins by a coach in their first year and Taylor Hall being healthy again. However, to create the cap room for Hall's return, Forbort and Foligno are placed on LTIR. McAvoy also left the game against TOR but was fine, and Krejci is being sat out. Marchand's season is also a topic of conversation as he is set to be under a point per game for the first time since the 2015-16 season. The B's continue their historic season as they now have 111 points in 69 games, and their season-long goal differential is up to +113. We are back... and Don Sweeney continues to impress at the deadline as he makes a BIG move, acquiring defenseman Dmitry Orlov and forward Garnet Hathaway from the Washington Capitals! The B's send Craig Smith and 3 draft picks to Washington, and send a 5th to Minnesota as they retain an extra 25% of Orlov's contract. We give our immediate reactions and discuss if we think the Bruins are done, or if they'll consider moving next year's first-round pick to add more at this deadline. We are back... and the Bruins are down 2-0 to the Hurricanes, and everything seems off with the B's. Tune in for a recap of the first two games, with a focus on the very dumb things from game 2. David Pastrnak unintentionally hits and injures Antti Raanta, prompting Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour to infer that the Bruins are intentionally trying to hurt the hurricanes goalies. The Hurricanes were not phased by that as the referees gave them NINE (9) powerplays, and seemed to have a bias to only call a Bruin when scrums occurred. The Bruins didn't do themselves any favors, as they once again fell into an early deficit. Hampus Lindholm's health is in question after a borderline hit from Svechnikov. It truly could not get much worse for the B's. Now. Where do the Bruins go from here? Who needs to come into the lineup, who should start in net in game 3, and what the hell needs to happen for the bruins to have a chance in this series? We are back! Tuukka Rask retires from professional hockey after his comeback attempt suffers a setback. Tuukka is the best goalie the Bruins have ever had. Full stop. With that, the Bruins are in full-on chaos mode right now. After news of Tuukka's potential retirement was leaked, the Bruins blew a 2-0 lead to Danton Heinen, (I mean the Penguins), Patrice Bergeron suffered a head injury, and Brad Marchand punched and high stuck Tristan Jarry to earn a 6 game suspension. We discuss all of the bad, and some of the good. We're back! Just like last week, the bruins play awful on the night we record! Tuukka Rask struggles to make saves as the Bruins drop a tough one to Anaheim. What is up with Tuukka Rask? Is he just starting slow like he usually does, or is this a sign of things to come? Brad Marchand has quite the week, as he chirps Vincent Trocheck & the Hurricanes, makes a fan's day with a great video after warmups, and overall just continues to shine as the best winger in the league! Garnet Hathaway thanks him for his service to grow the game with a nasty board that knocked Marchand from the game. Boarding would become a theme as Grzelcyk was on the wrong end of a board from Dubois against Winnipeg, and Steen ended the trend with a nasty board against the Ducks tonight.
