Have you ever had the experience of following a system or process really well - almost to a 'T" - and not getting the results you were hoping for? If this has happened to you, you are definitely not alone.
Too often, though, we think the problem we are trying to solve is external. We think we have a problem with a system or a strategy so we spend a lot of time and energy working to "fix it."
But the problem isn't external. How do I know? Because if it were an external issue it would have been fixed by now! (Clearly because you've done the work, right?!)
What's happening is there is something out of alignment and we need to make the shift from being problem-focused (external) to being POWER-focused (internal) and learn how to embody a more elevated version of YOU!
I'm sharing all the details this week in the podcast! I'll see you inside!

Being balanced is a lot less about productivity or having the right calendaring system in place or even allocating specific amounts of time to certain activities.
And as a productivity coach I wish it were all about the calendaring systems, because ya’ll know I love that…

Gandhi said, “There isn’t a path to peace. Peace is the path.” He was right!

So often we miss an opportunity to make a difference because we don’t feel confident we can help.
Instead of waiting to feel confident or doing the mind work around feeling confident, I want you to focus instead on building your self-confidence muscles.
Self-confidence is our ability to feel any emotion and open up to it instead of resisting or shrinking from it. Because this is ultimately what keeps us stuck when we fear feeling anything.
If you combine the tools I’ve shared over the last 4 weeks with you you will become unstoppable in making an impact.

… I was thinking, if she’s not familiar, most people probably aren’t either.

"Have a great summer - Don't change!" This is written all over the inside of my high school yearbooks. And honestly, at the time I probably wrote the same thing. LOL.
The difficult thing is most of the people in our lives want us to stay the same so they feel better about staying the same. Because change is hard. Staying the same is comfortable. But I'm guessing since you're here, staying the same is probably not what you want for your life.
Today on the podcast, I'm talking about who you BELONG to. When I say "belong" I'm talking about whose opinions of you matter. If we're not clear on this, we end up subconsciously trying to live up to someone else's expectations of our lives. And like I said, usually their expectations for us aren't awesome.

Have you ever felt like you’re doing all the things to reach a goal, but you’re super frustrated and discouraged with results?
I was there just this last week. In fact, I even said to one of my coaches, “Oh my goodness! I feel like I’ve tried everything.” And she said, “Ok, slow your roll. We’ve tried 2 things.”
She was right. We all have a little brain drama from time to time, amiright?! And THIS - the brain drama - is what feels so exhausting if we let it get away from us.
So in this week’s episode, I’m sharing build some mental muscles - like recognize which “Emotional Zone” you’re in and which one you need to be in to reach your goal - so you can keep moving forward toward your goals without burning out or giving up.

When I asked a woman a while back why she was interested in coaching she said, “I don’t really like me.”
I think this is more common than we realize. I could certainly relate.
But often we don’t realize the reasons WHY we don’t like ourselves. We think we don’t like us because of the way we behave, the circumstances that we live in, or because we feel so burned out and overwhelmed.
We don't realize we have options and we CAN like ourselves despite all of the things I just mentioned.
And this is so important because at the end of the day that’s what we have. And when we DON’T have a good relationship with us - it’s exhausting!
When we have our back, like our ideas and decisions, and are kind to ourselves it changes everything.
I can’t wait for you to join me. I’ll see you inside. xo, Janeen

Sometimes it’s even hard to recognize when we’re in the middle of it because we’re in it - we’re in the thick of it - and we sort of become desensitized to it.
But when it’s over, we’re exhausted. We’re drained.
And interestingly we don’t rest. We head straight to the cookies or we watch Netflix for days.

In the past when I didn't do something perfectly or, frankly, I really didn’t want to do something - I'd tell myself I'd just start again on Monday.

OR they feel like they have to be mean or unkind to stay motivated.
None of that is true.
You can actually LOVE your life and yourself and still strive for more. When we strike that balance our lives have so much more peace and joy.
I share all the details inside this episode. I hope you enjoy! xo, Janeen

Often we kill our productivity by taking an all-or-nothing approach to our goals or the things we’re trying to do.
By all-or-nothing I mean we try something out and want to knock it out of the park on the first try and when we don’t, we give up.
Over time, we aren’t satisfied and want to give it another try, but end up quitting soon after.
It goes without saying this start-and-stop approach to life is super frustrating because we end up going no where.
In this episode, I share how to toss the all-or-nothing approach to goal getting out the window - and of course I offer some tactical strategies to moving forward even if you’re not getting it perfect.

The little kids stage of life can be tricky because there definitely needs to be some flexibility to your schedule - it’s hard to plan on what kind of 2-year-old shenanigans will ensue during the day, am I right?
…but too much flexibility means you’re always feeling behind, playing ‘catch-up,’ and feeling frustrated that you can’t stay consistent on a project for more than 2 minutes (what’s the point?).
If you’ve ever wondered how to get things done with little kids underfoot I’ve got some pointers in today’s podcast.

I used to wait to ask for help when I was a weepy, blubbering mess. I’d wait until I was in the super struggle stage. I felt like asking for help meant I was weak. But the truth is, if we are thinking along these lines we spend so much time needlessly suffering.
The purpose of this episode today is to show you that asking for help is really a power move.
I share some personal stories about how I waited too long and what I’ve learned and what I’ve currently asked for help doing and how it’s all made the world of difference.
Like I said: Power. Move.

Do you ever project your frustration, disappointment, or even anger with yourself for not reaching a goal onto God? Especially if you’ve felt inspired by Him to go for something big? (If you could see me, I’m raising my hand.)
On this week’s podcast I’m sharing some personal experiences about goal setting and faith and how it used to be kind of a tangled, angsty mess and what it’s transformed into now.

