Encouraging words, wisdom, guidance, and generally things about good living! Looking at life through Scripture as a lover and follower of Jesus. We all need encouragement in our walk with The Savior of the world. This journey is not meant to be walked alone.
If you cannot love your brother or siter in Christ, you cannot love God!

There are four laws that apply to every human being. For the non-believer, they bring an understanding of where you are and show you hope. For the Believer, it is important to learn these 4 laws so you can quickly and confidently lead others into the kingdom of God and His Salvation.

When a peron comes to Christ, we need to be more than just the cheerleader on the sidelines.
Christians can have different opinions about things and still be great Christ-followers. Stiring up controversy with them is not the loving thing to do.
Speaking about the apostles, we often forget, or do not even know how they died, but it is far more important to know why they died!
Along our journey, we will experience spiritual attacks perpetrated by people. SOme are simply decieved some not. Our response is basically the same.
When everything around you gives you cause to be sad or depressed, believers have something to rejoice about!
We all have areas of self-doubt. The Christ-follower must perevere through these areas of their life.
Jesus didn't tell us about the signs of the end of times so that we can be busy focusing on that. The salvation of The Lord should be our focus!
Every believer has The Holy Spirit, but it is another matter entirely as to whether or not they walk in the power of The Holy Spirt.
I hear Christians all the time say things like, "I forgive you, but you can never be around me again." Is that really forgiveness?
Every believer wants God to hear their parayers and answer them, but did you know that God calls us to a certian conduct with a promise to hear us and answer?
Judging yourself condemded or unloveable when God has judged you forgiven and worthy, means that you value your judgement more then God's.
All of us fail at one time or another. Some times we even "backslide". Peter denied Jesus and yet Jesus loved him in spite of his denile!
Without salvation, people exist in a state of rebellion. They need you and God commands you!
Sharing the Gospel message requires us to use our words. Our actions only confirm, or authenticate the words we speak.
Your redeemed life is like a garden which must be maintaine to grow and produce it's bounty.
Those unclean people! Everywhere I look I all I see are those bad people. Don't go around them, what will people say?
Fear, depression, and anxiety all try to destroy many believers. Our victory is from God in this and through Him we can be that overcomer, but this is not a passive battle.
Seeking God, using wisdom, and the laying on of hands are all important features of ministry.
So you think it doesn't matter if you go to church? You say you can watch it on television or the computer; you can love God on your own and you don't need to go to church.
We are called to return to the darkness in righteousness and search for those searching for hope.
Stop saying, 'I'm not called to do that." You are called to do whatever Christ calls you to do. As you mature in your Christian walk, you will find that you need to be different things at different times to reach different people! We serve the Kings pleasure, not our own.
The redeemed have it made. Life is great! Of course, to those who are not redeemed, your life may look difficult, but that is because they do not have that wonderful Joy of The Lord!
Your walk as a Christ-follower requires a solid, unmovable principal defined by our Creator.
Most people grow up hearing the expression, "get your head out of the clouds", but I'm here to tell you why it is important to get your head into the clouds!
We are called to one task that sounds simple enough. The reality is that it is perhaps the most difficult thing to do.
Many times life can be difficult and our solution is to keep on keeping on. Too many times, it is in these very situations we make a wrong turn.
Each one of us who are redeemed by the blood of Christ are kingdom warriors. We are to stand fully in the authority God has given us.
Our prayer life is more then just talking to God, it is your greatest weapon in your arsenal.
The spoken word is not a word thought in your mind, but a word released from your lips.
We all have junk we need to deal with, but this junk can be an inhibiter in our prayer life.
Too many people with good intentions, find themselves working against God in their prayer life
We are always faced with a choices in our prayers, the wise man always prays for what God desires.
Every follower of Jesus is called to a place of intercession. Prayer is the key God gives us for communication with Him and to unlock His will on Earth.
When people come to you for prayer, they are not looking for some "I hope so prayer." They are looking for someone who is confident.
We are invited to The Marriage Feast of The Lamb, but we are commissioned to invite everyone we can find!
The Bible teaches us that God opposes the proud, but shows favor upon the humble. As we walk in godly humility, a heart song of joy escapes our lips.
When we recognize sin in our own life, we cry out to God for mercy. What is Jesus teaching when He says, Blessed are the merciful?
In this instalment of the in-depth look at the Beatitudes, we examine what it means biblically to be meek.
The second of the eight beatitudes and third instalment in this series. The Sermon on The Mount is the most detailed teaching from Jesus.
The Sermon on The Mount was the most in-depth and comprehensive teaching recorded of Jesus. It opens with the beatitudes. This series takes an in-depth look at each of the eight beatitudes.
