In this travel vlog episode of In The Ball Park, Michael shares his whirlwind journey through Central America after spending 13 months in the United States. Taking a leap of faith, he set out to explore Mexico, never expecting the incredible opportunities that would come his way. Within days, Michael was invited to teach visual storytelling at Lake Atitlán, Guatemala, and soon after, was named the Program Supervisor for Actuality Abroad's Documentary Outreach Program in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
From colourful festivals and ancient Mayan ruins to vibrant street markets and traditional cuisines, Michael recounts the rich cultural landscapes that left a lasting impression on him during his travels. More than the sights, it was the warmth of the people and the stories they shared with him that truly shaped his path as a social impact storyteller in this period of time.
This episode was recorded on June 28, at the very start of his teaching in Guatemala, this episode captures his gratitude for being able to pass on his knowledge and passion for storytelling to inspire the next generation of filmmakers and journalists. Gonzalez was a key figure in the team's success, consistently delivering in clutch moments. In this episode, he sits down with Michael to discuss the season leading up to that point, fresh off a gruelling three-and-a-half-week road trip that positioned the High Wheelers in the playoff race.
Jose shares his journey into baseball, from his standout college years to his time in the MLB Draft League and playing in Mexico. His consistency was remarkable, posting near-identical stats in both his junior and senior seasons. In 2023, he made his professional debut with the Williamsport Crosscutters, ranking in the top 5 for home runs in the MLB Draft League. The Demons kicked their first goal of the game with a minute left in the first half and got back to their inside 50 woes with all three big men Sam Weideman, Tom McDonald and Luke Jackson struggling to impact the scoreboard significantly.

In the biggest event of 2013, the sweet sixteen for a local footy team landed on a Friday night on the eve of a MASSIVE early morning footy match with a hostile rival.