If we can surrender into our life experience we can be so much more gentle with ourselves. Surrendering ultimately is just allowing what is. We understand that ‘there’ isn't better than ‘here.’ It's this acceptance of the way that things are right now, and knowing that the way that our lives unfold is happening for us.
Our life is always providing learning opportunities to help us to rise above our situations, to help us to understand that we are stronger than we think…
I talk all about how to surrender in this week’s podcast. I’ll see you inside! xo, Janeen
Here’s the truth: you can have anything you want - you truly do have enough time to make that happen…
…no matter your circumstances!
One of the ways to help you get your time back is to be aware of the crap fillers that are sneakily eating up your time during the day. Often in ways we don’t even realize.
They act like a leaky faucet with the time you have.
Time that could be used to play a supportive role (like folding laundry to help you stay on top of things) or even moving the needle in a big way to help you reach your goals (like getting in a 15 minute workout).
In today’s podcast, I go into detail about crap fillers - what they are and more importantly how to cut back on them to help you get your precious time back! I’ll see you inside! xo, Janeen
Do you ever feel like you'd be able to just chill the heck out if your schedule wasn't so packed?
If that's the case, you've made it to the right place today.
In this episode of the podcast, I am sharing a few power-packed tips to help you feel more relaxed - even if you feel like you have no time. I talk about how to soften into quiet spaces, use your breath to help you relax even if you're shopping at Walmart on Black Friday (not sure why you'd do that - just eliminating that trip will help you alleviate stress - but if you find yourself there, I've got you!), and how to unplug from your life without anxiety or FOMO. ("fear of missing out" - you probably knew that already, but I'm always asking my kids what all the acronymns mean.)
I share ALL the juicy details inside! Join me! xo, J

Have you ever wondered how to create content consistently - especially when you don't feel inspired? Or have you ever been concerned about monetizing a creative outlet because you're afraid it will zap all the fun out of the creative process?
In this week's podcast, I am going to talk about how to consistently show up with fresh ideas even if you're feeling stuck in a creative rut or you don't think your stuff is any good.
Because the truth is you're not alone - we all struggle with imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and our own inner gremlins (that don't go away!). So how do you keep cranking out content? I talk about all of it on this week's episode. I'll see you inside! xo, Janeen
I love listening to other podcasters, business mentors, authors, or people I follow on social media share a little bit about themselves.
When I listen or read about their lives, it creates a deeper connection and I feel like we’re friends.
So this week, despite this being slightly uncomfortable for me, I decided to pull back the curtain a little bit on my life and share a few things. Like the craziest thing I’ve ever done, my most embarrassing moment, what Merrill and I fight about… you know, things you might be wondering about, but not what I usually talk about on the podcast.
It’s a fun episode and I hope you enjoy it. xo, Janeen
Dealing with the 5th flood this year - on top of being a CSA farmer, a doula, being a mom to 5 (including one who was in a significant accident at the beginning of the summer and was in a wheelchair) - Elan has something to say about becoming peacefully productive.
In this week's episode, she talks about her journey, what she’s let go of, and how she’s said no…
….to create more time, space, and peace in her life.
I loved this conversation and I know you will too!
Enjoy! xo, Janeen
We all have holiday ideals of lazy afternoons stringing popcorn with our kids, cozying up by the fire with a feel good classic, and wrapping beautifully styled presents while your favorite holiday music plays in the background.
How does that dream turn into freezing your toes off in your fancy shoes for your spouses holiday party you don't even want to attend, wrapping presents until 2am and waking up to be the Grinch, and wearing yourself out baking and cooking food that doesn't even make you feel good all in the name of tradition?
This week's podcast episode is all about how to simplify your holidays to create more of your ideal life over the next couple months.
Join me inside this episode as I share ways I've cut back on the hustle and bustle of the season to actually enjoy yourself.

There isn't a person on the planet that is capable of doing ALL the things.
The truth is you can do ANYTHING, you just can't do everything - at least not all at once.
We are fed this idea that we can "have it all" in our culture, but the trade-off for trying to live that way is inevitable exhaustion, not to mention the frustration that comes from feeling like the watered-down efforts we put into too many things isn't giving us the results we want in anything. Have you ever felt that way?! I have many times!
One of my secret weapons to combat the societal pull to do too much is to lower the bar and still be awesome.
This is not about dropping the ball (which is so easy to do when you're overbooked and overwhelmed) - this is all about intentionally scaling back on things that you once thought were important to have the time to do what's truly important.
Like having photo-worthy, plant-based, 3-course meals (yes, I did this since I was a food blogger at one time).
I share some in-depth examples of how I do this on the podcast today. I'd love to have you join me! xo, Janeen
One of the things I’ve heard moms say is, “with all the things I juggle from my kids’ schedules, my work, running my household, and trying to stay on top of basic things without feeling behind and overwhelmed, I have no idea how to make my own needs and wants a part of the mix.”
If you can relate, this week’s podcast is for you! I share some tips from my own life on how to make this happen - even with everything you have on your plate.

Do you ever tell yourself “you should get the dishes done” as you're sitting on the couch trying to relax …
...or "you should be grateful" when you're super frustrated with your kids.

Do you ever want to give up on your goal because you feel like you’ll NEVER get there (so why bother)?
We often have so much shame and pain around reaching a goal we talk ourselves out of it.
We tell ourselves we’re just fine the way we are - we’re supposed to love ourselves anyway right?
If you’re doing this, you have to listen to this week’s episode! We talk about how you can actually ENJOY and love yourself all along the way toward your amazing goal.
Stop giving up on yourself! Your dreams, wants, and desires are more important than you may realize (I cover that too!).

Whether that’s going back to school, changing seasons, moving to a new job or even a new state - there are ways we can pivot successfully.

It's one of the best ways to help you get things done!

We have plenty of time. How do we know? Because we’re all granted the same 24 hours. Some people get So. Much. Done. and others… well, they flounder, feel behind, and struggle to stay on top of things.
If you’re like me and have been in that 2nd group more than you’d like to admit, I’ve got the perfect podcast for you today!
One of the easiest ways to get some time back is to minimize distractions - particularly our phones.
Although our phones are highly useful tools, they can also be a huge distraction to getting to things done.
In this episode of the podcast, I am sharing some of my most helpful tips to help you minimize this distraction to help you get some of your precious time back. Enjoy! xo, Janeen
After interviewing and taking notes on what women have to say when it comes to WHY they get burned out, I realized there were 4 themes that continued to rise to the surface of these conversations.
So good to know because when we know what category of burnout we’re experiencing, we better know how to solve for that burnout.
In this episode, I not only give explanations for each but, of course, solutions as well. If you want to know what kind of burnout you're experiencing, feel free to take the quiz off my webiste janeenalley.com.
In this week’s episode of the podcast, I interviewed my amazing friend and life coach, Lori Schlegel. She has been a professional organizer for the last 10 years and she is currently in the middle of a pivot in her business - moving away from organizing to Christian life-coaching for women.
We talk about how organizing is a form of self-care. She shares three amazing tips on how we can be more organized - not just for our peace-of-mind - but how it helps us get things done in a more peacefully productive way.
She was also gracious enough to dive into what this pivot experience has looked like in her life: how she knew it was time to pivot, the struggles she's had moving away from something familiar and secure into so many unknowns, and managing her mind around all the mind drama that comes up when we make a big move that feels scary and undertain.
There are so many nuggets of wisdom in this episode from tactical tips to mindset work! I can't wait for you to have a listen and learn along with me. xo, Janeen
Today, I’m sharing my story and the reasons why I do the things I do. Mostly to help you know you’re not alone... and maybe avoid the same mistakes I’ve made.
This episode gets a little feisty so if you have little ones around you might want to put some headphones in. :-)
I’m so excited to be back! In this episode, I talk about what to expect from the podcast moving forward (because some things are the same and some things have changed).
I also share my #1 productivity tip - that might seem a little counterintuitive. :-) But hear me out… as a someone who wrote the book on spinning, hustling harder, and burnout I’ve learned a thing or two about how to truly become peacefully productive.
Enjoy!
I feel like there are a lot of you out there that spend too long spinning in indecision. Indecision ends up being a holding pattern because you're not moving forward - either saying yes or no - because of your fear of making the 'wrong' decision.
There are no 'wrong' decisions.
There are only opportunities to grow.
I made a really big decision this week and wanted to walk you through the process of how I came to my decision and how I dealt with all the brain DRAMA.
Even when you listen to your gut, there's still drama!