The first in a series about the Beatitudes of the Sermon on the Mount. In this episode we give a brief history of the Gospel of Matthew and it's reliability.
God calls us to not be afraid. God declares that when we walk in His ways, we will not have anything to fear, He will defend us and protect us.
Sin is always crouching at our door waiting to snare us. The believer must always be vigilant.
We have been presented with a free gift. However, that gift is not one to just sit idle with, it is a call to action!
As Christ-Followers, we have a directive on how we are supposed to view people in the world. Our eyes are to be kingdom orientated in their seeing.
The essence of the Christian life is pretty basic and simple. The application may get difficult, but that is why God gives us grace.
God provides all of us with a way through whatever is going on in our life. This isn't some new thing, just God's truth laid out for each of us!
Jesus, and then the Apostles make it clear over and over how important it is for us to allow the teachings of Christ to define our behavior and attitudes.
Some have said that it is right to preach the Gospel and use your words when you have to; scripture says, live the Gospel AND use your words!
As believers, we have no justification for being anxious. Faith is knowing the character of God and trusting in that despite what we see going on around us.
As one of the redeemed, we no longer have the luxury of seeing people through the eyes of the world. We must see all people through the eyes of The Lord!
Those who are in Christ Jesus do not just identify as His, they live according to His ways.
Paul reminds us to live a life committed to the righteousness of God and that we are no longer who we used to be.
God was pleased to have the fullness of Himself dwell in Jesus. How can Jesus not be the completeness in your life?
Is Christ sufficient in your life? As a believer, we are given the very essence of prosperity in our life.
Of course the answer is yes, or so we claim to believe, but the real question is, do you live that truth?
We are not redeemed to be a fake imitation of the Christ Character. The world needs to see that we love The Lord and will do whatever He commands.
The world needs to see power in your walk. God enables us to be the vessels of His manifest glory, the world needs to see it.
In Acts 17 we read that Paul didn't focus on what the people were doing that was wrong before God, their idolatry etc. Instead, He focused on the good news of the Gospel and the Resurrection.
A quick look at Romans chapter 12. Like a daily multi-vitamin, chapter 12 is jam-packed with essential vitamins for the believer!
We, as the redeemed, are called to be the very reflection of Christ to the world and among each other.
The transformed Christian walks in holiness, setting themselves out front as one to be followed in right Christian living.
What are we not doing? Why is the church not as impactful today as we think it should be?
The world does not need us to live the worldly healthy, wealthy, wise life. They need the Kingdom version. They need us to be God's children.
There is a reason I say it is a beautiful day every day. This message is from February, 2014
In light of what is going on in many governments around the world, it is easy for us to get outraged at the changes, but what has the Lord called us to be like in this time?
Our continuing mining operation into 1 Peter. This episode focuses on the apostles reminder to us.
There is a coming wrath, for those who have rejected the salvation of Christ, your walk of Christian integrity becomes God's praise on the lips of the believer.
To truly be a blessing in someone's life, we must first understand what the need is. Whether words or labor, to be the blessing is important.
Forgiveness, what it is not and what it is. For the believer it is different than what it is in the world.
Our Christian walk takes regular maintenance and modifications so that we may stay kingdom healthy.
Our words have power. Our words, even that idle talk, have great power in our life and the lives of people we speak to and about.
There are some people who try to push others into the Gospel and there are those who pull them in. Which one are you?
If you cannot forgive, how can you love? If you cannot love, how can you be a son or daughter of God?
We are called to live life through a different perspective than the worldly ways in which are hostile to God. This message is from September 2013.
Sin addiction is not just the big things like pornography, gambling. It is any sin you return to over and over. However, there is good news, through Christ, this bondage can be broken!
Not one of us as a believer can labor effectively for the Kingdom of God without His Holy Spirit operating in us.
Do you find yourself still haunted by shame from your past? You know the Bible, and every time you try to talk to a fellow believer about it, they just tell you to move on, you've been forgiven. They just don't seem to get it, do they?
We cannot be who we used to be. God did not call us to be stagnant, nor remain as the person we were. We are to no longer conform to the world around us, but to be transformed. This message is from 12 Minutes With Mickey - March 2013 This message is just as important today as it was then.
As Christ-followers, our life is not supposed to be compartmentalized. What is the driving force in your life? A message from October, 2013
In this episode we wrap-up this 5 part message about Mark chapter 16 and the Great Commission.
In the Great Commission, Jesus tells us that there will be signs that accompany us in the activity of sharing the Gospel, but does that mean they are ours to call at our leisure?
