Desperation creates winners out of underdogs. Zacchaeus, the Woman with the Issue of Blood, Blind Bartemaeus - all were desperate, all went against the normal standard of behavior to capture the attention of the master. Their desperation preceded their miracle. Are you desperate for Jesus?
Jesus the same - yesterday, today, and forever! The same God who saves us also heals us. He still opens blind eyes; He still unstops deaf ears; He still makes the lame to walk. No problem, no situation, no illness is greater than the healing power of God!
Everyone likes to be chosen, to be picked for the team, to be included. We did not choose God, He has chosen us. Our response to this amazing gift of being chosen should be a determination to be fruitful in the Kingdom of God.

Do you believe in miracles? If we believe in God, then of course we do. However, they are not easily understood. Miracles happen at the command of God and are for the intention of proving that God has acted in history. Miracles are for receiving. Are you ready to receive your miracle?

Senior Pastor Anthony Mangun reminds us of the brevity of life. We must be always cognizant of the statement made by the psalmist, "....teach us to number our days." Our time here is limited. This world will pass away, and we must invest in the care of our immortal soul as much, if not more, than we invest in the care of our physical body. We have but one life; we must make sure it counts for Christ.
We must be keepers of a culture of faith. Relentless faith motivates Jesus to act with authority. If we can get our faith aligned with Him, He will move on our behalf.
The Gates of Hell will not prevail against the Church. This is something we know to be true, but Missionary Nathan Harrod caused us to stop and examine what this statement truly reveals. Implied in this statement is the fact that the Church is on the offensive. Gates are a defense, and if the Gates of Hell won't prevail, what that actually means is that nothing can withstand the Church. Nothing can stop the Kingdom of God.
Faith over Fear - That's the message for 2021. Yes, we will have trials and challenges, but God will see us through.
Masks have now become part of our everyday lives. But these masks that the current pandemic have made popular are not the only type of masks we wear. Pastor Gentry encourages us to examine ourselves with truth. To take off our masks when we come before God. He encourages us to open our hearts to the God of truth, and for us to allow Him to unmask us, so that we might know our savior in a more intimate way.

He chose a teenage girl of no fame or fortune to be the vessel that would give life to the Messiah. During this season, let us once again revisit the miracle of God manifest in the flesh.
Through every season, every situation, every valley, every obstacle - the highs and the lows - we will rejoice. In Philippians, what Paul writes to the saints at Philippi is perfectly relevant to us today in 2020. The joy of the Lord is our strength! In all things, we will rejoice.
