Season 3 Episode 13: “Eye of the Storm” Ashlen and Whitney discuss this whirlwind emotional rollercoaster of an episode as season 3 exits with a bang and the story moves to a whole new world (cue Aladdin music here).
Season 3 Episode 12: “The Bakra” We get one of the greatest reintroductions of a character ever as Ashlen and Whitney discuss this season’s penultimate episode. How is Season 3 almost over???
Season 3 Episode 11: “Uncharted” Ashlen makes a bold claim as we discuss the new characters that Claire encounters. The highly anticipated reunion part deux and we get a marriage!
Season 3 Episode 10 “Heaven and Earth” A&W process the many undercurrents (pun intended) of the characters and story arcs in this episode as Jamie and Claire must once again fight to reunite
Season 3 Episode 9: “The Doldrums” We hit the high seas as Outlander takes us on a new adventure! The ship is not the only thing to get stuck in the doldrums as relationships are tested and new connections are made.
Season 3 Episode 8: “First Wife” The proverbial crap hits the fan as the drama amps up in this week’s episode. Lots of book comparisons as Outlander brings the feels and sets us up for a grand adventure!
Season 3 Episode 7: “Creme de Menthe” Lots to discuss as we leave the cozy confines of the brothel and find out that twenty years of separation can’t be repaired in 24 hours.
Season 3 Episode 6: “A.Malcom” A&W process through one of the most anticipated episodes of the series as Jamie and Claire finally reunite. Lots of Voyager comparisons to make as well as a lot of throwback nostalgia from previous episodes. Grab a whisky and your tissues!
Season 3 Episode 5: Freedom & Whisky A&W feel all the feels as they process this episode. Claire makes her choice, Bree begins creating her own identity, and there’s a couple of surprise visits that result in Ashlen learning the fandom definition of “cinnamon roll”. Also…. that ENDING!
Season 3 Episode 4: “Of Lost Things” A&W process this emotionally charged episode with no little discussion of some controversial topics from the source material. We follow Claire, Bree, and Roger as they search for confirmation of Jamie’s survival and whereabouts. Meanwhile, Jamie is in a new kind of prison at Helwater.
Season 3 Episode 3: “All Debts Paid” Whitney and Ashlen are shocked by a few developments in Frank and Claire’s relationship, Ashlen has to eat crow, and we say hello to a new character (not so new!) and goodbye to a brilliant actor.
Season 3 Episode 2: Surrender Ashlen struggles with his emotions and Whitney fights with jet lag as they dive into this emotionally fraught episode. Jamie and Claire haunt each other’s thoughts as they each try to forge an existence without each other.
Season 3 Episode 1: The Battle Joined Lots of mixed emotions as we enter Outlander season 3! Ashlen and Whitney go head to head on some scenes, cry together during others, and discuss the overall impression of this episode as a premiere.