Have you ever noticed that you mirror the people who are around you? When someone is happy or sad, it's contagious, right?
That's called mirroring and it's something we innately do as human beings. It's a way we connect with others and normally it can be super helpful - except when it's not.
And it's not helpful when someone is modeling less-than-ideal behavior, like they're yelling for example, and we mirror that.
On this week's podcast, I'm talking about how to STOP mirroring other people and to really listen to what they are saying so we stay in control and show up intentionally.
These are two tools I have learned that have been GAME-CHANGING for me. Join me!

What does tradition mean to you? What does it mean in your overall sense of well-being? When you look forward to holiday events with your family or friends, what are your over-arching emotions? Do you feel peace and excitement or do you feel a sense or dread or obligation to be there? Why? Join me as we get into the topic of traditions and family and what they mean and what we WANT them to mean. Because, in truth, traditions are optional - so let's make sure we show up intentionally. I'm so excited to have my friend and Restorative Yoga teacher, Kristine Whittle, on the podcast today talking about the importance of rest.
Rest is different than sleep and it is so important! Particularly at this time, when we're all buzzing with a higher-than-normal baseline of stress if we're not careful and intentional about allowing our Sympathetic Nervous System to get a break.
We talk about HOW to rest and how to fit it in when life feels busy and full. I'll see you there! Xo, Janeen

You know the drill: You set a goal. Write it down. Follow through... or you try to follow through.
Often times, our momentum wanes and we get stuck or fall off the wagon. And we get so darn frustrated!
You want in on the secret sauce of sticking with it and reaching your goal?
Courage and grit.
Because EVEN IF we had the perfect plan or a step-by-step manual for how to accomplish a goal (which we often don't), but even if we did, we'd still have to apply courage and grit.
Because we're human and we distracted by shiny objects and brownies.
If you want to know what this looks like in a real-life example, I share it all on the podcast today - all about COURAGE and GRIT!

We're also discussing juicing - and why it's NOT the best use of your money or time for optimum health.

I know a lot of people suffer from issues that can be tied directly to the gut. Things like heartburn, abdominal pain, gas, bloating, diarrhea and constipation.
But did you know that there are other health issues that we struggle with that might not seem directly related to our gut, but are? Things like brain fog, mood imbalances, anxiety, how healthy your skin is, joint pain and bad breath?
Our gut is so involved in how our body functions overall. The good news is, when we take care of our gut it helps us to eliminate cravings, strengthens our immune system, boost energy, and, of course, help us resolve embarrassing digestive issues.
This might not be the sexiest topic to talk about on the podcast, but it is one of the most profound things to understand if you care about your health.

Our self-judgment is often a thought about a thought we have in our minds.
For example, we might feel envious of someone and secretly wish for their failure, and then judge ourselves with a thought like, "you shouldn't think that! What a horrible person you are!"
Like that's helpful.
It's interesting when we think or feel something we think we 'shouldn't' we often try to escape it with a judgmental thought. It's almost like we're trying to shame ourselves into feeling something different. It doesn't work.
Join me on the podcast as I talk about how to effectively deal with our self-judgment so we stop compounding our pain.

Resistance emerges as soon as we get into the discomfort zone.
We feel anxious, an urge to overeat, get overwhelmed, feel humiliated... and we want to make it stop.
So we resist.
There are lots of ways this happens. Sometimes we eat. We tell ourselves we're too busy. We procrastinate, defer decisions, lose interest, become disorganized, forgetful.
Sometimes it feels like we're white-knuckling our way through life because we don't want to feel "bad."
I totally get it, but it's not helpful. Because anytime we resist an emotion, like one of my friends just said, it goes down to the basement and lifts weights! It gets stronger.
The solution? We stop resisting.
Join me in this episode, as I share how to stop resisting and experience our emotions to the fullest so WE can be in control of our life, not our emotions.

Did you know that quitting is a habit? This is what it looked like for me: I'd commit to something. I'd quit. I'd be mad at myself for quitting and I'd despair so then I'd commit again.
Commit. Quit. Despair. Repeat.
They weren't big quits.
They'd be little ones where I'd tell myself a nice story like,
"You deserve this - you can just start again tomorrow." Quit.
"You're tired? How about a nap?" Quit.
"You don't want to? Let's hop on Instagram!" Quit.
Does this sound familiar?
No need to beat yourself up! I've got some great news: this is a pattern that is learned and we can unlearn it! Hallelujah!

Learning how to live with uncertainty without anxiety is so freeing. We are living through a time with unparalleled opportunity to learn how to live with peace and keep moving forward. The truth is, uncertainty is not new. Tomorrow has never been guaranteed, despite our best laid plans. Uncertainty is a fact of our existence. The anxiety comes from thinking we should know something when we don't - we think something has gone wrong or we're doing it wrong. What if nothing's wrong? What if we aren't supposed to know? (We actually aren't supposed to know. How do I know? Because we don't. Fighting against this is a waste of our time and energy...) On this episode of the podcast, I talk about how to channel our energy into things we can control. I'll see you there! Xo, Janeen For show notes: www.janeenalley.com/93
It's definitely okay to think what you think, and like what you like, and be who you are!
For some of us this is such a difficult thing to do because we're so worried about how it's all going to be received by other people.
As a recovering people please this was a tough lesson for me to learn, but what I discovered is that when we lie to ourselves or other people about who we are, we end up hating ourselves and sacrificing our most important relationship (the one with US!).
We feel resentful, angry, annoyed... it's not a healthy place to be!
In this episode, we talk about the amazing benefits (and the trade-offs) of living our truth! It's been a great lesson for me to learn and I'm excited to share it with you.

