We are a growing family of Christians living to see the presence of God transform our land and the communities around us.
Our heart is for each and every person to experience the reality of Jesus Christ in their lives, knowing the joy, hope and freedom He brings.
How much do you want of God? Because no one has less of God than they want.8 choices; Lord what do you want me to hear and what am I going to do about it?1 Clarity or trust. 2 Obedience v disobedience. 3. Faith or fear. 4 Urgency or apathy. 5 Gratitude or grumbling. 6. Comfort or the way of the cross. 7. Rules or relationship. 8 Life or death.
Now remember! Paul wants us to remember the impact of Jesus' life on our lives: 1. Remember what you were at that time without Christ. 2. We were strangers, without God and without hope. Now we are saved! Let's not put trust in other things apart from Christ. Everything else is meaningless! Let us remember the power of Jesus death and resurrection; in communion we can be brought near. Everything is fulfilled in Jesus. So let us be expectant of heaven breaking out on earth, through us because of Christ in us!
Paul instructs us - now remember! Remembering is important. Paul wants us to remember the impact of Jesus' life on our lives; 1 Remember what you were once without Christ. 2 You were strangers without God and without hope. Life without God is meaningless. There's an invitation, as you take communion to remember the depth and reality that in Christ - through his death and resurrection - you have been brought near. So let's come to him in fresh surrender expectant of the reality of heaven on earth breaking out in our everyday.
We have been given the mandate to rule over the places we live - both physically and spiritually. The transformation of places begins with the transformation of people (us). The transformation of people begins when we posture ourselves to receive God's mercy.
And he has put all things under his feet and has made him the head over all things for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
The church has been orphaned - however, there is an invitation to taste the future inheritance. AW Tozer devastatingly wrote that if the Holy Spirit was withdrawn from the Church, 95% of the activity of the Church would continue. Jesus wants us on fire on Sunday and Monday. v 13 We have all been marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit. Let's use what we've been given! Let's be ablaze! We cannot live with mixture, so that the Holy Spirit can increase with power. Let's not settle. He wants to grow in us.
What story are you living in? This is the lens that we interpret everything. Every false gospel will eventually crush the people. In Jesus, we have a better story. We cannot earn what Christ has already finished. God loves us recklessly. The grace that has been lavished upon us can enable us to live a life to be worthy, whilst we are often lacking enough faith to enjoy it. We cannot host the presence of God, if we believe the Father is reluctant to be in us and with us. Jesus is the one who restores - let's fix our gaze on Jesus and delight in Him.
We are children of God in Jesus. He has loved and chosen you IN CHRIST, before the foundations of the world. God is bigger than our understanding. We are adopted by by God Almighty.
We are blessed with every spiritual blessing. 3 in one - lives IN US! Father, Son and Holy Spirit, living inside each one of us. We are hidden in Jesus. We are chosen in Christ. The foulest thing is covered by the blood of Jesus - He has done it all! Christ IN us means we have all authority over evil. The church is meant to reflect who God is. Let's build the oil of intimacy with Jesus - through prayer, so that we are equipped to reflect Him in our witness, proclaiming, loving and serving.
We the church are meant to reflect who God is. How can we do this? 1. Prayer 2. Witness 3 Proclaiming, loving and serving. How can we replace and overcome the opposition? Invest time to fill up on the oil of intimacy with Jesus. In Ephesus - the dominant worship was to the Goddess of Fertility - Artemis. We may be living in a simular culture where the God of money and sex dominates - but Jesus has blessed us with 'Every Spiritual Blessing'. How can we see things from heaven's perspective . We are chosen in Christ, destined for adoption. The foulest thing is cover by the blood of Jesus - He has done it all! We are IN HIM, and HE IS IN US!
We are called to build an altar of prayer and worship in Chanctonbury. The altar builds a firm spiritual gate in a place and it acts an entrance point for more of the spirit of the living God. There are spiritual gates that allow darkness into the world. It was in that context in Ephesus that the church rises., in a city built around the Greek Goddess of Artemis. Historically Chanctonbury has been an area where a temple was build to the goddess Diana. Places are affected by the gates that are opened. We need to come out from under it and come over it. We are called to be apostolic people; one, holy and set apart. Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. As we stand and pray in the spirit on all occasions, we build the 1st Altar of Sacrifice. The 2nd Altar of Feasting at the Lord's table and the 3rd Altar is the Altar of Incense; these are the prayers of the saints rising and reshaping the Western church. (Revelation 8;3-5). Let's be encouraged to build these altars, in this place to bring transformation.
Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. I will not leave you orphaned. We have missed the love of the Father. It's not about striving - you are a child of God. There's and invitation to have an encounter with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit wants to come and transform us.
to be be filled with the Holy Spirit. Paul had a vision - he released it, he equipped and he made disciples. Paul created an environment of the Kingdom, so that when others came into the environment - they were so impacted and changed and then sent they go back, carry the gospel. The lord creates hot centres, where people are transformed - then He sends people. Our transformation is not just for us - the next phase is to begin to capture our part in this Kingdom mission and then we go!