Do you really believe in Hell? Do you really care for the lost? If you did, you would really be broken for them to recieve God's salvation!
Our sacrifice to The Lord always falls in one of two categories: either a Cain, or an Able offering.
How many times have you heard someone say they are just a work in progress? Maybe, like me, you have said it at times, but what are we really doing when we say this?
We are living stones for The Lord. This message is from July, 2011. The Church is built with us, each of us being God's building stones.
Your words have power. Real life effecting power, but what does it mean to curse someone?
Reaching back to one of my most listened to teachings over the last decade. This one is from the 12 Minutes With Mickey in January, 2013. Here we take a teaching drawn from Samuel and confront idolatry and rebellion in our own lives.
Reaching back to June of 2011, this is one of my most listened to teachings over the last decade of 12 Minutes With Mickey. How we live as believers, allowing the Spirit of God to live in and through you, allows the world to see Jesus in you.
Stepping backwards in time to February of 2011, this message about Psalm 105 is just as relevant today as it was then.
Have you ever heard someone respond like this? Maybe you have responded like this when someone insisted you react to another persons wickedness.
How many times have you heard someone say that God works all things together for good? We hear this many times when someone is trying to give words of comfort or someone is going through a bad time, but what does it mean?
Working for Jesus can be stressful. Or so we find, but is that the way it is supposed to be? If not, what are we doing wrong?
Reading Isaiah chapter 58 is where we find the true meaning of fasting according to God's own heart. This message is from the January 5, 2011, 12 Minutes With Mickey broadcast. This is the top ten most listened to teaching. Its message was relevant then and is still relevant today!
Investing in the kingdom is never about what we get back. The investment demonstrates our heart!
As we continue with talking about loving the lost, we are challenged to love those who are not easy to love.
Previously we asked the question, what sin is too much. Today we begin to put that into action as we put love into action.
What sin is too much to be forgiven? All Christians know the right answer - there is none. However, do we believe it enough to put it into practice?
Okay, so you were saved. Now what? I'm not called to be an evangelist or preacher, or even a teacher; what do I do now?
We walk across the road and walk with them a spell, meeting them where they are at. Later we return with fresh blessings.
Imagine for a moment, the most vile, wicked, evil human being you can think of. Now picture them being a part of your family!
Picking up where we left off yesterday; examining our life to make sure we are not the one's Jesus says, "Depart from me, I never knew you!"
Our salvation is far too important to assume. Let's take a look at where we are in Christ!
Our battle cry as a Christian is "I am trusting God for_____!" Yet through our prayers our heart is often revealed.
As believers we are filled with the same power that raised Jesus from the grave. That power is not given to not be under submission to authority.
Often times we as Christians focus on the wrong thing when talking to others about right and wrong.
The strategies of the enemy never change. Becoming the enemies pawn is always a threat to us.
Christians make many compromises when it comes to belief that if examined under the lens of Scripture, may leave you to question whether you are truly saved!
God is the Master Gardener. When He prunes us, it is out of love so embrace the pruning.
Ever play king of the hill as a kid? As children it can be a fun game, but as an adult, it takes on a whole different meaning.
Walk in humility and reverence. When laws become contrary to God, it is not an excuse to become divisive.
We cannot operate as a believer without The Holy Spirit, but we can operate as a religious person.
Jesus is the vine, we are grafted into Him to produce good fruit. How bitter is your fruit?
Transition of power can be an anxious thing for many believers. Particularly when the people assuming government power appear to be in opposition to Christian values. However, fear is not what we are about and it is an opportunity for the Church!
Jesus purchased our now freedom. Listen today as I share a story of a man I met and how he rejected his freedom.
Life will always throw curve balls to you. How the godly man or woman responds is what separates us from the people who are not among the elect.
There is so many things in this world we can focus on, but where do we find hope in the midst of it?
This is the last part of our 3 part series understanding how the prophecies of Ezekiel's day fit us today.
This is the second part of our 3 part series understanding how the prophecies of Ezekiel's day fit us today.
In many ways we are just like the Israelites in the Old Testament. The prophecies of Ezekiel are just as relevant to us today as they were then to the nation of Israel.
We continue in this episode of the second half of the Bible teaching regarding our path with God.
In this episode we begin our look into the difference between a dream or a vision in our life. This is part one or listen to the full episode without interruption under A Dream or a Vision - Full Episode.
In this teaching we look at the difference between a dream or a vision in our life and why finding our life vision from God is so important.
The same power that raised Jesus from the grave flows through you. Don't block the flow!