On today's podcast, I wanted to talk about the powerful practice of journalling and how it can improve your relationship to yourself and how to use it to light your creative fire.
Don't get me wrong, I have not always enjoyed writing. In fact, I used to hate it. Whenever I'd get a writing assignment in class, I would get this horrible, sick feeling in my gut. I'd drag my feet and wait until the last minute to finish my paper.
About 10 years back, I was challenged by a mentor friend of mine (who was a writer), to start writing. I thought, "What could I possibly write about?... I'd rather poke my eyes out with a fork."
But I'm so glad I started.

Hey there, mama! Let me ask you, after you set a goal does the motivation start to wane over time?
Do you start to hear a familiar voice that says:
"I know how this is going to go: you're going to try really hard, you'll do really well for a while, then something will happen and you'll stop...
...You know this isn't going to work. You're going to fail."
Eventually you decide that if failure is inevitable, you might as well just fail right now. You fail ahead of time.
Instead of 'wasting' all the time, energy, resources to reach a goal, you might as well just get a head start on failing and do it now, right?!?
NO! You are looking to your past for evidence on how things will play out in the future. This seems logical, but it's the worst way to reach a goal.
This podcast episode is how to connect with your future self - the one who HAS reached all the goals - and live into THAT energy to get what you want.
Not the past.
We talk about how to do that on this show so you can change your future into something exciting!

I'm super excited to bring my husband, Merrill, back on the show.
He just returned from his remote military assignment in Turkey where he spent the last 15 1/2 months by himself.
We talk on the show today about his specific challenges and, more importantly, how he overcame the physical, mental and emotional obstacles he faced to THRIVE overall and come home healthy and strong.
This one is a gem! I think you'll be able to relate to his struggles and be able to implement the strategies in your own life to help you THRIVE as well.
See you on the inside. Xo, Janeen

Eating is one of the most time-consuming activities we do.
Every week, we've got to plan the food, shop for the food, prepare it, consume it, and clean up afterwards. Sometimes, multiple times a day.
There are lots of excuses, hiccups and hang-ups when it comes to eating healthy.
Today on the podcast, I am pulling back the curtain to talk about how I've made this healthy food process work in different countries and cultures despite language, location, and, sometimes, economic barriers to help you overcome some of the obstacles you face in your life.
I'll see you on the inside! Xo, Janeen

Have you ever tried to take on a project and felt like it was a total slog and, even if you wanted to do it, you just couldn't get yourself to follow through or show up the way you wanted to?
On this week's episode of the podcast, we're talking about the natural balance of energy in your body, your day, your month and how to work WITH that energy instead of against it.
Join me as I talk about how to be more purposeful, productive, joyful and patient by aligning yourself with the natural energy that is all around us to help you get into 'flow'.

On today's episode, we are exploring what we think about fit people.
What goes through your mind when you see a super fit person? A mom who has a gaggle of kids and a six pack, for example.
Sometimes those thoughts aren't super kind or something we would say out loud, but they are still there playing out in our brains - and keeping us stuck.
That's right. If you have the thought, "I don't want to be fit, I want to be happy... or, I want time with my family... or, I don't want to be vain..." you won't be able to reach your goals because you most likely don't want to be those things.
Join me today as we explore these kinds of thoughts and how to turn them around so you CAN move forward with a weight loss goal!

Changing your diet is more than just eating more veggies. If it were that easy, there would be a lot more healthy people, right?
There are cultural and social shifts, how to shop, prep, and cook your food differently, not to mention the physiological changes your body goes through when you change your diet.
On today's show, I am sharing what I've learned about nutrition transitions over the last 16 years of eating plant-based and helping others take the leap. I'll see you there! Xo, Janeen

Lately, have you been feeling like you're not sure which way is 'up'? Maybe you've had a hard time focusing, or you've been getting super distracted, or you've been feeling some intense negative emotions.
There has been SO much going on recently that there have been days, I'm not gonna lie, I've felt like I'm completely sideways.
On today's podcast, I am talking about how to get back on your feet when you've been bumped off the wellness train.
When this happens, what we want to do is to try to get back on track where we fell off. For example, if we were consistently going to the gym before, we want to try to start up again doing that same thing.
What I have found, though, is starting where we left off is not usually the best idea because there is a PATH. A tried-and-true wellness path. And if we try to jump onto the path at the middle without checking to make sure we are doing the first steps, we're going to fall off the wellness train AGAIN. And that's not what I want for you.
If you need help figuring out where to start, join me for the conversation on today's show. I'll see you there! Xo, Janeen

Today, I am diving into the race conversation that has been so prevalent and so long overdo.
I feel so inadequate as a white woman to share because I realize I've been so ignorant to how I've been part of the problem. I've spent so much time over the last two weeks listening and learning and I know I've still got a long way to go...
BUT! I wanted to jump and talk about what I know - and that's HOW to change. And how to change in regards to this tough topic. As well as what I'm going to do, personally, to change and keep evolving.
I hope you join me for this conversation.
I'd love to learn from you. Xoxo, Janeen

Are you someone who would like to make some changes, but you struggle to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to go?
You might know what to do to reach your goals (most people know they need to eat more veggies and exercise more), BUT! You have a hard time following through on the things you tell yourself you're going to do in a 24-hour period of time.
You tell yourself, "I don't want to... I would rather eat something else... I deserve a little break... " And then at the end of the day, you tell yourself, "I'll try again tomorrow... or maybe I'm just not cut out for this... I'm just not motivated."
If that is you, you're definitely not alone. I used to hate writing down New Year's Resolutions because I felt like, "why should I write anything down, it's nothing new! It's going to look exactly the same as it did for the last 5 years!"
Until, I learned how to follow through on my word to myself. And that's what this podcast episode is all about: The Follow Through Formula!
There are just three simple steps. If you want to learn more, I'll see you on the inside!

