Today we talk to Kevin Brady. Kevin Brady is a management consultant, author, and educator, who focuses on helping improve the environmental, social, and financial performance, and sustainability, of organisations, products and materials. His clients include Fortune and Global 500 firms across a diversity of industrial sectors from mining to energy, consumer goods, transportation, manufacturing, oapparel, and retail.
He helped develop environmental management standards for the International Organisation for Standardisation, better know as ISO, and he has been a member of the Canadian Standards Association Policy Board.
In 2012 Kevin was recognised as a member of Canada’s Clean 50 for his contributions to clean capitalism. He is currently an instructor of Sustainability and Industrial Design at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
Today we talk with Claire Sullivan, a Seattle lawyer. A graduate of Lehigh University with a BA and MA in political science, Claire taught special education for 3 years in Kona, Hawaii, two summers in Ramallah, Palestine, and a year in Long Xuyen, Vietnam.
As a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law she clerked for Judge David Mannheimer on the Alaska State Court of Appeals in Anchorage, Alaska.
She Moved back to Seattle in August of 2017 and has been working as a public defender in King County, Washington since.
Bill and his three brothers opened Chicago’s first bagel chain, Jacobs Bros Bagels, in 1983. They expanded to 20 locations and then sold to Big Apple bagels in 1999. In 2001, with Rick Nielsen from the band Cheap Trick, Bill opened Piece, a New Haven style pizzeria and brewpub located in Wicker Park. Piece supports multiple community organizations including the Children’s Memorial Hospital, WBEZ, the Looking Glass Theater, P.A.W.S, and Pilot Light Chefs. In December 2007 Bill opened Piece Out, a carryout and delivery business, and then in August 2014 Bill opened Brobagel in a small storefront next to Piece
In 2015 Piece was the highest grossing single location pizzeria in the U.S.A with 7M in annual sales. It won Top Independent Pizzeria of the Year 2011, and has won 28 medals at the Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup since 2002, including the World Beer Cups’ highest honor, Champion Small Brewpub, and Piece just won a gold and a bronze medal at the World Beer Cup this month. Neal Augenstein is a reporter with WTOP -- the all-news radio station in Washington, DC. For the or the past 22 years he's been covering news in and around the nation's capital. Major stories like 9/11 and the Beltway Sniper rampage. He's also done features like cooking on the dashboard of his car during heatwaves. And in 2010 he became the first major-market reporter in the country to do all of his field reporting on an iPhone -- and his first iPhone is part of the permanent collection at The Newseum.
Today we have 5 time Canadian Champion and 40 time World Champion freestyle skier Mike Nemesvary on to discuss isolation. Mike has spent the last 35 years in a wheel chair. So isolation is nothing new to him.

Today our guest is John Eaves. John was Canada's most successful professional freestyle skier in the late seventies winning 6 World Championships. After his retirement from competition John went on to do stunt work appearing in many films. His most famous and dangerous stunt was the bobsled chase scene in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only. John also was Jackie Chan's double in the film First Strike. John is a very accomplished composer and musician and now works as a guide and videographer for helicopter skiing.
Today our guest is Bernard Wood from Ottawa, Canada. Educated in history, Bernard received his army commission while at university. After an MA in International Affairs, he went on to a wide-ranging career in the field. He served as a non-partisan advisor to Canada’s parliament, a prime minister and a minister of different parties. As the founder of the North-South Institute and director of the Canadian Institute for International Peace and Security he was a leading researcher and commentator on issues of international affairs and defence for 15 years. He later became a senior officer in a multilateral organization in Europe and an award-winning evaluator. In the mid-1980s he was Personal Representative of the Prime Minister of Canada in the fight against Apartheid. In his current project – as a candidate for the Master of Fine Arts at the University of King’s College, Halifax – Bernard is harnessing and adapting his research, writing and communication skills to the discipline of “telling true stories well.”
Todays guest is Colin Stanfield. Colin Stanfield lives in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, grew up on Prince Edward Island, Canada and has worked in the arts and culture sphere for over two decades. He is currently the Senior Producer of Original Content and Business Strategy for Stillwell Partners, a company which produces advertising and marketing conferences around the world. Colin’s currently hold up in eastern Long Island with his son Porter and fiancée Anna and is concerned about what kind of New York they’ll eventually return to.
We go through a gamut of topics today with famous skier and film producer Greg Stump, in one of our funniest episodes yet. Greg was born in San Diego but grew up in Maine. He was the U.S National Freestyle Skiing Champion in 1978, a member of the first U.S National Freestyle Ski team, and winner of the very first F.I.S Nor/Am in 1979. Greg skied in films by Dick Barrymore and Warren Miller before starting into the film business in 1983. In 1999 Greg was honored by Skiing magazine as being one of 25 of the most influential people in skiing of all time!