1 Ask God what he is calling me to do. 2 What are you calling me to? 3 Obey His call. Lord, what's my next step? What story can I tell? 4 Review how it went. 5 Now what's next. The Lord and the enemy have been playing out a battle. Different people have been brought together - the game is shifting; now positioned for victory. Now I can progress your kingdom through you. This is the conversion phase. The church in Ephesus had fought the battles, preserved under hardship,, continued to seek God - the battle shaped church, can loose the dependency in vulnerability and humility. Well done - you've got to this place, but I'm calling you to a shift. He is the prize.
Everyone is called to 'go!' How can we prepare the way for others to encounter Jesus. The God of mission has a church, he asks us to step into this mission. How can we do this? Find our people? Where is our part? A practical guide to go out in the power and authority of Jesus.
Have you sat on a cruise liner? This is a picture of consumer christianity. We are being called to awaken and move into the rescue boats. Who are you being called to? We are each being launched into a rescue mission. Are we ready?
Friday needs Sunday and Sunday needs Friday. Easter Sunday is the completion of Good Friday. Jesus is alive!
How do we become like Jesus? 1. God is growing HIs identity in us. 2. God is growing HIs character in us. 3. God is growing His ministry through us.
Is what we glorify worth our adoration? Chanc Mission 1 ; Glorifying God, is to become spiritually mature. Are you 1. A Receiver (childish and focused on personal need). 2. An Explorer (Consumed with your own personal mission and identity). 3. A Glorifier ( Re-orientating your heart to glorify Him ) Focused on Glorifying God -
Chanctonbury leadership team share how they sense the Lord leading us over this next season.
The united sense across the church leadership of how God is leading us at Chanctonbury during for the next season.
Take the narrow road,. Give Him everything, follow Paul's example ; tunnel vision for the Lord and you'll inherit the joy of knowing Jesus. We are called to be proclaimers everywhere.
Although bitten by a snake - there's an invitation not to look at that - and focus on Jesus.
What is it that you trust when the wind picks up? Where am I being invited to trust God more? Who is God asking me to speak hope into?
Jesus wants us to surrender with pure and humble hearts - to fix our gaze on Him . He is looking for somewhere HIs fire can fall. Fire falls on an altar.
Jesus is saying I am the ladder - I am the gate into my presence. At Chanctonbury we are desiring to build more altars to fill this place with His Kingdom reality. Paul was in a shipwreck and we are in the business of restoring. Let's raise expectancy as we share Jesus to expect healing - God in the ordinary. I will build my church and the gates of Hades will. not overcome it.
Are you hungry for God? Drink in His Presence. Once you've found Him, stay tuned in. It's an honour to sacrifice everything for God.
Even in the soil of decay something beautiful is growing. Jesus is planting seeds for every place. God calls us to plant a garden. Long slow obedience in the same direction brings heaven to our streets.
God himself fulfilled the destiny of Jesus; he came to subvert worldly power and to release the Kingdom of God on earth. Immanuel - God is with us.
Even in the soil of decay something beautiful can grow. Jesus is planting seeds for every place. God is calling us to plant a garden to help reshape a broken nation. Long slow obedience in the same direction brings heaven to our streets.
Jesus is calling us to bear Good News. We are often intimidated, overwhelmed and overcome - but we are being released to be like Jesus.
The gospel is powerful enough to change lives. Will you believe? God is sending you! Will we launch the boats or stay on shore?
Where is God calling us to be bridges? Where is He inviting you to lay down your preferences? How much are we willing for God to work through us?
God is bigger than the chaos around us. We cannot be a non-anxious presence without His Presence. Jesus is the only answer. We fix our eyes on what is unseen.
General Synod, Church of England 1945. An inspiring quote to motivate! God is calling every single one of us to be a missionary to the nation.
On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Matthew 16:18
How do you see God and how do you see yourself? We are sons and daughters - not slaves. We are the righteousness of God. We have peace with God. We can rejoice in the hope of the Glory of God. He showed His love for us. I turn my life back to you God.
Are we ready and prepared to handle what the Lord wants to do? How to become trustworthy.
An invitation to return to our First Love. The only way we can love him, because He first loved us. Jesus is looking for friends that reflect The Father's love - as we are sent.
How is a Spiritual Transformation of Place, possible? Aligned and surrendered to God's vision. Spiritual Resistance cleared through prayer. The church prevails through embodying healthy Kingdom Culture.
Aligned and Surrendered to God's vision- 2033. Spiritual resistance cleared through prayer/ The church prevails through embodying healthy Kingdom Culture
What must I do to inherit eternal life? You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind: and your neighbour as yourself.
How do we do the 18 inch journey of knowing the Father's love in our head - to living from the Father's love in our heart?