Weight loss is something I actually don't discuss a lot on the podcast because it is a secondary effect of amazing self-care and overall wellness.
Because the truth is, we all know diets don't work. Deprivation and binging don't work!
But I know that losing weight is a constant source of frustration for people - they just want to MOVE ON with their life and improve their relationship with food.
Interestingly, I've noticed so many people live in fear of food: what to eat, how much to eat, just being around food, and knowing the all-to-familiar feelings of being out of control and feeling like if they just eat all the cake it won't tempt them any more....
...then feeling disgusting and so sick of yourself. You want a break from your diet and hating yourself so you eat all the food to feel better.
Ughghg! Does this resonate?!?
Today, I'm discussing 4 weight loss or nutrition myths to help you on your journey to be healthier (and lose the weight)!

If you're like most people you're not speaking your body's language.
Sure, you hear it when it aches and pains, but are you noticing the subtle ways your body is telling you HOW to take better care of it?
If not, that's totally normal. Culturally, we're detached from our bodies and their messages. Usually when we don't feel well we look for medications and surgeries to fix our problems. We're looking for an outside solution to an inside problem.
Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for physicians - I know they are doing their best.
"Normal" isn't helping us tune into the wisdom of our bodies to know what they need to be healthy.
In this episode, I talk to you about the importance of really tuning into your body to speak it's language and HOW to actually do that. I'll see you there! Xoxo, Janeen

You are the ONLY one who gets to make the decisions about your emotional home - how you are generally feeling on a daily basis.
Have you ever noticed someone else's emotional home? People can be GENERALLY content or worried or consistently blaming others for their problems or overwhelmed... You know those people.
How about YOU? What does your emotional home look like? Is it chaotic? Stressed? Anxious? Insecure?... Or maybe even optimistic, generous, grateful...?
I have lived in an emotional home of stress, depression, anxiety that I BUILT! - but now my emotional home looks vastly differently (thank goodness).
Building an INTENTIONAL emotional home is the best thing you can do to weather any emotional storm.
In this episode, I show you how to build an emotional home of stability, strength, love... I'll see you there! Xo, Janeen

I saw a meme this week that said, "Somedays you just have create your own sunshine." True, and somedays that is more difficult than others, right?
Today on the podcast, I talk about how to actually GENERATE energy through movement.... How to create your own sunshine and not wait around until your circumstances change (Corona blows over, the weather changes, you can get a haircut again...)
Movement can be a phenomenal tool to support you not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.
I know there are a lot of women in survival mode right now - who are feeling spent, feeling hopeless. I get you! I've been there too.

What would you do differently in your life if you felt like you were worthy to reach your goals? Or you thought you were ENOUGH? Not just "good enough," but enough as a human.
This is a topic I'm exploring on the podcast today because it has come up a lot for myself in my self-coaching, as well as in conversations I've had with others over the last couple of weeks.
I'm sharing my strategies to recognize HOW and WHEN these often subconscious thoughts are keeping you stuck. Like when you're in a comparison trap, you're believing your inner critic, and you're over-identifying with your circumstances...
When we feel enough and worthy to reach our goals, we have permission to live from confidence, abundance, and self-love. That's exactly what I want for you!

In this episode, I share my secret sauce to keeping my fire stoked, my engines revved and ready, my energy levels UP!

... I "should" cook healthier.
... He "should" put the toilet seat down

That's what we really want when we set a goal, right? - we want to become something new.
We don't become something new when we set out to run a marathon and stop running after the event is over...
... or when we decide to give up sugar for a certain period of time to just return to our old eating habits after the time expires.

Before ANYTHING is created physically (like a goal) it has to be created spiritually first as an idea, a thought, a "what if..." - something abstract.
In order for us to reach those creative ideas and goals, we have to intentionally slow ourselves down so that we can hear them in the first place and we can check our nay-sayer thoughts (we all have them) that keep us from taking action.
This episode is all about how to create intentional SPACE in our lives to help us reach our big goals and dreams: on the calendar, in our environment, emotionally, and mentally.
I'm super excited to share this with you! I'll see you on the inside! For show notes: www.janeenalley.com/58.
I am a big believer in making sure your kitchen is set up to make healthy living easy and doable. Over the last several years, I've honed in on five wellness systems that are critical for a holistic, health approach. I call them my Five to Thrive Pillars for Success. Without these five, amazing health isn't possible. (I know, that's a bold statement, but I back it up inside!) I'm sure you guessed that fitness and food are included, but that only covers ONE of my pillars - physical health - and it is the last pillar I teach. The reason why most people can't stick to their New Year's Resolutions is because they leave the other 4 pillars off their list. Curious what these could be? Join me inside of the podcast where I talk about what they are and how to get it done. I'll see you there. Xo, J For show notes, head over to www.janeenalley.com/56
If we are constantly berating ourselves for the way we look or hating our bodies because of our imperfections, that is INFORMATION our bodies use to function. Research shows that hating your body, not only makes you emotionally and mentally miserable, but it makes you sick and unwell as well. Who wants that? Probably not you, but that is what MOST of us are doing if our thoughts go unchecked. On today's podcast, I get into the specific thoughts we have about our bodies and HOW to change them to something positive. Something that will support us in our lives and the goals we want to achieve. At the end, I talk about some of my favorite phrases you can use to change your thinking. I'll see you there! Xo, J For show notes, head over to: www.janeenalley.com/55
Here's the truth: when we FEEL GOOD, we are so much more likely to get what we want. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people walking around who are unaware of ways they are keeping themselves from their goals and dreams because they are marinating in fearful thoughts. And it's not like these are obvious, but any time we compare, judge, get defensive, have an impulse to control, we're anxious, depressed... these are ALL fear-based thoughts. And they keep us stuck. When we are feeling these things we aren't able to attract what we truly desire into our lives. On today's show, I discuss how we can change our fear-based thoughts into love and faith to become a super attractor for ALL the good things. Yes, all of it. I'll see you there! xo, J For show notes: www.janeenalley.com/54

Sometimes I get questions from people who are wondering about how to share healthy information with other people. I get this: you hear something amazing and you automatically think about someone else who could use the information, right? "How can I get my mom in a healthier place?" We often look for solutions to problems outside of ourselves. We end up wasting so much time comparing and wishing we were someone else. "It would be easier if I were so-and-so..." Not true, my friend. Did you know that the specific antidote - the solution to your problems - lies within you? This is why it is so important for us to know what our strengths are AND how to use them to grow. It can feel a little awkward for us to start looking for strengths - we might feel like we are boasting or arrogant. The truth is our failure to see the greatness within each of us is denying our God-given gifts to bless our lives and the lives of others. Join me as I take a deep dive into how to discover your strengths and how to use them to to bless the world. See you on the inside. xo, J For show notes go to: www.janeenalley.com/51

