Welcome to a brand new episode of Qtr Time, the UK's ultimate netball podcast covering all things netball in the UK and beyond!

Following the recent announcement from England Netball on Netball Super League 2.0, we sat down with Managing Director of the NSL, Claire Nelson, to get into the details on what the UK’s elite domestic netball competition will look like from 2025 onwards. This special episode includes everything you need to know, including some exclusive insight from Claire and a whole heap of talking points.

We cover a lot of ground, including: why four existing teams have been dropped from the league, the geographical spread of the remaining teams and two new entities, salary changes including a new banding structure, rule innovations we could see introduced, an update on training partners and how we can align the broadcast product with the league's aim to professionalise.

Lucy G & Lucy P also discuss what this means for the performance pathways and Roses programme, the pros and cons of smaller squad sizes, lessons we can learn from SSN & ANZ, the inclusion of a team owned by Premier League Football Club Nottingham Forest, and whether the two import rule is right for the NSL moving forwards.

There will no doubt be even more discussions over the coming months and we look forward to keeping you updated as we build into 2025. As always we love hearing from our lovely listeners so please do get in touch with us if you have comments, thoughts or questions.

Welcome to a brand new episode of Qtr Time, the UK's ultimate netball podcast covering all things netball in the UK and beyond!

This is part two of our Quad Series Mini Series, reviewing the tournament in Cape Town between Australia, New Zealand, England, and South Africa. We share our three word summaries of all 8 games, take a detailed look at the Bronze medal match and the Final, and name our Players of the Series from each nation.

Then we hear from SPAR Proteas head coach Norma Plummer about being back at the helm of South Africa after the dismissal of Dorette Badenhorst, her reflections on the Quad Series as whole and building toward the Netball World Cup in July.

As we did with the Quad Series mini-series last year, we really enjoyed being able to share conversations with all four head coaches, however unfortunately we haven’t been able to secure some time with Jess Thirlby yet, so we cover a few of the key England talking points ourselves at the end of the episode. We will endeavor to bring you a chat with Jess if possible and release it as Part 3 of the mini-series - keep an eye out on our socials to hear the latest.

Welcome to the first episode of Season 2 of Qtr Time, the UK's ultimate superfan netball podcast! This season we are excited to be partnered with Carbon Jacked.

In today's episode, we preview the Vitality Netball Superleague 2022 opening weekend and give our views on the new broadcast and coverage details for this season. We run the rule over each of the 11 teams and how they're tracking ahead of Round 1, and give our predictions for the match winners on this bumper weekend of netball.

Our special topic this week is all around imports in the VNSL. We have been itching to dive into this crucial topic since the shocking Telegraph article released last summer detailing the VISA restrictions around imports in the UK. To gain insight on this topic we chat to Sarah Gandon from the Netball Players Association, and current import for Manchester Thunder Shadine van der Merwe, formerly of Surrey Storm and the Adelaide Thunderbirds. We hear about the various challenges for import players in our league, how franchises and the NPA work to overcome these issues, and the personal impact they can have on our star players.