Are you just being a blessing out of your own power? Allow The Holy Spirit to power-up your attitude of blessings!
Be thankful. When it becomes hard, start with the small and allow it to build into a song of Thanksgiving!
So many times we deal with what we think is spiritual battle, when really it is just spiritual struggle. When we engage this way, we are beat-down and wore out because we become the focus of the battle.
If you have received the free gift of God's salvation, you also receive a new identity. Your old is passed away and the new is brought in!
All too often believers continue to walk in their old identity when God has forgiven you and given you a whole new identity!
Did you ever stop and think that God does not need us to work for His kingdom? He loves us so much, He invites us to work alongside of Him for His glory and His kingdom!
Probably the most difficult concept for us to really understand is the triune existence of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. I try to help us grasp this concept.
Scriptures to aide in understanding:
Col 1:19, John 14:9, Acts 3:15, John 1:1-3,14, Philippians 3:1-6, John 10:38, 17:11,21, 14:11
Jesus says to pick up our cross and follow Him. Paul reminds us that to share in the inheritance of Christ, we must also share in the struggles of Christ.
Opening your heart up and allowing God's love to flow through you over another person speaks value into that person
Love people, it is in loving people that we are able to tell them that they are valuable and have worth. Everyday we pass by people with little or o self-esteem and they desperately need someone to tell them they count. You are that person.
In Jesus parable about leaving the 99 to go after the one, did not make the 99 less important or the one more important. It demonstrates how important each person is.
Everybody, including you, has value in the eyes of The Lord. Since He created us, He gets to decide our worth, not the world, not someone else, and not you!
Christianity is all about relationships. Sometimes those relationships cause people to behave as your enemy. When that happens it cuts deep. How we respond is the most important thing at that point!
It is important that scripture is used and taught in context. People's eternity depend on right understanding of scripture.
With the LGBTQ lifestyle being force-fed to us these days, it is important to remember who we are and where they are.
Good people go to Heaven and bad people go to Hell is a lie. The defining line between Heaven and Hell is salvation alone!
We often hear the old adage "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade" I say, when life hands you lemons, turn to God! Allow His joy to burst forth in you, let a song be upon your lips!
Your time in the garden alone with The Lord is a necessary part of your Christian maturity and a vital part of others peoples life!
Of the five different places in which we find people dwelling, this place is the most dangerous of all for the believer. It is the darkest of all places.
When we are on our journey into God's promises in our life it can be a weary and tiring place. Refreshment and provision are things we need along the way.
Today we return to the island in the salt sea. We talk about the need for encouragement, patience, and love among believers.
In this next segment of our current series, we examine the land across the sea. People become complacent and our sinful nature is a platform for the enemy to destroy and cripple Christians.
In this episode we examine the second position in which people dwell. This is the Land of the shield. Reaching people for The Lord has to be done where people are at and not where wish they were.
In this multi-part series, we examine some foundational principles in which Christ-followers must keep at the forefront of their mind when dealing with non-believers.
In this series we explore not just the 2 types of people, but the types of behavior from a kingdom vantage point. This teaching goes along with my book titled "I Stood in a Tower"
Life can overcome us at times. Our strength comes from The Lord. When was the last time you paused to reflect on how good God is?
People do all kinds of bad things. Christ-followers do not need to tell them that the things they do are bad, we need to tell them about the hope found only through Jesus!
Approaching God in a casual and carefree style is lacking in the respect and adoration in which His Holiness demands. There is nothing you or I did to enable discourse between the creator of all things and ourself; this was solely God who made that happen.
Can you imagine being adopted by the wealthiest man in the world only to choose to accept his offer, but continue to live in poverty?
The wickedness of men knows no boundaries. Often times the actions of men make us want to cry out for severe punishment and death, but what is our place as members of The Elect?
There are only the redeemed and the unredeemed. Our interactions with both are very different.
Prayer is a foundation stone of our walk before The Lord. It is not just a series of correct words strung together and repeated in a religious exercise. It is a privilege; a personal forum of communication between you and The Creator of Heaven & Earth.

Have you ever read something in scriptures and thought "What the heck is this? Why is this being taught?" In today's podcast we look at Luke 14:26 and understand what Jesus means when He tells us to hate our spouse, children, and even parents.
Sometimes we have a past that comes back to haunt us. It can cripple our Christian walk with feelings of unworthiness and self-doubt. Understand that these are just effective, destructive, strategies of the enemy.
Have you ever received a promise from God? All of us do at one time or another, but how often do we really trust that God will fulfill that promise? Grow as a Christ-follower everyday. Check out more tools for your growth at www.mickeywilcox.org