Whether you're talking about your food, your space, your curling iron, whatever, we need to use boundaries to let others know what we will stand for in our lives. And let's be clear: if you want to reach your goals in LIFE, you need to learn how to set boundaries because no one is ever going to care as much as you do about your dreams, your priorities, or your stuff. In today's episode I share a bunch of examples that illustrate just how to set boundaries (and how NOT to) and how to do it in a loving way. See you there! For show notes: www.janeenalley.com/50
The winter time can be a tough time for people. Not only are the blues (or seasonal depression) a struggle this time of year, but there seems to be ample opportunities for energy output: parties, service, concerts, shopping, running around that can get us stuck in a downward spiral if we're not careful. As someone who has struggled with the winter Blues, I wanted you to make sure you are doing a few things to keep your energy balanced heading into the season. I know from personal experience that taking good care of yourself this time of year can help to bring you joy, not the grumps. I'll see you inside. For the show notes, go to: www.janeenalley.com/49
The holidays are upon us! No matter what holiday you celebrate, there is likely to be decadent food involved. Ooof! So what do you do?! I'll tell you what I used to do. It all started with stocking up on Halloween candy to get prepped for the trick-or-treaters - that I inevitably would get into. I had to run back to the store a time or two to make sure I had enough - promising myself that I would STOP eating it all. That started the Great Holiday Annual Binge that lasted through Valentine's Day! When I realized that was a THIRD of my year, I knew there had to be a better way. So, true to my nature, I figured it out! In this episode, I talk about the shifts I had to make in order to keep my health integrity through my most difficult time of year. How often do we wish away time away? We want to reach the goal NOW or we are looking forward to something in the future - like a holiday - so we get distracted with what that will look like: wishing, dreaming, longing for the future date. The problem with that is that we aren't present in the moment. Right now. Have you ever stopped to think what that's costing you? It's costing you the present moment, for sure, but often it actually costs you your goal. All the details inside. See you there! See the show notes @ www.janeenalley.com/47
I love to learn more behind-the-scenes content of my favorite podcasters' lives. I get really into the shows where they share information about some personal things because it creates a stronger connection between me and their world. Join me this week as I talk about HOW to create a brand new habit. And have it stick. Something I see all the time - and I have been guilty of this myself - is biting off more than we can chew. We get so focused on the finish line and what our life is going to look like after we reach our goal, we forget to make the daily changes necessary to create the transformation. Here's the truth when it comes to reaching our goals and dreams: the goal is totally different than the system or habit it takes to get us there. Often these changes are messy and unglamorous and it feels like grunt work. The key to making lasting change is not what you might expect (spoiler alert: fortunately, it doesn't require any motivation or willpower). If you're curious what it takes, I'll see you on the inside. For show notes go to: www.janeenalley.com/44.
Have you ever felt super overwhelmed when it comes to creating a new habit? There are so many things you could do - where to even start?! In this week's episode, I share five simple, yet powerful wellness habits that will take you less than 15 minutes a day TOTAL. Yes, they will help you feel amazing, but more importantly they will help kick start your wellness journey OR help you kick it up a notch if you already have a routine. I am willing to bet that one or two of these habits will be brand new for you. Curious? I'll see you there!
In this episode, we are discussing the gift of gratitude that we can give ourselves to help us get out of a rut emotionally, mentally and physically. Gratitude helps us feel more abundant, resilient, alive... it even fosters better relationships and helps to improve our sleep. Do you struggle to say "no" to things and end up feeling resentful that you're overbooked and have too much on your plate? No is usually not a popular response, but it doesn't mean you can't say "no" and be kind, dignified and graceful in your response to others. Join me on this episode where I discuss the reasons why we say "yes" and how to say "no" more often.
Keeping your environment clean and clutter free is a form of self-care. Why? Because our environment affects our quality of life. Even if no one will ever see the inside of our linen closet, WE WILL! If our environment is cluttered and chaotic, and crammed with stuff - that is reflected in the way we are thinking and feeling as well. This episode is all about creating an environment where you can THRIVE! One that supports your life and your values so that you are at peace in your space. Obstacles can be so discouraging. They can keep us stuck for years! I am hearing from you your fears and insecurities about how to move forward when you bump into a road block so I wanted to address it on this week's podcast. Here's the truth: The obstacles are the way. Wait... what?! As soon as we say YES to a goal, we say YES to all the obstacles as well. All of them. Even the super annoying or seemingly impossible ones. This week, I share some recent experiences I had with different kinds of obstacles and how I got through it. And I share 3 tips at the end you can apply to ANY obstacle to help you get through it. I'll see you on the inside! xo, J
Are you waiting to get to the gym UNTIL you know exactly what your workouts are going to be? Or do you feel like you can't move forward with eating more plants UNTIL you know exactly what you're going to make or UNTIL you know exactly what recipes are going to WOW your kids? Maybe you're waiting to get started UNTIL you can eliminate all distractions? Here's the thing: you will never have it all figured out. You gotta move forward even when it's not perfect. Words like "until" totally keep us stuck. So so our secret rules and hiding in our favorite places (like email) or letting our noble objections get in the way (which are just glorified excuses in disguise). ALL of these things are just ways perfectionism sneaks into our lives and tells us if we can't do it "just right" we might as well just bag the whole thing. NOT TRUE! You CAN move forward and get to your finish line, but you have to know how these are showing up in YOUR life to keep you stuck. Join me! I'll walk you through it. xo, Janeen
One of my biggest hurdles to achieving a big goal was perfectionism. Perfectionism is tricky, because it masquerades as a positive quality. I want to produce high quality work (and I still do), but if it was "just right" it would keep me stuck. Not anymore! My good enough, has to be good enough if I want to FINISH. Perfectionism is something I feel like a lot people can relate to to some degree. If we can't complete our 4 mile run that we planned - and only have time for 2 miles - we bag the whole thing. If we can't do it ALL, why bother? Why bother?! Because doing your best in the moment is better than nothing and will still get you results - but better yet, it keeps the momentum going! In this episode, I share some of Jon Acuff's secrets to getting to the finish line (from his book, FINISH). This book was so good, I am going to do a part 2 (coming soon!). Tune in right now to learn how you can overcome the All of None narrative that keeps us as chronic starters Let's get to the finish line!
Trying to be consistent when you are a busy mom can feel like one of the mysteries of the universe! You might be thinking: Right! How can I consistently exercise and eat healthy when each day has different challenges and ever-changing schedules?! In this episode, I am going to share the EXACT details for how you can be consistent with your exercise and your food - even when there are so many things to juggle. Curious? You gotta tune in! I'll see you there!
