Born in Illinois, he lived in rural Iowa as well. He comes from a long line of farmers that still farm thousands of acres and raise thousands of head of livestock in Central Iowa today. The farmer mentality is the foundation for how Ben operates in the mortgage industry. Ben grew up the youngest of four children in a Baptist preacher’s home. After graduating high school in 2000, Ben set out on a new adventure and moved to east Tennessee. After a brief stint in insurance, Ben became a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator in October of 2013. From that day until August 2018, he worked with an amazing team of people. They built the most successful Homes for Heroes mortgage branch in America. His father also served in the military, as did several of his friends and colleagues. He wanted to better serve our Veterans and Active Duty servicemembers. So, he left that branch to create a better mortgage experience for Veterans. Unfortunately, he was met with health issues that landed him in the ICU towards the end of 2018. After some time had passed for recovery, he partnered with American Mortgage Network in April 2020. With low margins and over 50% of the workforce being military, he could properly focus on helping Veterans use their VA Home Loan benefit. He was a moderator with Vetted VA for 2 years. The testing and knowledge he gained there has been crucial in his ability to help Veterans and Active Duty get a home loan when they would otherwise be denied. Today, Ben is working on being hyper local. Having recently moved 120 miles east, but still in Tennessee, he is establishing himself in an area that is very loyal to their referral partners. He teaches marketing classes and VA loan classes to the local real estate agents. He also utilizes video database marketing, which is his bread and butter when it comes to staying in front of people to gain referrals. Jason Hartman® has been involved in several thousand real estate transactions and has owned income properties in 11 states and 17 cities. His companies help people achieve The American Dream of financial freedom by purchasing income property in prudent markets nationwide. Jason’s Complete Solution for Real Estate Investors™ is a comprehensive system providing real estate investors with education, research, resources and technology to deal with all areas of their income property investment needs. The United States offers nearly 400 distinct and diverse markets while most media pundits characterize the “housing market” as if it were a single entity. We realize they do this to cram a cogent comment into a simple sound bite. Real estate cannot be described that simply. It’s just not accurate. There is NO such thing as a United States real estate market. However, there IS an Atlanta, Georgia or a Dallas, Texas real estate market. To that end, we scour the entire country with an “Area Agnostic™” approach and select the most suitable and sensible markets to recommend to our investors so they don’t waste countless hours doing it themselves. Through our podcasts, educational events, referrals, mentoring and software to track your investments, investors can easily locate, finance and purchase properties in these exceptional markets with confidence and peace of mind. Ron Karr has worked with leaders on six continents to eliminate. Risk gain, buy-in and achieve better results faster with the velocity mindset, which is a registered trademark of his, um, he is a five-time author.
His latest book is called the velocity mindset. And he has a best-selling book called lead sell and set out, uh, and get out of your way would help if I could read my own handwriting and get out of your way. Uh, he, uh, talks about high-performance sales primarily, and that's one of the things that we're going to be really focusing on today.
So welcome to the show, Ron, we're happy to have you. Thank you. Okay. So let's just dig in right away. And one of the things that I want to talk about, um, which is one of the first things that you listed, and I had a question about this is, you know, um, why shortcuts. So again, we're talking about sales and creating velocity and creating a mindset of, you know, moving forward and not just standing still.
It's funny. Cause I had, I have a book called launch how to take your business to new Heights that was originally going to be called stop talking, take action, get results, because it really is about. That mindset of stop talking, stop talking about it, and go do it. So, one of the things that you talk about is why shortcuts and peed your velocity.
And I really want to understand what you mean by shortcuts. And then we can talk about why short cuts in pager velocity. Well, usually you go for the shortcuts when you're more self-focused and customer. Um, and view that the best way I could do that is to answer both questions at once. Yeah. There's a psychological process to sales or influence for leaders it's influenced by just those selling ideas is still selling. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Today, we're talking about how to market your loan officers and real estate agents. The first thing that you need is a great team of people who are willing to work with prospects on their loans! But what if I told you there was an easier way? You see most brokers spend hours going through listings only they can barely find anything good because all these houses are so similar (you know). Matt shares tips on how to reach people on social media by engaging with their posts. WOW! Don’t miss this interview!
I never knew that we as Loan Officers should be more involved than we ever thought possible. In this podcast you will learn ways to use Home Warranties to help us defend and protect our clients!
Our guest, Matt Kucinich of First American homeBuyers Protection Home Warranties helps us understand how Home Warranties can come in handy for soaking up residual seller credits by getting mutliple year home warranties; using warranties when taking care of a parent’s home after they moved into a retirement home; for some extra overhead costs on rental properties by having blanket warranties to assist during tenant transitions; or for purchases (you never know what can happen during a walk-through).
Did you know that even on the buying side of the contract if the HOW is purchased as soon as the contract is ratified the buyer is covered while under contract?