Have you ever eaten something - or not - due to social pressure at a potluck or dinner together with friends? This is tricky to navigate sometimes. Let me be super clear: What other people think about what you're eating is none of your business. Easier said than done. In this episode, I help you break free from the social pressures to conform to other people's expectations - or your thoughts about their thoughts about your food - which are still your own thoughts. (Wait... what?) If that was confusing, don't worry, I've got you covered. We're breaking it all down in this episode so you can go to parties and just enjoy the company instead of worrying about the food you're eating. See you there!
One of the things I hear quite a bit from moms when I ask them WHY they want better health is to be able to PLAY with their kids. Play is so important, not only for our physical health, but also for our mental and emotional health as well. In this episode, I dive into some of the science behind why play is powerful and how you can start implementing playful patterns in your life to reap the benefits. Play helps relieve stress, improve brain function, boost your mood and have more fulfilling relationships... and so much more! If you want to learn more about HOW you can play more and DEVELOP more of your playful side, I'll see you on the inside!
Do you ever wonder what it's like to be coached or mentored? Does the thought of reaching out for help make you nervous? Or are you someone who thinks you've got so many other things you could be spending your time or money on? Have you wondered if it is really worth it? Spoiler alert: It is totally worth it! While we were on vacation, I had the chance to meet one of my early mentors, Angie. She absolutely changed my life! In this episode, I talk about our relationship and what it was like for me to be coached in a 1:1 setting with her. I share details about some of the projects she gave me and why they were so pivotal for me on my journey. If you're on the fence about mentoring or what it looks like OR how to be someone who gets results while being mentored - you've got to tune into this week's episode. I'll see you there!
Do you like the relationship you have with food? What are you making food mean? What if I told you those results were directly related to your current thoughts about food? Are you making it mean connection, comfort, therapy, pleasure...? We all have a relationship with food that is influenced by our culture and that is decided upon by us. We are operating from those thoughts - even if they are ones that we didn't consciously choose. In this episode, I help you get clear on what you WANT your thoughts to mean so you can change your results.
Do you feel like you're working your buns off, busy all day, and you have nothing to show for it!? The problem comes when you start creating identities from your lack of results. You start spinning tails that you weren't born with lucky genes or maybe this is just life with kids. Not true. In this episode, I walk you through the RESULTS formula - primarily focusing on Step #3: taking MASSIVE action to get those results that you desire deep down that you are not getting. There is nothing wrong with YOU!, just your approach. So tune in to learn how to start taking massive action to get what you want and start to see things change. I'll see you on the inside!
You interested in the biggest life hack around? SLEEP. Not super exciting maybe, but it really is the best productivity hack, relationship hack and health hack there is.
Who isn't showing up better when they're well-rested?! Not me.
There's a problem though. Sleep is usually the first thing that gets cut when we feel like there is too much to do. I remember thinking, "If I can just wake up consistently at 3am, I KNOW I will be able to get it all done." That thought is not only incorrect, but also unsustainable. Because when we are sleep deprived we are literally cutting off our main source of energy and rejuvenation - compromising our health in the process (mentally, emotionally and physically).
So what is a busy mom going to do? THAT is what we're covering in this week's podcast: why sleep is so important and how to get better quality sleep. I'll see you there!
Have you ever gotten to a place where you felt super impatient while you're trying to reach a goal? Let's say it's losing weight and you think: why is this taking SO long? Or you think, why do I continue to battle with this same thing over and over again!? It shouldn't be THIS hard, right? There have been many times I've doubted that it's even WORTH my time to try to fight the same fight over and over again. Sometimes we even question our worthiness to achieve the goal if our results aren't happening when we want them to happen. We think there is something wrong with us. Have you ever felt like that? I have. So today, I am talking about honoring the struggle. The struggle that creates a different outcome - one that we aren't expecting, but is so much better than our goal: BECOMING.
Have you ever wondered why you can't exercise or follow through on the big promises you make to yourself that you will start on Monday? You think: it's so hard to make time for myself OR I'm just not motivated. I talk to a lot of people who feel broken or frustrated because they can't figure out how to be consistent and make their good intentions stick long-term. I recently finished The Four Tendencies by Gretchen Rubin and I loved it! I loved how well she described four personality types and what MOTIVATES each one. Here's the good news: there's nothing wrong with you! You just have never thought about your unique strengths and weaknesses when it comes to getting things done for YOU. This episode, will help you shed a little light on how to do that. Are you excited?! Me too. I'll see you on the inside.
Have you ever fallen off the health wagon and taken weeks or months to get back on?! Me too! There have been many times when life has thrown me some curve balls and it has completely derailed me from taking good care of myself. In this episode, we are talking about how to get back on your feet and recover fast. I have come up with a handy system called my RESET SYSTEM to get me back on track without delay that I share in this podcast episode. Want to learn how? Join me!
Are you interested in switching to a more plant-based lifestyle, but you're concerned about getting in enough calcium? If you are, I totally understand because I've been there. In this episode, I take a deep dive into the incredible plant sources of calcium to not only alleviate any concerns you might have about getting in enough calcium, but also assure you that making the switch is hugely beneficial for your health. By actually moving away from cow's milk you are making a smart move toward stronger bones and a healthier outcome. Curious!? Join me! See you on the inside!
In this week's podcast, I give some concrete tools to help you when you're feeling overwhelmed. Because here's the truth, being overwhelmed is a pretty universal emotion. We're all guilty of biting off more than we can chew, saying yes to too many things, burning the candle at both ends... life can start to pile up to the point where we really do feel like we're drowning in overwhelm! And I don't know about you, but instead of taking a break I want to push through. Most of the time that is NOT a good a strategy. Today, I am breaking down overwhelm to help you see it for what it is AND, of course, to give you some actionable strategies to help you get your feet back under you and create some emotional space so you can breathe again. Sound good? I will see you on the inside!
What is the best emotion? There are lots good ones! Love is probably my favorite. Why? Because when I feel love, I feel like I can do anything! I am okay just the way I am. My worth is not determined by my accomplishments or mistakes or anything else. Too often we are trying to hate ourselves toward success and it NEVER works long-term. It might motivate us for a little while, but our self-care not sustainable. We end up self-sabotaging. How can we love ourselves more to help us become what aspire to? Tune in to this episode to find out!
Here in Denver, just like in many other places, we've had such wacky spring weather. We've had hail, bomb cyclones, snow, lots of rain and I have had to be ON IT in terms of taking good care of myself to maintain a positive outlook and mood. In this episode, I talk about my struggle with seasonal depression (or seasonal affective disorder) and how I have been able to regain my life naturally without the use of medication. I share all my tips and tricks to help me feel good even when it is gray and cold outside. Even if you don't struggle with depression, you probably know someone who does. As always, feel free to share this episode with a loved one!
When it comes to truly being productive we have bought into the idea that we get more done so that... we can get more done!! Amiright?! Culturally this is true. However, this is not healthy and here's why. If we are constantly trying to get more done to get more done we create a vicious cycle because the truth is: it's NEVER 'done.' There is always more to do. We never stop, we're always on and it feels super chaotic and nutso. In this episode, I talk about the healthier outlook on productivity is to get more done so you can create FREEDOM in your life. Freedom to focus, be spontaneous and more present in your life or DO NOTHING if you want to. That's a much healthier way to live and that's what I want for you. So tune in to learn HOW to do this in your own life! That's right! You can! See you on the inside!
YOU are your greatest asset and figuring out how to invest in yourself is well-worth the effort. There are ways to be super healthy even if your finances are tight. I like to look at it this way: you are going to invest in your health either on the front end in the form of fresh foods and fun fitness or on the back end with doctors visits, medications, surgeries and poor quality of life. Which sounds better? In this episode, I walk through a few ways you can still have outstanding health without winding up in the poor house. Tune in, with a notebook in hand, to learn how!
There are two kinds of people: people who have reasons or excuses - the amateurs - and people who have results - the pros. Which person do you think you are and which person would you like to be? If you're with me, I want to get RESULTS! In this episode, I talk about going PRO with your health. Even though you aren't actually going feed your family based on whether you reached your health or fitness goals for the day (like it's your job), this episode will help you create the mental reframe you need to GO PRO with your health. I highlight the difference between amateurs and pros so you can stay consistent, get results and show up like your life depends on it. Because, in reality , IT DOES!
One of the things that trips people up with their health routine is TRAVELING. Amiright? How do you stay true to your health when you're off routine, in a new place, in the car or airplane for hours, jet-lagged and you're surrounded by foreign food and fast-food places? If you don't want your vacation to turn into a big 'ole, free-for-all and ten pounds of weight gained, tune in to learn how you can come home and not even miss a beat when it comes to your health. I answer all these questions and MORE... see you on the inside!
This is a special episode because I have my first guest on the show - my husband, Merrill! I thought this conversation would be super helpful if you are in a relationship and YOU are eager to make some changes, but your partner is not be over-the-moon about it yet. (This is super common, so you are definitely not alone.) In this episode, we talk about our transition - what worked (and what didn't) and how it played out over time because, let me tell you, my husband was NOT onboard with my great idea in the beginning. I think this conversation will benefit you - no matter which side of the conversation you can relate to more. ENJOY!
Are you missing the bigger picture for why your health is important? It is important to drink all your water and stay in shape and maintain and ideal weight, but WHY? Let me give you a hint: it's not for doing the laundry or washing dishes. I think amazing health is important so that you can live your big dreams and goals. If you don't have the health to back you to travel, dance, serve soup at a local soup kitchen or whatever is on your heart, you most likely won't do it. You have a bigger life to live. I believe in you and I believe in dreams. What if you don't think you do? DON'T SKIP THIS PODCAST. Take the time to listen and start to think about possibilities... It will change your life! And the world!
Do we want what is normal in our culture to determine or dictate our health destiny or do we want to be able to do that for ourselves? We get a lot of unhealthy messages and information from society and it influences our health and lifestyle. Are you aware of what those things are? In this episode, we talk a lot about those messages and how you can break away from the norm to blaze our own trail toward amazing health.
This episode was born from a question from a dear listener, "How can you keep up with healthy systems when you struggle with chronic illness?" This is a great question and I'm sure you can relate to some degree. Because if it isn't illness, life has a tendency to throw curve balls in the form of new babies, moves, divorce... and so many other scenarios. All of it that can completely derail all of our healthy routines. What do you do? Tune in to this episode to find out! :)
This BONUS is an extension from Episode #14: Boosting Energy Through Stress Management. This bonus is a short breath focused meditation to get an immediate calming effect that you can do ANY time. I recorded it separately from the bigger episode so you can tune in for a quick listen. ENJOY!
How does stress play a part of your life? Who would you be without it? Do you feel like you could be so liberated if you never felt stressed again? What would that look like in your life? What if I told you that stress is optional? (Wha?!) That's right, my friend, it is! Our stress stems from our thoughts. In this episode, I take a look at different areas of our lives that are causing stress (some are obvious and some may surprise you)... AND! On episode #11, that was all about Plant-based Nutrition, I promised that I would do an entire show on the biggest question I get asked: How do you get enough protein? This episode gets deep into the science and research done that provides evidence that you can, indeed, get enough protein while eating lots and lots of healthy plants. Make sure you grab a notebook to take some good notes because I share a lot of numbers and information that you might want to write down to digest later. Enjoy!
I know none of us want to look silly or incompetent when we are trying something new. So what do we often do? Nothing. We want reassurance that we will be successful at what it is we're going to accomplish before we give it a go. This is the very reason so many of us DON'T even set goals in the first place - we don't want to be uncomfortable and ultimately disappointed when we don't reach our outcome or goal.
In this episode, I am talking about how to stop escape failing (or failing ahead of time), how to start failing better and how and why to an impossible goal.
By implementing these new skills you will be able to see what you're made of and it's usually not as hard as you think. You'll also learn to think differently and you'll start to LEVEL UP! Boom!

When you don't show up for you there are so many people who are ready to welcome you to the club. In this episode, we discuss how to start showing up for you! And why you're totally worth it!
Have you ever used food or any other substance to escape? (I am raising my hand!) We are not taught culturally to feel our emotions. We are sold on pleasures in highly concentrated forms to deal with the negative things in life, but that often gets us into trouble with overeating, over-spending, and over-doing too many things. It is SO easy to do too because pleasure sells. Tune into this episode to get a healthier handle on our negatives emotions and to stop buffering them.
Sometimes we want to change and the people we live with aren't ready to change. We live in a you-can-have-it-all culture: You can have it all, buy it all, do it all. The reality is that we say YES to any opportunity it requires us to say NO to several others by default. Sometimes giving up things that really matter to us. In this episode, we explore what is it that you want to say YES to intentionally - and what NOs are required to have what you most desire. I give lots of great examples to show how to craft a life you love by getting clear on what you need to trade-off - by CHOICE instead of by default.
